Hmm, I discovered LPL about 2 or 3 years ago. I was a pretty new Linkin Park fan at that time and I knew not much about them, I was just listening to their music pretty much.

I was searching in a couple forums for some oldschool fans because I wanted to meet new people and go watching a couple shows with them. I talked to them via the internet and they told me a lot of things about Linkin Park, but I was searching for more. I searched a fansite who is posting news about them which I can trust. A boy who is now a very good friend of mine told me about LPL and that this site is pretty reliable about LP news and I checked the site out. I visited LPL every day until I got to know a few people from here and registered myself in the message board this year because I like the site. And I'm still checking out LPLive when I want some fresh LP news.

Well, thats the story ... not an adventure but sweet.

I want a really kick ass setlist for today!

APFMH, FTI, By Myself .. whoa, some of that would be amazing for an encore.

I mean its the last show in Germany for that year .. they need to kick our asses tonight & make some fun!

PR 2008 in Germany was awesome but I didn't liked the bands (except n.e.r.d.) xD

And we had to wait sooooo long....

I want Linkin Park at Rock am Ring next year with a kick ass setlist!

Hell yeah, make it happen rotating 1-2 songs each night from that first list would be so badass and make the DSPs that much more exciting.

I'd be amazing if they change a lot more songs! Who cares if its unrehearsed or what not .. we are there to rock & I think they too!

I mean I'd die for songs like APFMH, By Myself, Don't Stay or The Little Things ..

Its not that I want only old stuff or something, but I want a few differences that makes each show special.

I've (and a lot of others too) already been to a LP show this year & Frankfurt is coming up next week and if they would change the setlist for the last show in Germany I'd be so happy!

(& I mean the shows this year cost a lot ..)

I don't know a lot of LP fans who are that tolerant and open minded of the new direction Linkin Park are going now.

I'm always reading stuff like "oooh I loved the nu metal so much" from good friends. But she is one of that people who never did that and you can talk with her seriously about anything that depends on LP even when its not always "candy". And she is also a very good friend of mine and I would be really happy for her if she would win that, 'cause she deserves it!

(I'll never forget that Dead by Sunrise show early this year. I was only standing right in front of Chester because she kept an amazing place for me in the "first row" )

its not that hard to figure out that code and it was innocent dude, the person probably felt like i did when i had the code. i wanted to share it with the lpu members who were all worried they would sell out and had no info. i wouldnt consider that hacking, maybe a bad choice but in the moment they were just trying to help

Oh boy, LPU just fucked up with that. I'm mixed about that.

If they sold it out completly or within a minute if it goes puplic, than they should do another show that a day after, lol ... & then do that shit again. But correctly.

sometime tommrow every who preorder & is a LPU member will get an email about the nyc show & basicly answer all these ?'s & give us all the info on buying the tickets etc etc..

In all objectivity I agree kind of a bit with everyone from their point of view.

If they would REALLY do that, then its not fair.

Just look at the prices: thats ridiculous.

I mean the ticket prices are really high this year ... and I'm going to two shows.

Its so sick to read all those things.

But I think everyone here is thinking the same about LPUX.

Is it so hard to let things be like they was?

I mean LP is changing they're music style again (I think its a good thing) but why changing the LPU too?

We all from the LPU are a strong community and I have so many good memories about beeing in the LPU. And I am f*cking afraid if they are getting lost. I always read things like "I'm leaving the LPU if they do that." or "I don't pay 60 bucks for getting less than before."

You CAN'T tell us, that we will get more than we got before! We are not stupid.

I mean I think we all love LP and want to support them as much as we can, especially the hardcore fans from the LPU and those who want to join us in the LPU and this made it always special. LPU was kind of like a family. With people who enjoys the same music and have fun. And meet each other. The LPUTV videos also made it really special and we all laughed about those videos.

Is it so hard to let things be or even to develop it & trying to make it better?

I think we all know how much work it does for you. But, and its hard for me to say it, you rarely got the point when the LPU came with new things. Sure, I like the idea with the new Meet & Greets, but I've seen it a lot of times, that the same people got a M&G over and over again. And some people like me got never one. And I'm in the LPU for soon three years and went to 3 LP shows so far. This year I'll went twice maybe I'll get some. ...

But actually, and I know that a lot of people already mentioned that:

LPU is about 80% good for people who life in the US.

Because people like me (I'm from Germany) or even europe and asia have no use for that. Or for giveaways or some contests. We CAN'T use it! We have nothing from that!

You guys have always nice ideas and the people that will go to these LA and NYC shows can be really happy but people like me don't give a f*ck (sorry) about that. Its always the same. Its just like an online membership.

Its okay if you change things little by little. Its okay if the band wants to go in another new direction. But you might divide the LPU up with that.

It sounds like the new LPU has nothing to do with loyality anymore, its just a money thing. If you have the money you can pay that. If not: then you are a looser. And if you have no use for the special things that are US only: You are a looser too.

And the thing with paying 10 bucks a month is ridiculous. Getting presale tickets was always something that made the LPU special. And now everybody shall have access to that? This is just ... bad. I absolutely don't like that idea.

I mean I always loved the LPU and I still want to support LP. But dude .. I'm 15, from Germany and have no use for the 'special' things that are US only. And I can't pay 60 bucks every year only to have access to the community and to the BandMerch LPU store. And BandMerch has not even listed every country ... and the shipping costs are always a blast ...

I think we can talk about everything in a friendly way and I'm not mean and stubborn. I think we all should talk about things that the LPU can make better. And we all can change things a little bit because we all have nice and viable ideas. But please don't divide the LPU up with that ... Because it means a lot to me and other people. Just wanted to say that again.

And I apologize my English skills ... I have to practise more.

No, these memberships do not come with package items. Reading through messageboards from the last few launches of LPU, it seems a waste to put time and energy into trying to create and annual package that doesn't please everyone. Our resources are better spent making the experience better, and that's what we're doing.

 

Again, I understand why many of you are upset. But the band is confident this really will improve your experience with the LPU.

Well, than thanks to the people who are not pleased. I personally loved the LPU packages always, and its sad to hear, that you might have been working hard on this for nothing. I didn't expected that, because I thought everyone is happy like me to get those special things. Hmm.

But the only thing that is still hard for me to agree, is the point, that its really expensive. I am a 15 year old girl from Germany that's not always able to pay 60 bucks for a package that 'might' be including not more like that special offers we always got before. I mean its the triple price of the LPU packages before! Its a bit sad to hear it but sure I am happy that the new CD might be really awesome and I am really tuned for the LPUX CD, just like ATS, but does it really have to be that expensive? Just for loosing a bunch more fans and have a taller chance to get a M&G trough that? To me it sounds a bit like that.

And I am a huge LP fan and close to be 3 years in the LPU now, I know what I'm talking about.

Well, my favourite live moment happened to me in 2009, when I was on my third Linkin Park Show in Stuttgart.

We knew that we maybe had a chance to see Dead by Sunrise, but we wasn't actually sure if we would really be the first people who would ever see them live on stage.

And when Chester introduced them on the stage, we were all excited and happy. And I am sure that I will never forget this happiness. I am still proud that I had the chance to went to this awesome and HUGE show! I think that about 45.000 people went to Stuttgart on that day. Thanks LP, I will never forget that day!
