Ah , your right! i guess it's time to panic again. So this time i'll say ' i hope LP have been listening from number 1 down already, and dont just listen to the top 5 or something on the 25th..." The whole DangerSilent saga was incredible to watch. But yeah when Mike said in the video that we'd have to promote ourselves in order to get to the top i wondered how they are gonna filter out the ones that just have votes entirely from friends. I mean perhaps thats what we were meant to do, just get as many votes as possible whether or not we've actually made a good mix! ( I think that what Alex did with the pitch of the melody is a good idea, but because all the vocals are already processed it just doesn't flow too well. I'm not bashing it at all i think it's a very clever idea, but being a perfectionist when I'm recording, i just notice you can clearly tell the vocals have been manipulated. I've listened to a few in the top ten but i cant remember the name of any specific ones, i know a few are very electronic, so i just cant see LP picking a song thats gonna sound similar to the original (After reading that French magazine's reviews

Well i relaxed a bit thinking that the contest finishes in July and the album is out September, so surely they will pick a fair few to listen to, i guess they also know that many of the top remixes will have had backing from friends etc etc. I just HOPE that they aren't just gonna pick the top ten and be done with it...

Damn it, holding on to a place in this contest is so hard! it's nerve racking every time i check! Does anyone have any ideas on where i can promote? I've tried absolutely everything i can to try and attract some people into voting but it doesn't seem good enough, i can't compete with the people who have thousands of friends voting for them!

Some self promotion here (I'm sorry) But i don't know where else to turn to seek votes! I can only describe this as a Meteora/MTM cross over with a bit of guitar work for originality. It's fast paced and loud for any of you seeking a heavy remix. Hey guys, just trying to do a bit of promotion, you've probably come across my remix at some point in the thread but just in case you haven't: Indaba Link Youtube Link The description is in the youtube vid, my aim here was just to add some raw hard rock back into an LP song, whilst still keeping the electronic elements. A kind of remake of the old LP sound with some originality with the guitar work. Would really appreciate comments you may have! Cheers, Dave
