He kicked a large steel door and broke his foot, sending him to the hospital for a cast. There is a Meteora-era demo entitled 'Broken Foot'.
Other Notes:- The show was put on by local radio station Rock 105.3 and was to make up for Chula Vista not having Ozzfest come to town that year. A large portion of the proceeds from this show went to the Red Cross since it occurred just after 9/11.
- "There were a few speed bumps along the way. Ozzy and Godsmack had to pull out due to complications arising out of the September 11th terrorist attacks. Luckily, the Deftones signed on at the last minute to headline and Linkin Park, who were taking a vacation between their recently completed European tour and the start of the Family Values tour, decided to take part as well and donate their proceeds of around $75,000 to the American Red Cross."
Tour Diary:While we weren't in the country on September 11, we're extremely touched and strengthened by the outpouring of support we received from fans in Europe. The horror of the tragedy reaches far beyond the United States, and we've witnessed this first hand.
We felt that raising money for the Red Cross was a small way we could contribute to the relief effort. If you're in a position to help, please make a donation to the American Red Cross at 1-800-HELP-NOW, or go to helping.org to check out a number of other organizations aiding those in need. If you can't donate money, please help in other ways - spread peace and tolerance to everyone in your life. It makes a difference.

They experimented with a few different song variations at the start of Ozzfest 2001 and this was the most unique one. It is the only show we know of where Linkin Park started off a show with 'Points Of Authority'. For years, we thought 'Forgotten' might have opened this show but the taper of Source 2 confirms he was given permission to film the first three songs of the show ('Points Of Authority', 'Papercut', and 'With You').
- This is the only time Joe ever played the LEE Interlude before a song other than 'Papercut'. At this show, it was before 'With You'.
- Brad played a short guitar intro to 'By Myself'. After it, Chester remarked, "Did they put fuckin' quaaludes in the beer?"

Other Notes:- Originally, this show was rumored for years to have been in September 2001. Upon discovery of tour itineraries from 2001 in March 2016, we were able to confirm that yes, there was a canceled Top of the Pops performance on September 13, 2001. We had this date listed as being on March 24, 2001 before the London Docklands Arena show, but the tour itinerary discovery finally confirmed the date as being on March 8, 2001 between the Italy and Austria shows.
