LPLStaff
While working on Linkinpedia's Fort Minor song pages, we came across a news article from 2005 that said Mike gave a shout out on a mixtape song by an artist named Trek Life. After tracking down the song, we have uploaded it to our YouTube page. The song is called "Freestyle Audio-Live & Amad Jamal" by Trek Life, from the 2005 mixtape "Keep the Receipt." It features a shout out by Mike Shinoda at the beginning of the track: "What up ladies and gentlemen. You are tuned into the sounds of Trek Life, working hard over here in the city of angels. My name is Mike Shinoda, I'm coming at you straight out of Fort Minor. Big shoutout to my man Kevin Sakoda. Kev, keep the receipt big boy, peace!" The mixtape was released on September 18, 2005, during the Fort Minor era. You can download it for free on his Bandcamp page: https://treklife.bandcamp.com/track/freestyle-audio-live-amad-jamal Quote Link to comment https://lplive.net/forums/topic/14722-trek-life-freestyle-audio-live-amad-jamal-shout-out-by-mike-shinoda/ Share on other sites
