LPLStaff
Looking back ten years ago today - Linkin Park was in Indianapolis, Indiana to perform their third show of the 2015 North American Tour for The Hunting Party. Just before the show, Chester broke his ankle and still performed the full show. It's hard to believe it has been ten years since this incident, but it ended up being just another notch in the belt for Chester of injuries sustained around shows where he ended up powering through and performing the show. Here is a throwback to the LPTV episode of the incident: Other injuries sustained over the years for Chester include the infamous spider bite incident in 2001 where he was told to cancel shows immediately by a doctor but still performed, breaking what appears to be his wrist in the middle of the fall European Tour in 2003 but still playing all of the shows, jumping off of the stage in Australia during Papercut and breaking his wrist mid show but still toughing it out for the rest of the set, hitting himself in the face with a tennis racket and requiring stitches in Asia on the Minutes to Midnight tour, and more. One thing these all have in common? He kept going and played the shows for the fans. Always remembering Chester who is missed dearly. JZLP-Benningstrong
Man sometimes I daydream about Chester I miss him everyday and it's cool that i found out a way in my heart and mind to love these two versions of the band, at the beggining it was weird to listen to Emily's versions and then Chester's og versions it felt like two different bands but now i feel like im listening to the same band. He was the only rockstar of the band, having injuries and still going all out, hanging out with famous people, performing in rock and roll all star bands. He's one of a kind, pretty sure that he's the best vocalist of our gen. Probably only Corey Taylor can compete w Chester. He is missed Quote Link to comment https://lplive.net/forums/topic/18345-a-look-back-chester-breaks-his-ankle-ten-years-ago/#findComment-339991 Share on other sites

He is missed The hate was against the album the problem was that Chester was not in a good place and he was the only band member that decided to confront fans.. According to Sean he was so bummed that the album was a flop. LPLStaff
The album itself was not a flop by any measure of the term. But the backlash was severe. He took it personally - it was on the level of A Thousand Suns but he wasn't in a good headspace for OML. Shifter
Poor sir Chester, we remember him every day. The King of Rock. He was probably suffering from a poorly treated bipolar disorder, which probably no one even knew about....
