JZLP-Benningstrong Posted Wednesday at 01:50 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:50 PM Colin Brittain, drummer for Linkin Park, is here at Drumeo to break down the band’s newest album: ‘From Zero’. After officially joining the band in 2024, Colin helped shape the sound of the record and now performs every song from the deluxe version of the album, front to back, sharing the grooves, fills, electronics, and production ideas behind tracks like “The Emptiness Machine,” “Heavy Is The Crown,” “Overflow,” and “Two Faced.” Along the way, he talks about how he first connected with the band, the drum kit and sounds used on the album, and what it’s been like stepping into his role in the band. Colin also shares insights into the band’s studio dynamic, how electronics and samples were used across the album, and how his production background influences his drumming. Quote

Loved what he said about Rob, he respects Rob a lot you know what's really weird and interesting it seems like Colin never met Rob.. This interview for sure has tons of bits of really interesting info it was awesome that he also played the deluxe tracks. The deluxe tracklist its the real album Let You Fade its a fantastic ending to this album. I don't remember which artist or producer said this but he said that Rob/LP its the best band to make the transition between beats and drums its flawless Rob cracked the code to make it seem easy. I miss thst dude everyday. Quote
YRQRM0 Posted Thursday at 02:37 AM Posted Thursday at 02:37 AM Ooh, “50 songs” and a specific mention of a hard song w a Latin beat, gold mine haha Quote
silverwing Posted Thursday at 11:12 AM Posted Thursday at 11:12 AM Very cool, first more in-depth interview with Collin, going beyond short-programmed answers. Dude seems so humble, down-to-earth. Amazing what he achieved. But you can steel see in some answers there's a lot of choosing the right words. I'm pretty sure all the band members had a lot of PR training before all this new cycle started. Quote
YRQRM0 Posted yesterday at 02:53 AM Posted yesterday at 02:53 AM It's funny that Colin said GTG came together in a few days/hours when we saw that there were files since like 2019. I wonder if he truly forgot or straight up didn't know Quote

He really liked the phrase and later they used it in the GTG. Quote
