LPLStaff Posted Tuesday at 10:55 AM Posted Tuesday at 10:55 AM We are now turning the corner and approaching the final run of Linkin Park's From Zero World Tour in Europe! The band heads to Düsseldorf, Germany to the Merkur Spiel-Arena on July 1. This will be the third German show of the tour after Hannover and Berlin, and the band's final stop in Germany before they close out with two shows in Frankfurt in a week. Linkin Park has performed in Düsseldorf twice before, with shows coming in both 2008 for Minutes to Midnight and in 2015 for The Hunting Party. In 2008, the band took the unprecedented move to take Projekt Revolution to Europe for the first time, playing shows in München, Berlin, and Düsseldorf along with a headline show in Mannheim added due to additional German demand. The Minutes to Midnight era is really the first era for the band where they started getting quite big in Germany, leading to Germany now being the largest market in the world for Linkin Park. At this show in 2008, the last show before the famous Milton Keynes performance that turned into Road to Revolution, Linkin Park took a very strong setlist with No More Sorrow opening and the incredible encore of Cure for the Itch, A Place for My Head, Faint, and One Step Closer to Düsseldorf. In 2015, Linkin Park played Rock im Sektor in Düsseldorf, with a very unique opener... Fort Minor! Since Welcome had just been released, Mike played a few shows in Europe along the Linkin Park tour and this show at Rock im Sektor was a lucky one as both acts played on the same day - a true throwback to Summer Sonic 2006. With a set that featured In Stereo, It's Goin' Down, Cigarettes, and High Voltage (among others), fans were really treated to some deep cuts by Mike. Additionally, Joe Hahn was actually not at this show because he had to fly home for an emergency and his tech Warren filled in for him. This tour was the last time A Line in the Sand was performed.... until the new lineup of the band eventually picks it up. Check out the amazing High Voltage remix from 2015 which fans absolutely loved, and as you can tell... Germany knows the deep cuts. This brings up to the band's third performance in the city, now in 2025, coming off the heels of their largest headlining non-festival show ever at Wembley Stadium in London. Setlist-wise, a show that featured rotation songs Cut the Bridge, Lying From You, Casualty, Over Each Other, and A Place for My Head, there is a lot of room in Düsseldorf for additional songs. One of the coolest plot twists we've seen from the band came in London, with the Moscow Intro from New Divide actually being used for Cut the Bridge - a song that is really getting some action going in the crowd on this leg of the tour. Shout out to Milan for really blowing things up on the song! Of note, after Points of Authority was performed in Arnhem, Netherlands two shows ago, every rotation song from the first U.S. leg of the tour has now been played in Europe EXCEPT for Keys to the Kingdom. We expect the song to appear shortly in the rotation spots especially since Let You Fade is now being rotated around in the encore. Additionally, From the Inside is making a few appearances in Europe and we expect that song to show back up too. For this show today, the Merkur Spiel-Arena has posted about the roof being closed to 75% (3/4 closed) due to a heat wave in the city. Fans should take extra caution to be safe, hydrate, stay in the shade, and be careful when attending this one due to the heat. Who is seeing Linkin Park today? We're seeing a HOT one weather-wise - take it easy out there and enjoy the show. After today, the band hits Rock Werchter in Belgium this week and Open'er Festival in Poland right after. This is the only proper headline show of the week so we are expecting some fun song rotations tonight. We'll have you covered as usual - see you on socials for the show coverage and if you're going... have a great time! Quote
KeysToTheLinkinPark Posted Tuesday at 11:04 AM Posted Tuesday at 11:04 AM I will be there tonight. Luckily they closed the roof 3/4th. Let's how the show will be from close to the stage. I hope I get a different setlist compared to the one I have seen in Berlin. Perhaps From The Inside, A Place For My Head or Keys To The Kingdom. Quote
LPLStaff Posted Tuesday at 02:05 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 02:05 PM Have a great show! Taking Cut the Bridge, New Divide, Keys to the Kingdom, Good Things Go, and Let You Fade for all the rotation spots today. Quote

Cut the Bridge is no longer a rotation song; it seems that New Divide is currently in rotation with Lying From You and Points of Authority. Edited Tuesday at 02:38 PM by BartBart91 Quote

On another note: I feel very privileged so have seen LP with Chester. I am sitting around some people here and talked to some (I’m alone here) and almost everybody is seeing LP for the first time. Glad they have the chance now but a lot of people really admire me for my experience I had pre 2017. Edited Tuesday at 03:45 PM by KeysToTheLinkinPark Quote

The success of this new era is thanks to the new wave of fans, just look around like 60 or 70 percent of the audience are new young fans, they are not too attached to Chester like us thats why its easier to follow the band. And I’m not even old (26). I just have been lucky that my father liked going to concerts and went with me when I first saw LP. Remembering hearing them first in 2004/2005 (Numb) and then from 2007 (WID) and especially after 2009 (ND) I am no here lol. Tons of luck at some point. Quote

LPLStaff Posted Tuesday at 06:03 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 06:03 PM Cut the Bridge isn't in every setlist yet, right? Just a few headline shows in a row? Let's see what happens - it may become a staple. Not saying you are WRONG - just hesitant to call it a staple yet unless you think I am truly wrong. What do you think? Also of note, JPEGMAFIA canceled their appearance today at the show. Quote

I mean why playing GATS or ALITS when you have CTB? in other words: those songs are great but won’t fit in the live environment of LP. Quote

LP has a setlist that anything could be played for sure, probably thats why they prefer to skip Keys To The Kingdom, it isnt extremely complicated but its way too intense. with all those kind of simple songs they are efortless. Man I would love to see GATS, what a beast. Quote

GATS and ALITS were great live. Even more, I'll die in this hill once more, ALITS would be a great show closer Edited Tuesday at 11:49 PM by bloodbath Quote

I have seen both live and especially the extended intro for ALITS killed the vibe lol. People were doing all kinds of stuff during that Quote

Perhaps in the mid-later part of the show as a transition from ballad/slow songs to the aggressive last part of the main set of opening the encore would have been better. But that's just me Quote
Luki98 Posted Wednesday at 07:26 AM Posted Wednesday at 07:26 AM It would be cool if they played A Line In The Sand again sometime. Alex should play it well. Overall it's weird that they skip THP. Wastelands would go well with Emily's voice. Quote

Yes, LP with Chester was really great, I have already been to eight LP concerts (2007 (Hamburg), 2008, 2010, 2011 (Leipzig), 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2025) and to a Dead By Sunrise, Fort Minor and Mike Shinoda concert in Berlin. Guilty All the Same (especially Mike's rap part), A Line in the Sand, and Cut the Bridge are all three very good live songs. 10 hours ago, JZLP-Benningstrong said: LP has a setlist that anything could be played for sure, probably thats why they prefer to skip Keys To The Kingdom, it isnt extremely complicated but its way too intense. with all those kind of simple songs they are efortless.
