Longtime fan and first time LP concert. My wife came with me really just so I wasn't going alone but she ended up really enjoying herself. We were both amazed to watch Emily belt out her screams early on but then switch to nailing a ballad right after. I also can just hear some Chester fans who believe some songs (namely the powerful, emotional ballads) should be left alone but I really feel Emily does them well and honorable. No, she'll never be Chester but I think she is a perfect choice to carry on his legacy and LP's. One other observation: I really appreciated the spectrum of fans from the early 20 somethings to the 60s, from the plain jane folks like us to metalheads to people you might pigeon-hole into the 90s grunge scene. All LP fans and soaking it all in. Greedily, I would have loved to hear Casualty and IGYEIH last night but not all can be played...it was everything I was expecting so no complaints! Started at 8:55 on the dot and ended exactly at 10:55. Oh yea...the "stage flip" after the 3rd act was really appreciated!
