Additional album information and notes ×=×=×=×=× Grey Daze – …No Sun Today Album content: All but one track from ...No Sun Today (hence the album title), and only a couple of tracks from Wake Me. The tracks chosen for this album either have reworks on Amends, or were deemed (by personal taste) better than tracks not included here. Tracks taken from Wake Me: “Morei Sky”, “She Shines”, “Shouting Out”. With songs that appeared on both Wake Me and …No Sun Today, the versions from the latter were chosen for this album. “(Keep Going)”: This is the start of the hidden track at the end of …No Sun Today, before the acoustic version of The Down Syndrome starts. The title is taken from words spoken before the acoustic. ×=×=×=×=× Grey Daze – Wake Me […No Sun Today Companion A] Album content: The remainder of Wake Me’s tracks, as well as one remaining ...No Sun Today track, “Anything, Anything”; The final 6 tracks are the Scott Crowly Sessions demos preceding. ×=×=×=×=× Grey Daze – The Endless Highway […No Sun Today Companion] Album content: All but one track of this album are live demos from the Wake Me pre-production sessions. The final track is the instrumental practice session (and only available recording I know of) of the unreleased song The Endless Highway, for which I titled this custom album. ×=×=×=×=× Xero Album title: Hybrid Theory was named for the band's name before they became Linkin Park: “Hybrid Theory”. Therefore, it makes sense to me for a hypothetical album set before HT to be named for the band's name before they were Hybrid Theory: “Xero”. Album content: All of the original Hybrid Theory EP, and again as many non-album tracks from the same era (mainly released with LPU, as well as two from the Hybrid Theory 20th Anniversary Edition), excluding songs that would later find their way onto the proper Hybrid Theory album (“High Voltage” is exempt from this exclusion, as it’s HT B-side version is totally different). “Pods” is composed of the instrumental demos “Pods 1 of 3”, “Pods 2 of 3”, and “Pods 3 of 3”. I cut out a great deal of the static in between “Part of Me” and “Ambient” (AKA “Secret”, the hidden track at the end of Hybrid Theory EP). The only available pre-Hybrid Theory demo (of a song not on Hybrid Theory) not included here is “Pictureboard” – it went instead to the companion album. ×=×=×=×=× Mix Media [Xero Companion] Album title: Named for LP's label during the Hybrid Theory demos era, mentioned on several of the songs included on “Xero”. Album content: All of the Mark Wakefield Xero demos from the 4-track cassette and HT 20th Ann. Edition, demo/alternate versions of some songs on the Xero custom album, and some demo versions of songs that would later appear on Hybrid Theory. (There wasn’t space for all Hybrid Theory demos here, and several went to the two “LP Underground” custom albums.) “Rhinestone” and “Reading My Eyes” Xero demos: Originally these two were from the Xero 4-track demo tape, but have since been replaced by their versions released on HT 20th Ann. Edition. This version of “Sad” is the leaked version with an extended intro. “Carousel”, “Part of Me”, and “Rhinestone” are from the 9-track demo disc. “Raindrops” (Crawling) is from the 8-track demo disc. “SuperXero” is from the 2-track demo disc. “Esaul” is from LPU 1.0. “The Untitled” (In the End) is from LPU 11 and HT 20th Ann. As most of the HT demos have titles different to their proper album counterparts, I decided to make the titles for the “Crawling” and “In the End” demos different as well. “Raindrops” is from the unique lyrics of this version of “Crawling”, and “The Untitled” is the title of the version of “In the End” on the HT unmastered album. ×=×=×=×=× Hybrid Theory Added tracks: “Dedicated”, “It’s Goin’ Down”, “My December”, “High Voltage” (B-side version). ×=×=×=×=× Reanimation [HT Companion A] Tracks omitted: All the “voicemail” tracks, and then also the remixes of “In the End” and “High Voltage”, because I just really don’t vibe with them. “X-Ecutioner Style” was moved to Meteora’s companion album. Tracks added: “Points