    - Linkin Park did not play the Kottonmouth Kings Tour show at Syracuse, NY's Lost Horizon the day before this show due to them playing this radio show in Peoria. The discovery in March 2016 of a 2000 tour itinerary confirms that they did not play the Syracuse show, which we originally had listed here in the guide for years.

    - The Kottonmouth Kings Tour was in Providence, RI at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel this day, but Linkin Park played this radio show instead.

    - The band signed autographs at the Zia Records booth after the show.

    - Around 15.000 people attended this show, making it Linkin Park's biggest show up to that point.

    - Linkin Park received a request to record a song for a KROQ charity album on October 4. The day before this show, the band spent a day at The Loft in Nashville to record 'My December'. The song was sent over on October 10 and KROQ debuted it the next day. This is the only time that a Linkin Park song has been completely recorded outside of Los Angeles.     - The Snax ended their tour on October 21st, so Phoenix was with the band on the night of Hybrid Theory's release, as they've told the story about driving to a music store in Seattle when they got into town the night before their show there and seeing if they'd let them in to be the first ones to buy the album.

    - From the Kerrang interview in 2008, "FOUR MONTHS later, on 23 October 2000, the band found themselves in Washington State just outside Seattle. Their debut album would be released the next day and, thanks to the support of the Warner Bros radio pluggers, its songs had been riding high on the airwaves. Bassist Phoenix Farrell, who had missed the recording process after temporarily leaving the band to fulfil a commitment to his old band Tasty Snax, had rejoined.

    Parked outside a 24hr record store, waiting to go in on the stroke of midnight to buy the first copy of their new album, they started dreaming about what Hybrid Theory might sell in its first week of release.

    “I thought it would be awesome if it sold 3,000 copies,” says Farrell. “I thought that was something to build on. But Chester said he thought it would sell 8,000 copies. My gut reaction to that was panic. You’ve got to set your expectations high but you don’t want to be stupid.”"
