The funny thing is I didn't even notice Chester's mic issues until he thanked us for helping him out later. The crowd was great and really responsive. Really wish I had paid more for seats, though.

I don't have decent mobile recording equipment. I would if I did. Hoping for a great show. Wish I didn't have lawn seats. At least I can get in a little early with my LPU laminate.

I'm going to the show. Really disappointed that there won't be a DSP.

No one seemed to comment on the fact that Chester came out wearing a fedora hat and Joe was wearing a ninja mask the entire show.

Joe put the mask on right after the M&G, I think for the LPU chat. For the soundcheck the didn't get all the way through Blackout all three times and they started Faint but didn't even get to the verse. One question asked was what they'd do if they weren't musicians. Chester said a real estate agent, I can't remember what Brad said but it was funny, and Mike said he'd work for Brad. Someone asked what the whole ATS artwork with the animals and stuff and Mike said that it was abstract just like that album was abstract, said the tiger obviously wasn't literal. Brad said he thought the tiger was literal. Mike seemed to shake the most hands at the M&G don't know if he offered his hand more or if people made the effort more with him. He was the only one who used hand sanitizer afterward and he rushed to it. Had a small conversation with Phi, Mike, and Joe. Conversation ended with Joe insisting I was from Canada because I told Mike I was from Northern Michigan. Brad and Rob were friendly, but Chester was complaining to one of the roadies about how much Lake Michigan stank. The whole thing was just surreal to me. I meant to have Mike draw something on the back of my phone, but was so freaked out I forgot about it. Show was great.

I am going with my father, got him to join the LPU so he wouldn't be just hanging around Chicago while I am there. Wonder what the day before activities are and how many people will actually show up for it...

I am going and I got my father to join the LPU. Also going to the Summit.

 

Will post pics when I get them. And say anything about the show.

Mike said they are not done yet, so the date seems kind of realistic.

And it is 320 kbps, better quality than iTunes. It seems that that bit rate is pretty much standard now.

what was it? 24 bucks? In the US that's 17.38. Still a no-no. Notice it includes the Catalyst video too

Thank you for posting this. Most of the people thought that would be the price in USD but obviously it isn't as it is in NZD. This is the deluxe version so it will cost more, notice it has The Catalyst video and Blackbirds, a song which (no matter what you think of it) technically otherwise would cost $5.00. I'm guessing the US price for this will be $15.99 or $16.99 and there will be a lower priced addition that just has the album tracks.

12 AM is midnight. I know it is a weird system; it should be 10 AM, 11 AM, 12 AM, 1 PM but it is 10 PM, 11 PM, 12 AM, 1 AM.

Back in June, Mark posted some info about the album on his Facebook.

 

He said "13 tracks. September 14th." He said he got it from the original gif but he never told us how.

 

Well, he got the date right. Maybe there's 13.

I think that Chester and the rest of the LP crew are assuming that the image will finish today so they will post it later when it its done.

Mike just basically said the other 6 songs aren't going to be rock...I really hope there is at least one song with aggressive vocals...it wouldn't be an LP album without one.

He also said that there probably isn't 12 tracks.

Trying to figure out what country the rapper in Track 4 is from. Interesting accent. But I also vote for track ten.
