FearOfTheDuck Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 What is the significance of "Akira", referenced in High Voltage?
Jen Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 The only thing I know of that is called that, and that Mike probably has seen is the Japanese anime film Akira. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094625/
GraDoN Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 apparently a very good animation movie, not my style though
ShinigamiPWN Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 I always think of the manga/anime called Akira. >_>
Astat Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 I think Akira was an alter-ego name of sorts that Mike went by in the Hybrid Theory days, but he probably ditched it years ago.
FearOfTheDuck Posted September 7, 2010 Author Posted September 7, 2010 I think Akira was an alter-ego name of sorts that Mike went by in the Hybrid Theory days, but he probably ditched it years ago. Yeah, I had a feeling it was something like that. Cheers everybody!

And the film, Akira, is of course based on the manga of the same name. so everyone's right! hooray!
LPPanther Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Just had to throw in that Akira is fucking sick and if you haven't seen it something is wrong with you haha.
