  1. Hey all!

There is this dude I've been watching on YouTube called iAmSickFlowz. He does Rap music reaction videos. He is pretty entertaining. He recently got into LP and has been doing reaction videos on his 1st listen of certain LP songs. Sometimes, it's a little annoying when he stops the video and comments on it, but overall, it is amazing to see someone fall in love with this band. They have found another new fan in him.

    So please check him out!

It gets a D (60/100) rating, which is passing, but BARELY. Please, LP, get away from the 'Clap/Snap' drums and stop using the Chipmunk Vocal Effects.

  3. My complaint is how in the world is Charlotte, NC (9 hours away from me) close to Nashville, Birmingham, Memphis, or Chattanooga? The 1st presale sign up gave me a false sense of hope that they would be coming local. But alas, if MGK is the only support, then I am not bummed as much.

  4.

Their lead singer quit the band. They aren't as big anymore.

While I agree that they aren't as big as they were in the 2000s, they are still a pretty big deal, with or without Tom. Tom was AWFUL live with them and was bringing down the quality of their live shows because his heart was more into his side projects than Blink. Matt has 1000% increased my interest in seeing Blink live. He does a great job replacing Tom and the new songs with him are killer. I think this is a great lineup for a summer tour and I can't wait to see the dates.

B and C city USA tour right now. Interesting they play West Palm for a festival and Denver later. August 12th. LP could kick off Aug 13/14 in the midwest.

As for this, they just finished up an A/B city Amphitheater tour last year for this album, so why not hit the B & C cities? Now that they have the Deluxe album coming out, it'll be a perfect chance to loop back around for some of the A & bigger B cities that they missed.

  5. Meh. It is a decent Pop song. I'm sure it'll get a good amount of radio play. The track length will get Radio Stations to eat it up. I'm not sure about Chester's shaky vocals. I know it is meant to add drama and levity to the track but it just makes his voice sound weak. That might be the point, but I'm not a fan at this moment. Kiiara was a nice addition and I like her parts.

I do like how it starts by just launching into it with no real intro.

  6.

That would be like an act of mercy, no one gives a fuck about them they were cool back in 2007 but I don't know why they never grew as a band.

Yeah, you clearly don't follow them at all. They just completed their California Noir 2 part album and have a cult following on FB. They would be awesome as an opener. Have Julien-K open, then have a Alt Rock act that had an album come out last year that is moderately popular in the U.S. (Biffy Clyro, Pixies, Wilco, Silversun Pickups, Foals), and the LP headlines. Both opening acts would cover LPs potential new style and would rake in a pretty good haul on ticket sales too.

  7. Cool little interview. I've always loved seeing Chester do charity covers. He always puts 100% into the performance, and I love showing people and seeing their reactions to his voice. He was amazing in the videos that Church put up a few years ago. (Bullet with Butterfly Wings, Whole Lotta Love, & Mountain Song) It is interesting that they chose Frankie Perez from Apocalyptica instead of someone else a little more famous, but he's still got a pretty good voice, so it's a good fit.

  8. They would definetly have to bring in the HT, Meteora, and heavy THP stuff to win over the Mayhem fans. However, I could see LP being very comfortable doing the other more 'Rock/Alt Rock' oriented festival that Rockstar sponsers, which is the Uproar Tour. Past headliners for it include Disturbed, A7X, Stone Sour, Three Days Grace, Seether, Shinedown, Godsmack, Staind, & Alice in Chains

  9. If there isn't a Nashville/Atlanta/Birmingham date in Jan - Mar, I think I'll go crazy.

Hopefully there will be a couple of good openers and I'll explode. If not, I'll do MFR. ;)

Really hoping for a good middle band with an album release within the last year (Chevelle, Flyleaf, Taking Back Sunday, The Used, Nonpoint, Adelitas Way) and then an up-&-coming band that is starting to get radio airplay, and need a big tour to launch them even higher (You Me at Six, Nothing More, Starset).

  10. The show was AMAZING. I was on the rail, middle, but just a little to the right of the mic stand. The entire band was flawless and they put on a GREAT show. Chester was blowing up all over the place, the DeLeo's were groovin' and melting faces and Kretz provided the steady backbone for the entire show. Chester was shaking hands and kissing babies the entire show. He was having the time of his life.

Some memorible moments for me were: Robert DeLeo throwing me his slide and I suck at catching and knocked it into the photo pit. The one and only Harry Reese slid in to take some pics and other people were asking him to pick it up. I guess he didn't care or thought he dropped something because he reached down, pocketed the slide, and went about his job. Haha. Another is Chester pointing me out during Blackheart cause I knew the words. Yay!

It was very clear that the band did not know what to expect of this show. Tickets sales were not that great and were eventually put on BOGO. Obviously, they didn't expect a packed house when they came out, but that's what they got! Chester kept thanking the crowd, making jokes, and having fun on stage with the band. During the encore, Chester said it was one of the best shows he's played. (I know he says this a lot, but he went on to emphasize that the club scene was the heart & soul of Rock and Roll and we proved it last night.) He even pointed over to Dean and said that he said it was one of the best crowds that he had played to in a while. The ENTIRE band was really impressed with how everything went. I hope this means they come back soon with a better known opening band. Wray was fine, they jammed, but every song of theirs sounded the same and was VERY Hipster-ish with the wave/water/WahWah effect on the guitar on EVERY SONG....

Alas, it was great to finally get to see Chester with STP, and to see how much fun they are having together. I HIGHLY recommend to go check them out if you can.
