    - Grey Daze performed from 1:00 to 4:00 AM every Friday and Saturday of February, 1995 during Electric Ballroom's "After Hours" nights. The band performed sets entirely consisted of songs by Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Candlebox, The Cult and others. The price of admission was only 2$.

    - According to the article titled "Tempe council approves nightclub's after-hours bid" from the January 18th, 1995 issue of Arizona Republic, the Electric Ballroom's owner Jim Torgeson had trouble obtaining a legal permit for the club to remain open after 01:00 AM, but eventually gained it after the meeting with Tempe's City Council members that also included his business partners and Grey Daze's manager Kerry Rose, who most likely had to participate to defend interests of Grey Daze that started playing the Ballroom's "After Hours" gigs in less than two weeks after the meeting.

    - When asked about the reasons and overall story behind these shows, Jonathan Krause explained: "We wanted to get our name out there. Actually, it was a brilliant idea. We would purposely try and slip in some of our originals. Some shows were a bust playing covers to an empty house. Those nights were like practice sessions. Gave us time to work on our stage presence. I don't remember how much more they continued to play these types of shows after I left".

    - According to Mace Beyers, the band's second bassist who replaced Jonathan Krause after he left and also the Ballroom's production manager at the time, he first saw the band during one of the "After Hours" nights and joined them pretty soon after that. Sean Dowdell remembers playing with him during those nights, so we can safely assume that Jonathan left the band around February of 1995.

    - Grey Daze were the resident band for Electric Ballroom and played a huge number of shows there during the years of its existence.

    - As it was reported, before being the shop, Club Tattoo was a regular convention type of show in Electric Ballroom dedicated to tattoos. There was also a related monthly event called Club Sex that was also dedicated to tattoos and piercing, but according to the band's bassist Mace Beyers, who was also a production manager of the venue at the time, was like a "swinger night" that featured such vendors like adult book stores, wet t-shirt contest, etc.

    - Despite not being mentioned on the ad, it turned out that Grey Daze also performed that night. It was also reported that this was actually the very first Club Sex event to happen and that it was filmed by Mace's friend supposedly named Dene from a local video production company called Independent Video. A short clip of Warsaw's performance exists (although mislabeled) on YouTube.

    - Grey Daze were the resident band for Electric Ballroom and played a huge number of shows there during the years of its existence.

Comments: Obtained from Jonathan Krause by LPLive and released as an exclusive on July, 2015. At the beginning of recording, you can hear crowd noise before "Painted", then a glitch takes you right to the middle of the song. 'Wake Me' is abrupted with glitches and the recording jumps to the ending of 'What's In The Eye?'. The ending of 'How Would You Be' is cut. The tracklist of this recording is believed to be the full setlist, but it is still possible that more songs were played.

Setlist Icon: Yes Notes: 0 Song No 1: 01 Song Name 1: Painted Song Notes 1: w/ Early Guitar Solo; Live Debut Song No 2: 02 Song Name 2: The Endless Highway Song Notes 2: Live Debut Song No 3: 03 Song Name 3: Starting To Fly Song Notes 3: Early Version Song No 4: 04 Song Name 4: My Bluest Day Song Notes 4: Live Debut Song No 5: 05 Song Name 5: Wake Me Song Notes 5: w/ Early Guitar Solo Song No 6: 06 Song Name 6: What's In The Eye? Song Notes 6: Live Debut Song No 7: 07 Song Name 7: How Would You Be Song Notes 7: Live Debut Show Notes:

    - This was the band's first public show ever. The line up for this incarnation of the band was: Chester Bennington (vocals), Sean Dowdell (drums), Steve Mitchell (guitar) and Jonathan Krause (bass). Confirmed by Chester's introduction during the show.

    - This is the only known performance of the songs called 'The Endless Highway' and 'How Would You Be' and the very first time we found out of their existence.

    - Since it was such an early show and featured a different guitarist named Steve Mitchell, the guitar parts of known songs were slightly or entirely different from what ended being up released nearly a year later on the band's first album 'Wake Me' with guitar solos being the most prominent difference. Some drum parts were different as well.

    - The band performed what appears to be the early version of 'Starting to Fly' with a slightly faster tempo, different guitar solo and additional guitar during the outro. The transition between the first chorus and second verse was longer. Chester also sang the verses on a higher key.

    Debut(s):

    - These are the first ever public performances of 'Painted', 'The Endless Highway', 'My Bluest Day', 'What's In The Eye?' and 'How Would You Be'. According to Jonathan Krause, 'Wake Me' was originally a Sean Dowdell And His Friends song, so Chester and Sean likely performed this song before in some form. According to Chris Goad, 'Starting To Fly' was also performed with Sean Dowdell And His Friends? before Grey Daze.

    Other Notes:

    - According to the band's bassist at the time Jonathan Krause, the band went with the spelling "Gray Daze" during the band's earliest days before finally changing it to "Grey" a few months later.

    - Even though the band's flyer for the show didn't list any other bands, according to January 21st, 1994 issue of Arizona Republic, the main performers for the night were Lemon Krayola.

    - The ad from April 17th, 1996 issue of Arizona Republic also states "The event features more than 20 local entertainment acts, children activities, a trash art contest, face painting, jugglers and educational booths".

    - On the very first day of working on the band's debut album Wake Me, the album's producer David Knauer recorded the band playing live in his studio. He recorded their performance straight to DAT tape and had Chester say the name of every song so it was on tape as well. The three Grey Daze demo tracks ('Commit', 'Come On' and 'Here, Nearby') that were circulating for years are actually just a small part of his unedited live recording. David: "Then I made cassettes for myself and each band member from this digital master. We used these to listen to the songs for a week or so then got back together to talk about the songs and choose what goes on the album. The only copies out in the world were the 4 cassettes that each band member had".

    - Unlike the way 'Commit' was performed in Rally Kap Sports Bar a month prior to this show, part of its outro was not sped up during this performance.

    - The version of 'Morei Sky' performed during this session still had a slightly different solo and an extra chorus at the end of the song comparing to the final studio version appeared on Wake Me.

    - Before kicking into 'Come On', Chester mistakenly introduced it as 'She Shines', but then corrected himself.

    - 'Shouting Out' did not feature any female backing vocals during this performance.

    - According to David, both 'Holding You' and 'Believe Me' were so new at the time, the band had to play them a few times to get them right live.

    - A few of the lines on 'Here, Nearby' were switched comparing to the final studio version appeared on Wake Me.

    - Unlike the way 'She Shines' was performed in Rally Kap Sports Bar a month prior to this show, this time the song had a chorus melody that is identical to the one appeared on Wake Me, but the song still featured a totally different structure with lesser number of choruses and, as a result, bigger emphasis on the line "So eager" which, at the song's climax, Chester sings 16 times in a row.

    Other Notes:

    - 'Commit', 'Come On' and 'Painted' didn't make it to any of the band's CDs.
