After seeing the clear shot of the board we can finally come to the conclusion that

the Blank spot is "Healing Foot" as it shows they only recorded drums and then scrapped it

Serpent doesn't exist. The whole time it said "Shortcut" which is Fighting Myself.

So "resolution" becomes "lost" "demo" because... There's... One... Sample.. that was.. re....used? Even tho there's a different guitar, drums, keys, effects, strings, vocals, structure... I mean, everything? LP re uses samples all the time. Sorry, this make absolutely zero sense.

It that's how we go, "into you" from dead by sunrise has a really similar bridge to lost. Maybe that's was a demo too

Edit: just heard "resolution" bridge a couple of times and that's not the same chord progression.

The vocals for Lost fits over Resolution perfectly and if you take the Wizard Song vocals and put it over Lost, it's one in the same.

Awesome! Can’t wait to hear all of these legendary demos!

By the way, since Resolution is on the meteora board in NRG, i’ve basically come to the conclusion that it’s a demo of “Lost”. Same tempo, key and chord progression and I don’t think out of 18 songs they would have brought another Lost into the studio. It’s also among 15 songs on the board which are probably the songs in the final process, which we know all of now, and I think TWS/Resolution resembles Lost to heavily to not be a demo for it. Just saying that because it was on the board, it kind of makes sense that it would be. Also the BBB sound bites video. I think the evidence is enough but it’d be good at some point to get it confirmed by Mike if we can. And of course I’ve gotta hear it first too to judge lol.

That's correct.  Resolution was the working title for Lost.

Brad mentions Resolution in the Meteora booklet when talking about Lost and it's the final version of the song.

Same person, he kept remarking that Massive sounded more raw than the rest of the demos, but now that you say that Chester isn't there, I don't even know what to believe anymore LOL. What he did confirm is that he didn't listen to any BTH demo with Chester's vocals or a demo of Don't Stay, but now seeing the situation, I don't know what to think.

What track did he mistaken hearing dont stay demo for?

  5. The 2002 mix will have all the exact same parts of the song we have now, only mixed differently. The drums, bass, guitars, etc. all the individual stems of the track will be in different volumes compared to what we have now mixed by Manny.  Gonna be interesting to compare both versions to see how Andy Wallace wanted it to sound in 2002 compared to Manny for his more modern sound.

I mean, LPU9 Faint demo? Debris? Fucking most of LPU14?

Maybe Mike didn’t feel like working on completing this track back then? He literally just explained that he JUST mixed all the stems together recently. He didn’t remember that Chesters part was actually recorded back then!

Mike said that he had to build a chorus and the bridge/ending vocals himself from parts that Chester had recorded, but were not in the latest version of the song that existed - they were just in the multitracks. "I thought all we had was a demo and me rapping verse one and verse two and that was it, but Ryan from management found a version where Chester was singing and then we found the session of that song and I went into the multitracks and found different chorus ideas. It went from a rough sketch to a finished chorus, so now we have a full song with vocals. I remember writing it and working on it but it didn't make the cut so we just stopped working on it, so now I found the sessions for it."

I originally thought this full song with vocals was finished 20 years ago, but since Mike only recently got the multitracks, he built the song and finished the chorus. That explains why it sounds so modern and why it was never released on LPU, because Mike never actually finished the full song with vocals until recently! Very interesting story about how this all came to be.

  8. Meteora is a masterpiece and the tracks that made the final cut on the album deserves its spot.  I'm just more surprised that these tracks were kept hidden for 20 years. Even when all the LPU CDs came out, none of it made the cut on those too despite featuring a bunch of unfinished instrumental demos. It seems like after the Meteora era, they committed to their new sound, so releasing those tracks would only mean going backwards in terms of their career so they wanted to just move past it. But 20 years, that is impressive to keeping finished tracks that would have definitely been hits back then under lock and key without ever getting leaked.

I wonder what the process for getting these higher qualities out was. It is definitely not like they just had the videos we had before in higher quality and they had to reupload them. The new version of Numb has a different aspect ratio and a vastly different color grading for example. Here is the exact same moment from the Numb video, and as you can see the new one is much more vibrant.

Also what's really odd and I wonder if they are already aware of that: You get the original video upload when you select 360p instead of a downsampled version of the 4k version. Which is cool, that way it is easy to compare both versions. But the original 360p upload is totally out of sync with the audio. I assume audio for all versions is used from the new version while the old video had a shorter break in the beginning or something like that (that's why the screenshots have a different timestamp).

I wasn't able to find similar differences in other versions, but they seem to use the same base version of the video file for all quality options and I was too lazy to find a good upload of the original video quality.

I noticed that too the colors in this new version are completely different than the old version. Like they had done some editing on the original film.

Everything in the old version seems more grey. . Especially in the very beginning of the video with the skyline it looks white/grey and more colors in the new version.

Manny started working w the band during LT, im not really sure if he also did ATS.

I just found out the "Lost" track we have now on Spotify is mixed by Manny.

The Andy Wallace 2002 mix is going to be released exclusively on the 3CD deluxe edition (not available on the super deluxe)

Thank you. It’s nice when people listen, and check my sources i give rather than just saying “you don’t know that for sure.” It’s NEVER a flex, I just hear music very attentively, which is why I was able to figure out Mikes Shirt having the instrumental of Lost in it, some years back. I don’t know what else to say, other than it’s going to be Healing Foot. It’s not just a wild guess when it’s highly evidential. A wild guess was saying “Resolution” is the rob drum track.

Do you know if the Mikes Shirt instrumental is an early demo instrumental or the same instrumental as the Manny Marroquin or Andy Wallace mix?

I always thought the music used in Mikes Shirt sounded like an early demo instrumental version and not the same instrumental as the finished version.

For example, Cumulus, was an early demo instrumental that isn't exactly the same as the instrumental for the finished More The Victim.
