    Older Linkin Park fansites (pre-LPLive) listed these shows as being canceled due to passport issues with Linkin Park. In March 2016 with the discovery of a tour itinerary from this tour, we can confirm that this is not the case. Linkin Park was not scheduled to ever play these shows. Instead, the Street Soldiers' Tour ended on February 24th, and Linkin Park left the U.S. three days later on February 27th for Madrid, where they started the tour. The reason for this is because the band was in Los Angeles to shoot the music video for 'Crawling'.

    3/04/01: SPAIN, FRANCE

    what's up, peoples!? so we're out here in montpellier, france right now; we just finished three dates in madrid, san sebastian, and barcelona. please excuse any typing errors, as french keyboards are vastly different from the ones i'm used to. anyway, the shows have been going great, and we hope all the people wathcing are having as much fun as we are...it's interesting: mentally, we have to backtrack, and get used to playing in front of people who haven't heard us before. the album hasn't been out for very long out here, and not that many people are familiar with the songs (or the english language either, for that matter). so it's been a fun challenge to play extra hard, and hopefully we'll have some video footage for you to see someday. i love hearing people sing our songs with heavy accents.

    french food is for the experienced...i have a hard time finding places i can eat at. it's all good though. we haven't gambled on this tour yet. but we have hung out with the deftones and taproot. lucky we haven't gambled with them, becuase i know none of us or taproot could hang if stephan bet his rolex on a hand of cards. word.

Deftones had a lot of problems during their set - Chino was very drunk, his guitar wouldn't work and he had a roadie tying his shoes for him.     - The band changed up the setlist entirely due to this being the second show in Manchester on the tour. 'A Place For My Head' and 'Forgotten' were moved to the start of the set and 'With You' and 'Runaway' took their place at the end of the set before 'One Step Closer'. This setlist was one song longer than what the band had been playing for the whole tour.
    - The normal show intro used before 'With You' on this tour was used before 'A Place For My Head'.

    - After 'Crawling', Mike and Chester asked the crowd whether they wanted to hear 'Pushing Me Away' or a "really old song not on the album" called 'High Voltage'. The crowd overwhelmingly voted for 'High Voltage'. The intro to 'Pushing Me Away' was started twice (with one even featuring Brad playing part of the guitar part on the intro) and it was aborted twice before 'High Voltage' began.

'Crawling' was played at the first two shows in Madrid and San Sebastian but due to the Montpellier recording being incomplete, we don't know if it made it to the fourth show or not. Sometime in between San Sebastian and this show is when it was dropped (either Barcelona or Montpellier). Prior to September 2018 when this setlist was added, we thought 'Crawling' could have made it to Milano and Wien, but we now know that it did not.

    9/10/01: AFTER THE VMAS...EUROPE

    the mtv VMA's were fun. i had a good time getting together with the xecutioners again. and for those that are into hip hop, i just got the advance of their album, and i think it's definitely worth checking out. the song joe and i did with them is on there. ...anyway, it was a big hollywood-style event, and we're all pretty glad to be done with it and back to a little more normal routine. we're touring in europe for the next couple of weeks, and then comes family values. check the tours section. word.

    - This is the only time Joe ever played the LEE Interlude before a song other than 'Papercut'. At this show, it was before 'With You'.

    - Brad played a short guitar intro to 'By Myself'. After it, Chester remarked, "Did they put fuckin' quaaludes in the beer?"

    - This is the first show of Ozzfest where the band opened with 'With You'. It remained as the opener for the setlist for the rest of the tour. It is unknown what they opened with at the OFFEST show just before this in Missouri.

    - While we don't know the full setlist, we know that 'Crawling' was dropped from the setlist at this show. From a linkinpark.com chat on June 10th:

    Shawna: mike, why didnt you do crawling in indianapolis? i was looking forward to that

    mike: shawna--chester wasn't feeling good, and crawling is hard on his throat

    Other Notes:

    - Chester, Brad and Phoenix dressed up as 80's Rock Stars complete with leather pants, bandannas, studs, etc. This was their way of dealing with some rough crowds the first couple shows of the Ozzfest tour. This is also documented on the 'Frat Party At The Pankake Festival' DVD.

    - 'With You' was released on the Ozzfest 2001 CD. The CD insert says, "Recorded live at Alpine Valley Music Theatre, Milwaukee, Wis. June 9, 2001 and at Deer Creek Amp. in East Troy, Wis. June 11, 2001", but a recording exists from the June 9th show and it is not from that show. There was also no show on June 11th. The Deer Creek Amphitheatre/Music Center exists (now under the name Klipsch Music Center and formerly Verizon Wireless Music Center) and is located in Noblesville, IN. We have a suitable date one day later on June 12th. An Epic Records spokesperson confirmed to MTV that the album was recorded at the Milwaukee and Indianapolis stops of the tour. While this is not 100% confirmed, it is almost certain that the recording of 'With You' came from this show.

    - Footage from this show was used in the 'Points Of Authority' music video.
