Grey Daze: "The Phoenix" Out Now!

Recommended Posts

Statement by Esjay Jones (Producer of The Phoenix)

"IT’S HERE ‼️‼️‼️

We started writing “The Phoenix” two years ago with the vision to fulfill the dream that @chesterbe had for @greydazeofficial : A HARD ROCK ALBUM THAT FELT LIKE A BAND 🔥

This album was a heavy lift emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. Working on completely new versions of each song and in isolation with Chesters vocals for 365 days straight was unnerving : the weight on my shoulders to give Chester, the band, his family, the girls and the fans exactly the love and respect that Chester deserved felt crippling… BUT I truly believe in my heart that we accomplished more than what we set out to achieve 🫶

Thank you @sean_dowdell @greysquirrel65 @cristindavisofficial for your unwavering trust in me.

NOW GO LISTEN TO “HOLE” featuring Lily and Lila Bennington - the girls absolutely rocked it @talinda320 😻😻😻

Album is not bad, but I'm really sad they changed Hole ... 😭

The Instagram version was absolute fire. This version sounds ... meh.

The 2018 version sounded awesome I agree. This version is inferior but still pretty good IMO. The real problem is that weird intro...

In my opinion, I think that the "lullaby intro" is an interesting yet slightly creepy twist to this new version of "Hole".

Yeah i agree that the idea was cool but i’m glad that I’m not the only one who found it slightly creepy. First time I played the song I was like “what’s that ? James Wan’s Dead Silence soundtrack?”
