Mike and Chester to perform 'Heavy' in Toronto

Recommended Posts

Mike and Chester are heading to Toronto, Canada tonight to do some promo tomorrow for the upcoming album One More Light, and it looks like they'll be doing a bit more than just some interviews.

Chester just tweeted that he "can't wait to play 'Heavy' with Mike tomorrow," indicating that the two will likely be playing an acoustic or piano version of the song during an interview. All we know now is that if there is a performance, it'll be at least 'Heavy' and just Mike and Chester. Phoenix is also flying out soon to do promo, but he's going to Germany, where Linkin Park will be performing 'Heavy' with Kiiara in a few weeks at the ECHO Awards.

Promo means interviews, and interviews - typically - mean answers. It's al but confirmed that the band will be performing some shows before they start their world tour in May, but no dates have been announced yet. What better way to announce some Canadian shows than an intimate performance? The band has played several songs in a stripped down format during the promo cycle for the record besides 'Heavy' - 'Crawling,' 'Burn It Down,' and new songs 'Talking To Myself' and 'One More Light' have all been played in this format. Maybe we even see more than one song played at these Candian promo appearances, but that seems slightly less likely.
