LPLStaff
There have been quite a few posts going around about Linkin Park performing in India in 2025. We have taken a look at the posts and here is the current rundown of what is going around the Internet: It appears all of this began with the recent Forbes article that incorrectly said the band would be coming to India on the From Zero World Tour. Since that article was posted, the text was updated to correctly say Indonesia (previously missing from the article) instead of India. This can be attributed to just a simple mistake/error. However, there is now a flow of posts online about the band possibly performing in India. Creative Minds India claims they have an exclusive that the band will be visiting India in December 2025. However, this only quotes the original Forbes article text, "The tour will see Linkin Park make their way across North, South and Central America, Europe, UK, Japan and India in 2025", which now reads "Indonesia" instead. V Are Entertainment says, "Linkin Park is coming to India in 2025 🤯 Stay updated on their From Zero World Tour with us. Official announcements and ticket sales are expected soon! Concert rumored for December 2025." This post includes the month of December, which Linkin Park currently has no dates announced for, but there is no source on this post either. T2 Online says the same thing - that the band will perform in India in 2025, but again lists no source or more information. Unfortunately we have not heard anything about the band performing in India next year, but with Joe Hahn saying Linkin Park will return to China, it certainly is possible. With a quick search, it looks like Creative Minds India indeed accurately posts about shows before they are announced, so there could be something there. However, there is simply just not enough information yet to say yes or no that the band will play there... we will have to just wait and see. This is certainly the most discussion that has happened around Linkin Park playing in India, but at least a good portion of it appears to have run with the incorrect country list in Forbes. To date, Linkin Park has never performed in India and they are one of the most requested acts to come to the country. Famously for fans, Chester in 2014 promised Linkin Park would visit someday. In February 2014, Chester was set to perform in Greater Noida, India with Stone Temple Pilots for the MTV Xtreme event, but the entire STP tour had to unfortunately be canceled so that Chester could finish recording The Hunting Party with Linkin Park. We will update this post if more rumors or information becomes available. Shubho-Lp
Whoa!! Had no idea about Chester's performance in Noida with STP! Damn that'd have been crazy. Honestly, a large part of the Indian crowd literally grew up listening to LP. For some, it was their first time hearing of an English-speaking rock band. Even the folks who had been listening to acts since 70s-80s they claim LP was such a big boom during 2000s. So if they do end up turning up in India - that would be a HUGE thing. Typically, if it's a multi-city tour then large bands have showed up in the following cities - Mumbai, Delhi, Calcutta, Bangalore, Shilong, and Meghalaya. So it'd be pretty wild to see where things goes. Note - Joe visited Delhi and moved around the streets back in 2019 or 2021 or 2022 - don't remember the exact year. On the personal front - sad I won't be there during that time. However, will be seeing them in the Netherlands!
