LPLStaff Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Linkin Park has been nominated in four different categories for the iHeartRadio Music Awards, taking place on March 17, 2025. The band is up for Alternative Artist of the Year, Rock Artist of the Year, Alternative Song of the Year ("The Emptiness Machine"), and Rock Song of the Year ("The Emptiness Machine"). It seems likely LP will take home at least one award of these four, so be sure to tune in in March to catch the awards. As of now, it has not been announced that Linkin Park will perform at the awards, but it is possible - they have already submitted two live performances for awards shows in 2024: "The Emptiness Machine" (Live in Korea) [NRJ Music Awards 2024], which has unfortunately been removed from YouTube due to copyright claims but can be downloaded here. & "The Emptiness Machine" (Live in Brazil) [Billboard Music Awards 2024] Let's see what ends up happening! LeonardoMF93 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 The date easily allows for a performance at the event venue itself! Let’s see... The expectations are for the next Grammy... The Emptiness Machine and From Zero are incredibly strong contenders for at least one nomination in some categories. It’s crazy—I thought it would be impossible for this to happen again since A Thousand Suns. Quote
LPLStaff Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 If they get nominated for and win another Grammy, that would be a massive feat for the band. Quote
KeysToTheLinkinPark Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Isn't it partly up to the band to throw their stuff into the batch and then see if it's getting nominated, if I remember correctly? As for TEM, I don't see why they shouldn't try it. It's probably the biggest new Rock song of 2024, isn't it? At some point it isn't always about the "best" artistical song that gets nominated and wins a grammy. A lot is about popularity. I mean, Metallica is getting nominated again and again and again and it is never like the best thing Metal has ever seen. Quote
LPLStaff Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 Mike said it's up to the record label to advocate for the band and get enough momentum to submit the works or something. Quote
