  1. Yeah, i was just wondering about the Birmingham setlist as well. Cos the other setlists i've seen from this tour don't actually have any annotation on them at all.. does anyone know about when before the show the band write on it?

Because next to BIO it says 'swimming in the smoke'..and we all know that's not what ended up being played :P

  2. That got us all a bit excited didn't it! I got a 'joke' text from a friend saying NRL had been played after OSC which i actually believed momentarily... see what the hype does!

Nice that they switched the set up a bit and FTI got an outing again, OSC as a closer is obviously epic. Though have to say i really like The Radiance live even if it's not classed as a full track or whatever.

  3. Fucking epic show. Chester pointing at me while i was rapping Reading My Eyes with Mike and going mental for it has got to be one of my highlights of my three shows! Absolutely insane. Screaming Place For My Head throughout hoping it would persuade them to play it in full but they still played it in Bleed It Out so it's all good. Double whammy ;D and yes best Bleed It Out EVER

Met up with Arravind and Rob Wilson accidentally so that was nice :)

Proper buzzing from the show still, they made a load of mistakes and Chester had to get the crowd to sing half of Leave Out All the Rest cos he was having problems :D. So many memorable moments from the show. Hope they leave them on the DSP cos it gives the show so much more personality!

  4. Third and final show of the tour for me :). Not too bothered which set they end up playing cos i saw them at Manchester and Newcastle, but i really do love the Messenger live. We'll see what happens! If they threw the full version of Place For My Head in again it would be awesome but seems doubtful just for the Birmingham show!

Excited to hear what happens at the Summit and the two London dates for the people that can go. Hope everyone enjoys the show tonight (especially Aravind as you've been waiting for so long!). See everyone at the Music for Relief booth :)

  5. I've seen Linkin Park and Muse live. Muse are technically brilliant but there's something about Linkin Park, that even though they make mistakes and Chester isn't always on it, they'll always be the best live band for me!

MTV awards don't mean anything to me but it's always nice for LP to get a little recognition :)

  6. Just got back from the show, had a M&G! :D All the guys were really chilled and lovely, short but sweet. Really liking this format of Meet and Greet actually, there were only a small number of LPUers so it was pretty intimate. Mike chatted to us for a bit after all the others had left! Can't believe i met them :o!!!

Glad to hear Papercut and The Messenger at this show. During the BIO bridge i'm pretty I sure can safely describe it as a "Party Mix", similar to that at MK. Mike and Chester had a little competition ;) Also, gave the guys an England flag at the M&G for the second night running (Melian got hers on at Manchester ;D). Had LPlive written on it

Great show. Hope i can make another night in the UK this tour

  7. Like most people have said, we can't really judge at all 'til we hear the record. If i adore the album then i'll be all for them playing it in it's entirety! Honestly i'd rather them shake it up in this way than playing the same set list with a few new songs chucked in to freshen it up a bit. Most fans who've seen them a lot in the past fews years would feel similar i think.

When Nine Inch Nails played the whole of The Downward Spiral i was gutted i didn't get the chance to see that. I don't know if ATS can live up to the standard of TDS, but if so i'll be more than pleased to see the whole of it live :D

  8. There are a lot of rumours about 06/11 in Sheffield as well which would make sense and I wouldn't be surprised if we get another date in between that and Manchester either in Liverpool or Nottingham - was gonna go to all shows but may limit it to northern shows due to cost :)

Got to agree with that. Does a five day gap between Manchester and Birmingham make sense at all? I'm really hoping they add another Northern date, Sheffield would be awesome.

  9. It's always weird to hear LP members talking to people from the BBC, especially as Nick Grimshaw annoys the hell out of me 95% the time. But yeah, that interview was great. I'd have loved to have heard DBS in the Live Lounge, doing a cover as well as there own track! Can't wait to hear the session tracks though :).

  10. "I don't think people should expect to see an album every couple of years.

