hahninator
7:17. Hard to see on the YouTube version. Does anyone have the DVD handy? I want to know what's on this list of songs. Maybe we can get a demo name or something. I haven't seen this list discussed anywhere before. 01 Be Somebody 02 (?) 03 In Stereo 04, etc (?) I can only figure two out. Astat
Second one is "Cover + Duck." I seem to remember checking this out once before and not coming up with anything new. Skipees
forth is: Watch Their Mouth Tak V2 ? (deleted) fifth is: It Feels Familiar very not important note about "Watch Their Mouth Tak V2 ?": the only song in TRT that Tak singing the second verse is RTN. but it's very hard to believe this is Working Title of it. Edit: Tak also did the second verse in "Do What We Did" (and "Tools Of The Trade"). hahninator
Great find. V2 probably references Version 2. Mike probably played more than 1 version of some songs. Or perhaps he's making a note to go back and work on stuff, who knows. I knew there were other FM songs.... They talk about 20 songs they go through in this DVD (Mike, Brad, Jay-Z). 01 Remember The Name 02 Right Now 03 Petrified 04 Feel Like Home 05 Where'd You Go 06 In Stereo (Mike plays the demo with the "It's like that, y'all, yeah" intro, as he did live sometimes) 07 Back Home 08 Cigarettes 09 Believe Me 10 Get Me Gone 11 High Road (Appears to be a demo as well with the beat/drums) 12 Kenji 13 Red To Black 14 Slip Out The Back 15 Be Somebody 16 Cover + Duck (Cover & Duck on the We Major Mixtape) 17 Watch Their Mouth *Unreleased* 18 It Feels Familiar *Unreleased* 19 ??? 20 ??? There are two slots there. It's possible he played The Battle, There They Go, The Hard Way, or some stuff off of the We Major mixtape like Spraypaint & Inkpens or something. Or maybe another unreleased song. I doubt the FMM songs were a part of that. We'll never know what those 2 songs are (19 and 20) but Mike definitely played two songs we don't have. He does mention "an intro, interlude and a short song" which refers to The Battle and Get Me Gone. Astat
"It Feels Familiar" is NOT a song title, it says "Jay - it feels familiar" as a comment Jay-Z made on the track above it. That's why the number 15 is crossed out next to that line and then re-written below it.