of Authority (Crystal Method Remix)” (renamed all funky-like to fit the theme), “Buy Myself (Marilyn Manson Remix)”. Slightly reordered in light of added and omitted tracks. ×=×=×=×=× LP Underground [HT Companion B] The first half of this album consists of a whole bunch more Hybrid Theory demo-versions, and the latter half are demos from Reanimation. “Carousel”, “Part of Me” (atrocious quality), “SuperXero”, “Points & Authority” are from the 8-track demo disc. “Esaul” is from the 2-track demo disc. “Crawling” and “Papercut” are from the 6-track demo disc. “Plaster” is the David Kahne mix. “The Cure” is from the Hybrid Theory unmastered album. ×=×=×=×=× Meteora Added the instrumentals “Hurry”, “Rhinoceros” (I fixed the spelling error), and “A.06”. “A.06” is actually a combination of the short instrumental “A.06” and its longer version, “A-Six”. ×=×=×=×=× LP Underground II [Meteora Companion] Album content: Several collaborations between LP (or just Chester) and other artists, from this era or near enough to it (“Walking Dead” being an exception from quite a bit later, but it only really fit here), demos from Meteora, and two remaining demos from Hybrid Theory (for which there weren't space on Mix Media or the first LP Underground custom album). Both Hybrid Theory demos are from the HT 6-track demo. This version of “Faint”’s demo is the leaked version with an extended intro. I had to include “The Wizard Song” because it is delightful and makes a nice interlude track between the hip-hop collaborations and the other Chester collaborations. ×=×=×=×=× Fort Minor – The Rising Tied Tracks omitted: “Feel Like Home”, “Back Home”. Tracks added: “There They Go”, “The Hard Way” (both bonus tracks; “Be Somebody” went to the companion album). ×=×=×=×=× Fort Minor – Militia We Major [TRT Companion] Album title: Combination of the titles of the We Major mixtape and the Militia EP. Album content: Select content from both We Major and Militia, and one bonus track from The Rising Tied that didn't make it onto that custom album. Many songs from both We Major and Militia were omitted for aesthetic reasons. I also censored some of the most obscene lyrics because eww (I missed quite a few instances, though. I’ll eventually rectify that). ×=×=×=×=× Teletronics [VMA Score] Tracks 1 to 12 are from the MTV VMA Score (2005), and the “short” versions are from VMA Beats (2010, but included here because they are edits of the 2005 tracks). The “MTM Clip” tracks are from the promotional website for Minutes to Midnight. The demo for “Walking Dead” is included here as a closer. ×=×=×=×=× Minutes to Midnight Added: “Chance of Rain”, “QWERTY” , “No Roads Left”, “Basquiat” (the album had a severe lack of instrumentals compared to the other main Linkin Park custom albums). ×=×=×=×=× Projekts [MTM Companion] Album title: Title derived from Projekt Revolution, though the content bears no relation to those shows. I just needed a title, and calling a bunch of instrumental demos “projects” seemed fitting. Album content: Consists almost entirely of Meteora- and Minutes to Midnight-era instrumental demos from LPU releases, as well as two remixes also from LPU. ×=×=×=×=× mmm… Cookies – SHLJFA! –&– 8-Bit Rebellion This album is essentially a “split LP” of unusual bonus material from the Minutes to Midnight and A Thousand Suns eras: Tracks 1-6 is the EP Sweet Hamster Like Jewels From America! by Mike and Chester under the joke pseudonym “mmm… Cookies”. This was of course released as LPU 8. Tracks 7-14 are the 8-bit Linkin Park remix from the mobile game 8-Bit Rebellion. The final two tracks are demos from Minutes to Midnight with rough lyrics and non-lyrical vocals, and act as “bonus tracks” to this album. ×=×=×=×=× The Last Line Album title: Title taken from the song of the same name, included on the album. Album content: Various non-album tracks (ranging from LPU demos to non-album singles) from the Minutes to Midnight and A Thousand Suns eras. This version of “Across the Line” is the leaked version with an extended intro. ×=×=×=×=× Ammosick [TLL Companion] Album