We don't even get a LP record every two years, why should we expect a DBS one that often? Ha..

Sounds good anyway. Really hope i get to one of the small gigs they're playing.

  11. ^^^ WHere bouts were you camped???

Yeah.. My voice is TILL fucked... and I've got a demo this weekend to goto as well lol

MK had 70K fans... Sonisphere had less, and of those there, not ALL of them went to see LP.... So many people werr eithe rpassed out or in camp youtube uploading their BFMV videos...

Family Camping! \m/ Clean portaloos = win ;]

Yeah, i keep forgetting how many people were at MK...o.O

lol yeah im friends with kate me kate and lynne were disapointed but were hard to please i guess lol but the festival was cool and if DBS do manchester im so going see how they play at there own gig

Well then i'm extra sad you were disappointed!

Yeah i'm gonna definitely try to see them at their own gig- where they aren't going to overshadowed by Linkin Park...

On a side note about Knebworth, how lax was the security? They need to get their shit organised for next year! Two of our friends managed to get backstage, and at the side of the stage while Linkin Park were on stage. <_<

  12. I'm Wil, Megaphone man from Sonisphere, the guy in the black trench and big boots, may also be seen in nothing more than my boxers and boots on the Guitar hero stage

I woudn't say we're quiet.. I'd say more appriciative in other ways... I think we'd do pretty well in a worldwide LPMosh, and I think also that LP has that "stigma", like Feeder on Sunday.. You shouldn't like them, but you do.. If anyone saw the feeder set, it was a mental pit, with most of us laughing ourself shitless sometimes..I. And remember Bullet had JUST finished playing, so some people had to make their way to LP, after getting water, beer, having a leak etc...I'm gonna fight LP UK Fans corner here... Fucking Cory Taylor was watching the set.... And he said he thought it was a goodun...

Haha, dunno if i remember you or not! I saw alot of weird things that weekend... ;)

Yeah, i was kind of taking the mick a bit there lol! My voice is only just recovering from the weekend, we can make a bit of noise to be fair. I agree with the stigma, to a lot of Metallica fans, seeing LP is like a laugh or something. To me, the crowd felt alot more intense than at MK- mostly due to the fact my feet were off the floor for 50% of the time due to the amount of people trying to get to the front.

every one has there idea of the gig and thats cool MK was a great gig so was download 2007 but i was really disapointed with LP

Sian, are you friends with Kate?!

That's sad you were disappointed with them =/ Gotta say though, everyone has to take the best live act talk with a pinch of salt. To me LP are better than Muse live in the first place, so he has no foundation for his point there  .

Agreed, DBS should have DEFINETELY been on Bohemia. It would have been better for the bigger fans in a more intimate venue, and Chester could have promoted it better. Although...if they are doing a tour here in September, that could have been already classed a promotion.

  13. I can appreciate the noise from the taper at the back of the crowd won't be the loudest, especially behind the extra speaker. At the front, where i was, the crowd noise was very very loud for most of the show. Mike said the crowd was loud if i remember. That said, DBS did kill it and left much of the crowd bemused. Some of the people we were with were about halfway to the back said everyone was enjoying the show and having a good time, if not necessarily going bat shit constantly.

Mike and Chester didn't talk too much, and the band's performance wasn't the best ever. But on the other end of the scale, James Hetfield on Metallica's day talked for ages and threw cake around for about 20 minutes. It didn't make the performance any better. And i agree with the poster above, all Trent Reznor said was 'thank you' and he put on the best show of the weekend, for me.

At the end of the day, even though this was LP's headlining day, most of the people there were Metallica fans, which probably affected not only LP but NIN as well. Everyone's there for different music- it won't be as wild as a headlining show.

This is what happened after MK- the crowd was too quiet for some fans. Who knows, maybe the Brits are getting quiet for LP  . Most of the people who were there to see them had a good time, that's all that really matters.

BTW, thanks to the taper =).
