RogueSoul
The Post Traumatic Tour is coming to an end, but not without a few more action packed shows! Mike and co. are hitting the stage in Prague, Czech Republic today at the Forum Karlin for their next stop on their European Tour. Mike has played in Prague several times before. Their first show there was at the end of 2003 on the Meteora European Tour, a rescheduled show from earlier in the year which was cancelled after Chester was hospitalized for severe back pain. Fun fact: during that same year, Linkin Park went to Prague to film the music videos for both 'From The Inside' and 'Numb!' The band returned in 2007 on the first Minutes To Midnight European Tour, playing new tracks like 'Leave Out All The Rest' and 'The Little Things Give You Away.' Mike's most recent performance in Prague was at the Aerodrome Festival in 2017 on the One More Light European Tour. The set featured some of the tour's best moments, like the 'Fallout' and 'Roads Untraveled' mashup intro, as well as the Experience Version of 'Castle Of Glass,' which featured 'A Place For My Head' over the outro. Linkin Park certainly left Prague wanting more, and Mike's back to deliver. Mike's last show was in Munich, and it was a show full of surprises. Opening with 'Introduction' and 'Petrified,' Mike started the set energetically with a handful of hip-hop hard-hitters (also including 'Hold It Together' and 'When They Come For Me'). The set continued mellowy, with numbers like 'Prove You Wrong' and 'Nobody Can Save Me' adding a bit of a bittersweet tone during the middle of the set. The biggest surprise of the night: the tour debut of 'Lift Off!' The song was performed for the 2nd time ever, and for the first time since it debuted at the last show of the Outbreak Tour in Silver Springs, Maryland. This live version featured a completely different structure than last time, featuring the demo verse and parts of 'Step Up' and 'High Voltage.' 'Place To Start' is the only Post Traumatic track that Mike has performed before and hasn't played on the tour yet, now. 'Brooding,' 'Promises I Can't Keep,' 'Nothing Makes Sense Anymore,' a full 'Can't Hear You Now,' and 'What The Words Meant' have all yet to be performed, but their chances are looking slimmer by the show. Do you think we'll see any of these songs debuted before the tour concludes? Who's going to the show? LPLive staff member Mark (Hahninator) is there, so be sure to say hey if you see him! The tour is winding up, with only a few shows left in Amsterdam, Ludwigsburg, and Luxembourg before Mike wraps up the whole cycle with two shows in Tel Aviv, Israel.
