So just how much DOES Mike sing live?

Recommended Posts

The latest in a long line of "attention to detail"-type lists relating to LP I've made...this is a list of all songs Mike sings parts on during live performances, and what parts they are. I THINK this is totally complete...if anybody can find anything else to add, let me know.

-----

Papercut

-"The sun goes down" bridge, lower harmony part

One Step Closer

-"Just like before" pre-chorus (sometimes)

-Reanimation bridge starting at "Waiting alone," falsetto part an octave above melody

Points of Authority

-I've seen him beatbox a few times during the second verse.

No More Sorrow

-I've heard him harmonize with Chester right before the last chorus. He harmonized on "Be re-" then did his part in the chorus. That's that best I can explain it, anyway.

My December

-You forgot to mention he does all the "Just wish that I didn't feel like there was something I missed.." parts.

Neither of those are singing parts.

Can you find an example of that NMS thing you mentioned? I haven't heard it, but I wouldn't know where to start looking.

  • 3 months later...

are you sure mike sings on my own summer?

during every performance i've heard, he is doing shout-out type stuff during the second verse while chester sings it (example:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkaPmGEaUro)

if there is a version where mike sings the second verse, i'd love to hear it.

unless i'm confused on what you mean by second verse

100% positive. You're probably thinking of the third verse actually, it's easy to think of the first 2 verses as one verse because there is no chorus between them.

- Around the 1:20 mark, Chester does one of those inward shrieking noises while Mike is singing.
