    I would go down the Two Faced, The Emptiness Machine route and add breakdowns and play around more with the guitars. Make them more distinctive, more interesting. I don't mean solos, but rather riffs and song structures like on The Hunting Party, but without crazy experiments into genres other than rock and metal.
