  1. Almost certain these are the Shure UHF series but cant confirm because I can't find that release date. I thought Shure discontinued their wireless systems after the L series (which this isn't) in the 90s re-entering the wireless market in mid 2000s which rules the first picture out. But again looks identical. I know 100% the 2004 pictures he is using that Shure UHF series Microphone (U2 model in MK2 freq) based on the MK2 marked under the picture (which funny enough, was posted by the LPL Twitter account that appeared in a photo.

Long story short, 99.99998% sure it is the Shure UHF Series (So a U4s or U4d receiver, U2 Mic) but the date time line messes with my head. Note, have used these mics before, they are stupidly heavy hahaha.

  2. Papercut intro caught me off guard. So boss.
PS, Looks like Brad is wearing in ear monitors now. Its either his headphones are now feeding him audio or hes wearing them underneath the headphones like rob does. I'm leaning towards his phones are the ones producing the sound. But I can confirm hes wearing a IEM belt back with wires heading down his back.

  3. Brad has Soundproof headphones. Same if you were to go to a gun range to protect your ears. He also wears ear buds inside his ears as well. All to protect his hearing. Hes the only member in the band that doesn't hear the click.

Rob on the other hand still has in-ears running the click and all, but has the headphones over the top for a little bit of sound reinforcement.

  4. Also, I thought Id give shazam a go to see if it had any extra info we might not have. All I got back was Tags Luna and Malc Rx7. According the the album field its got 7 - Luna and 4 - Malc Rx7 so maybe that will be there track listings? They also are interestedly under Joe Hahn as the artist.

Edit: Just realized this and more is covered in the White Noise thread.

  5. Poor bloke has an ear infection and everyone goes nuts.

Brad's a nice bloke. Pulled me aside back in 2010 after the show and said some very kind words which I'll keep between me and him. He's a part of Linkin Park, I wouldn't want to see him leave. There are 5 other blokes in the band too who would have their own views on sets and what should and shouldn't be in there.

Just saying. The poor bloke gets a lot of slack on this site as of late.

  6. Bleh, got it working but the connection on this stream is SHIT. Getting about 5 seconds of playback, then about 20 seconds of buffering. Repeat ad nausea.

Ditto. I cant watch it full screen in 'Baixa' aka low without it freezing.

So is Brad playing? I havent seen him once yet. Ive noticed a fair few mistakes which would explain it. There is someone standing in the shadow below Joe's riser.

  7.

Finally i record it from MTV Live HD. see that video capture and info. Maybe i can upload it

Did you get a chance to upload this bad boy?

  8. While I all believe that they are tech savvy the latency is a technical restriction of capactitive touchscreens (which are used in pretty much every smartphone and tablet). The "normal" APIs you have to program these devices have already a latency of ~300 ms. The 80 ms delay is already when used on the lowest level and without switching out the hardware itself (which is pretty much impossible on apple devices or tablets/smartphones in general) you can't lower it.

To be precise: the latency is not about the software recognizing the input as an actual input. It is the time the touchscreen needs to process the input and send it over to the operating system. I don't think that any tweaks can lower it.

TBH the latency would be that small that its barley noticed. Everything Music is going to have some latency to process the note and turn it into music. Plus, when your using these things night in night out, you get used to the latency and adjust. Kinda like getting the feel for your car. You know how fast you can go into corner without the feel of getting thrown across the car. You feel your instruments. Like for example I run my instruments due to my average ass soundcard at 500ms delay so it has time to process. When using the ipad I feel as tho there is no delay and if there is, it is barley noticeable.

Sorry for the shit example but I hope that clears it up.

  9. Just watched over the webcast. Sorry guys but I feel Rebellon isnt living up to the expectations of how I wish It was live. Chester was rough. He didn't have a great show vocally too. I think he knew it when he basically let the crowd sing all of Crawling. I think he had an off night. Didn't seem as energetic as he usually is.

Robot Boy should just be called Mike Solo v2. Either way he kills it Same with the Actual Mike solo. Its my favorite part of the set right now.

I'm so glad Mike's Guitar work on ITE lasted one or two performances. He adds so much more to the song when hes in the crowd recording with peoples phones and what not then the second guitar part does anyway. "I was told there was something to walk on over here," "Something to walk on?"

Also noticed a little more Vocal Effects then I had previously heard. Mike has a lo-fi/distored effect on his Mike during LITE and Chester has a couple on a few songs.

Also noticed that Brad isn't playing the usual guitar part during the verses of Numb. Might be wrong but I think hes playing the Numb/Encore guitar stuff up until the Chorus now.

And I know its gets alot of hate here but I really dont mind the UIG verse mash.

Bleed it out from Drum solo on is epic. Love the guitar jam they've got going.
