  1. Hi! This is off topic and I hope it's ok to ask, but, does anyone know anything about how Rob is doing? I know he just prefers a quite life, just wish he is well and happy. It was his birthday yesterday.
  2. Deep inside, I have high hopes that it will happen, even a bit after the actual anniversary. And I think that there are many unreleased gems, from every album actually. Because they were so good and productive all those years! The focus may not be there now but it is not about now. So, we will just have to wait and see 🙂
  3. I see your view. Though Friendly Fire was a success, too. However, it is true, many people just want Hybrid Theory and Meteora vibe. It's unfair to the band, because they are more than that. I don't mean it disrespectfully, they are top-tier albums of course, it's just that LP has always been a genre of their own, to me at least. They just reinvented themselves constantly without the need to comply to certain sounds, norms, boundaries or something. And just expressed themselves at various periods. To be honest, that is what I loved about them! I think MTM was the album that established that. And, to me, each album was a unique experience. Weren't "Leave out all the rest" and "Shadow of the day" great songs (they hit really hard now but that is another topic)? Or "The little things you give away"? Of course, we have "What I've done", "Bleed it out", "Given up", too 🙂! I guess what I am trying to say is that it would be a shame if fans only like whatever reminds them of Hybrid Theory and Meteora (again, peak albums!). Let's just wait and see if something will be released, when and what that will be 🙂
  4. Yes...I would expect many more hits from back then to be there, actually. You are right about Lost and Friendly Fire, and there will definitely be more hits from the other albums, too. I just hope they will feel well enough at some point to release them.
  5. I think the band's focus now is on the new era, tours, maybe new material. I was thinking that the band used to release albums every 2-3 years, so maybe it will coincide, I don't know. But, as I previously said, I really have hope that they will release something for MTM at least (I would hope for ATS and others but not likely so) at some point. It will definitely be a hit and the label will certainly want that. We'll just have to wait and see if we will be pleasantly surprised, it certainly isn't their main concern now. Happy New Year to all!
  6. I know, I hope I didn't put you in a difficult position. I just asked since it came up and I would love to see that content.
  7. I'm sorry, I am new to the community, don't really know you. Wow, thanks. Is there a specific link or material scattered through this or other communities?
  8. If I may, what do you mean by this: "90% of old stuff out is here because I did"?
  9. It does sound incredible! I don't think it is realistic though.
  10. I totally agree with your view. And, it is understandable that they would have such a focus actually, they are trying to move on and have to build the way to go. They don't mean any disrespect. On the other hand, we will always want material from the Chester era. It's a different thing, a different perspective. To me, it's emotional. I loved the band with Chester, they were so great, and I loved Chester both as an musician and as a human being. He was a rare combination of true and pure kindness, love, caring, humbleness, selflessness, loyalty, authenticity, compassion, respect, fun, energy, talent (he could sing anything, felt every lyric, it all came from within him, his voice so special, he conveyed the emotions straight to our hearts! He didn't just yell or scream. He was kind of a poetic soul). His laugh just brought warmth to my heart. Just a sweet soul! I am not idolising him, his actions just prove it. (Sorry about that, it is off topic but that is what I feel when speaking of him and it will forever break my heart that he couldn't be helped. But I know he is resting in peace now) I make no comparisons though, no need for it. As you said, time will tell! All the best!
  11. Merry Christmas to all! @felipeintheend You summed it up well, I think that is the notion we all have. It's a new era, a new focus, a new generation of fans, too, it's a new beginning and they just look forward to the future. So, we all just wish to be pleasantly surprised I guess. I have real hope that they will do something related to MTM, though. I think they know it will have huge success, with new fans as well. It was a milestone, and, as I see it, it was the beginning of the band saying who they are, no genre or other boundaries. Time will tell. Chester will forever be in our hearts! I wish everyone all the best!
  12. I believe there will be an MTM boxset (I would hope for the rest too ), they certainly don't think that. It's just a bit soon and the focus is not there.
  13. I actually loved every album of that era, LT, THP, OML included. Each had its own character, things to express, they experimented and matured along the way and had different things going on that were put in the albums. ATS was pure art. I would love to hear more from each. But, we already mentioned, it's a new era, different focus (for me, the Chester era is what is in my heart, my preference, but the group has also gained new generation fans and will keep going). Time will tell! Let's just see about MTM. Oh, and merry Christmas to all!
  14. Yes, you are right. Anyway, I don't think about that far ahead in the future generally. It would just be amazing to have more material from those, too.
  15. I know 🙂 (that's why I said "although they are far ahead ). I just think maybe most people are right, the focus might be on this era mainly. We'll see!
  16. I guess you are right. And maybe we shouldn't be expecting such sets of the rest of the albums (I really loved them all), although they are very far ahead. We'll see!
  17. Hi guys! Just wanted to say that LP music has always united people. We have our stories and attachments to the band. It is a model band, actually, 6 talented people, Chester, Mike, Rob, Brad, Joe, Dave (random order!) who were actual friends and loved each other gave us great music, like non other, every time reaching higher levels of awesomeness, each contributing to it! (Tbh, for me Mike is the mind of the band, such high levels of artistic intelligence, Chester was the heart, anyway, I could go on forever on this and it's not the point) This is a new time for the band, one may enjoy it or not but let's just have respect and not divide or hate All the best to you all, may God be with you 🩵 Chester forever in our hearts 🕊️
  18. Let's hope so So, we'll stay positive! They are very creative, they may do something totally new.
  19. Do you think it may be hard for them to do these anniversary boxes for albums with Chester? I mean, emotionally difficult. To go through all those memories all over again...I tear up just thinking about it. I miss him and I hadn't even met him, imagine what it must be like for them, with all they have shared with him...to go through it again. And those albums, MTM, ATS, LT, THP, OML, they carry emotional weight. If they don't do any more, I think it will be because of that. Just a thought.
  20. Hi! I try to have good faith in everything, do you think that they want us to forget about Chester? That is not possible...he was such a talented, kind, loving, funny, caring, humble, tortured soul...wanted everyone to be happy, always gave love... gifted to convey emotions, straight into our hearts. His energy, his voice, his laugh...he brightened up the world 💔. Miss him every day, to be honest, and pray for him. I agree about what you said regarding how and why they got to be this awesome band. And it is difficult to listen to the old songs sung by anyone but him. I just don't. I think they try to create new stuff so that they suit the current lineup and move on, without disrespect. I really want them to be happy and I am glad to see them smiling and creating again They deserve it. They have suffered and grieved a lot. But I, too, am attached to the old lineup. Mike mentioned Chester in the Phoenix concert, I saw a video, he means a lot to him, they were like brothers.
