    - In February 1996, the band asked David Knauer to produce and record their 2nd album, so he started pre-production for it on February 18th. He brought them into his studio and recorded 1-1.5 hours worth of material on multitrack. David: "It was the band playing live. It had the songs that made it to the record, songs that didn't. And a few ideas that weren't songs yet". However, in the process of preparing for the album, the band was signed to LA's record label called Real Records and went on to do the record with different producer and engineer - Glen Parrish and Andy Barret. The album was nearly finished, but then canceled, so the band went back to David Knauer to record what became "No Sun Today". David: "Then just before we started the recoding of “No Sun Today”, on 12/13/96 I was in a bad car accident. I spent the next couple months in Los Angeles and Mike [Jones] went on to do the record".

    - 'The Down Syndrome' was so new it had no name at the time and was simply titled 'New Song'. That version of the song featured just Chester on vocals and Bobby on guitar.

     Other Notes:

    - Despite being performed live, 'Ryan's Wisdom', 'Old School', 'Commit' and 'Super Star' didn't make it to any of the band's CDs.

    - This is the only known performance of 'Old School' and 'Super Star'.

    - Judging by the tracklisting written on David's tape, it looks like the song 'Just Like Heroin (A Little Down)' was simply called 'Heroin" at the time.

At the end of the band we were drawing 1500-2000 people ourselves, but the biggest show I can remember was the Super Bowl Party in AZ with No Doubt and Bush. I think there were 15k people there or something like that".

    - According to both Mace Beyers and Sean Dowdell, this was one of the band's biggest shows ever. However, according to Grey Daze's manager Kerry Rose, the show was a total bust, because, according to him, "only about 300 people showed up".

    - The show's initial press release says: "Earth Day '96 Festival: Earth Day Arizona celebrates the 26th annual observance of Earth Day (Monday, April 22) with an environmental fair from 11:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at Desert Sky Pavilion, 2121 North 83rd Avenue. Highlights of the free event include a trash-art contest; poetry readings; and scheduled performances by MSG featuring Michael Schenker; Gilby Clarke; the Lynch Mob; and Lode. Call 254-7599".

    - The ad from April 17th, 1996 issue of Arizona Republic also states "The event features more than 20 local entertainment acts, children activities, a trash art contest, face painting, jugglers and educational booths".

I spent the next couple months in Los Angeles and Mike [Jones] went on to do the record".

    - The Linkin Park community wasn't aware of the existence of the song 'Ryan's Wisdom' until the video of the band performing it during this show surfaced online in 2015 as part of an LPLive exclusive.

    - Originally thought to be titled 'Blaze Wisdom' due to Chester's introduction of the song, it was confirmed a few days later to be 'Ryan's Wisdom'.
