Sao Paulo sold out. 65,000 tickets. Well done - that's 3 massive shows in Sao Paulo on one album for the band. They will definitely keep coming more regularly to South America now with this insane success they are seeing. It's too late to add another show there for this tour but I'd expect 2 in that city moving forward.

Based on the comments from brasilian fans, they rather had another double date in the Allianz Parque than in Morubis stadium due to better sound. Rock/metal overall is pretty bigh in latin/south america. Even Limp Bizkit announced stadium shows (in whatever configuration they play is another question) in Brasil e.g.

What in the world is going on with this tour?

We've seen fans complain about Argentina's venue not be safe for fans, we've seen Bogota's venue not have proper permitting for right now and the Guns N Roses and Kendrick Lamar shows are potentially up in the air, and now there is apparently something scheduled for football/soccer at the Sao Paulo stadium the day of the LP show? All of this after the tour got restructured to remove Rio and Porto Alegre.

Who is responsible for something like this - did Live Nation not do their proper research? The obvious statement would be to not tour that continent in the middle of football/soccer season, but there are some other potential issues too. Maybe it isn't as easy as it seems but other bands seem to not have a lot of issues there?

I don’t know much about Argentina and Colombia, but Morumbis usually hosts a lot of international concerts. Almost one international show per month, and it always works well (although Allianz Parque is better).

About the game, when this happens, São Paulo FC usually plays in another stadium. It’s important to remember that São Paulo is one of the most indebted clubs in Brazil and depends a lot on the income from renting Morumbis to cover its costs.

I wouldn’t be worried about the concert in São Paulo. The CBF probably scheduled the game at Morumbis only as a temporary plan, and the location will be adjusted later.

Detail: It’s important to remember that the football season in Brazil runs from January to December, stopping only for about 20 days at the end and beginning of the year. There will always be games throughout the whole year. The Brazilian football calendar is very packed.
