XeroSoldier
I've just noticed a curiousity about (maybe) one of the best intros by Linkin Park. The sample played on that intro is a beautiful poem by one of the greatest poetists, Federico Garcia Lorca. The sample used is the version by the amazing Joan Baez. Here's the part that LP used: I want to sleep the dream of the apples To withdraw from the tumult of cemeteries I want to sleep the dream of that child Who wanted to cut his heart on the high seas I don't want to hear again that the dead do not lose their blood That the putrid mouth goes on asking for water But all must know that I have not died That there is a stable of gold in my lips That I am the immense shadow of my tears And here's the link from the Joan Baez version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCjVkF7r_IM Edited March 28, 2010 by XeroSoldier Quote Link to comment https://lplive.net/forums/topic/3979-curiosity-about-rock-am-ring-04-intro/ Share on other sites
ChuckCheese
Some people probably already know this, but it doesn't hurt to inform those who don't. Thanks for the link. nkramar
As ProjektCharlotte said, fairly well know - to the point that there are/were a few attempts to recreate the intro using the audio from Joan Baez's reading and Don't Stay.