title: Title taken from that of the demo version of “The Last Line”. Album content: First half consists of instrumental demos, and the second half of remixes by ZwieR.Z.. ×=×=×=×=× Dead By Sunrise – Out of Ashes Added “Morning After” Julien-K Remix, as well as two non-Dead By Sunrise collaborations between Chester and other artists: “Riders on the Storm” (Santana & Ray Manzarek) and “Home Sweet Home” (Motley Crue); all three as “bonus tracks”. ×=×=×=×=× Dead By Sunrise – Fire [OOA Companion] The first half of this custom album consists of DBS demos, including the cover “Twenty Eyes”. The remainder of the album consists of a DBS remix, two live Julien-K songs featuring Chester, a version of a Stone Temple Pilots song featuring Chester, three live DBS songs (two of which being semi-acoustic versions), and finally as album outro a backstage acoustic that featured in a tour video. ×=×=×=×=× A Thousand Suns Added only one track: “Symphonies of Light Reprise”. ×=×=×=×=× Fallout [ATS Companion] Album title: Taken from the A Thousand Suns track. Album content: Several A Thousand Suns remixes (many again by ZwieR.Z.), several instrumentals (Stagelight demos), demo/alternate versions of “Robot Boy” and “The Catalyst”, and LP’s live cover of Adelle’s “Rolling in the Deep”. ×=×=×=×=× Living Things Added: “A Light That Never Comes”, “Issho Ni”, “Attached”, “It Goes Through”. Added “(Primo II)” to the title of “I’ll Be Gone” to reflect that it’s the remake of the older song “Primo”. ×=×=×=×=× Recharged [LT Companion] Album content: Actually only a few remixes from Recharged, but mostly remixes from the LP Association-produced Reliving Things remix album. Taken from Recharged: “Castle of Glass (M. Shinoda Remix)”, “Victimized (M. Shinoda Remix)”, “Until It Breaks (Money Mark Headphone Remix)”, “A Light That Never Comes (Rick Rubin Reboot)”. Taken from ZwieR.Z.’s You Did It To Yourself: “A Light That Never Comes”, “Burn It Down”, “Lost In the Echo”, “Skin To Bone”. ×=×=×=×=× Wastelands [Recharge Score] This album consists almost entirely of the soundtrack for the mobile game LP Recharge. The final two tracks are the 2013 track “686 x MSHINODA”, and the demo (Mall version) of “The Last Line” aka “Ammosick”. ×=×=×=×=× The Hunting Party Added: “Grudgematch”, “Animals”, “White Noise”, “Devil’s Drop”. ×=×=×=×=× Viscera [THP Companion] Another LP Association-produced remix album, with a few additions and a few omissions. Added: “Rebellion” (zwieR.Z. Remix), “Guilty All the Same” (zwieR.Z. Remix). Omitted: “Smokescreen”, “Guilty All the Same” (MKH Remix). ×=×=×=×=× Hunting of a Thousand Things This 4-volume compilation consists entirely of tracks taken from Hybrid Party of a Thousand Things. Of the 233 tracks on the compilation, 80 were deemed worthy of inclusion on this collection. I decided to compile them as their own unique custom albums. Since most of the tracks are really short (many shorter than 10 seconds), I decided to break the pattern of the previous custom albums (single or pairs of 16-track albums) and do a set of four 20-track volumes. Some good tracks were not included as they were used almost sound for sound in songs already on previous custom albums. Title: Derived from Hybrid Party of a Thousand Things, but without “Hybrid” as only one single track from the Hybrid Theory demos actually made it onto the albums. Arrangement: Volume 1 is meant to be reminiscent of old school Linkin Park and/or “arcade”-esque music, Volume 2 reminiscent of A Thousand Suns, Volume 3 of Living Things, and Volume 4 of The Hunting Party. However, most of these demos on all four volumes are from either Living Things or Stagelight, which had the most material on HPoaTT. Only a single Hybrid Theory demo made it only the albums: ”Qua” on Vol. 1. Several of the tracks were additionally edited by me: * “Invader”: Placed both versions of the demo, ”Denver” and ”Invader”, together as one track. * “Recharged”: Combined both versions of the demo, ”Recharged” and ”Recharge Theme 1” as one track. * “Jackboot”: Combined both versions of the demo, ”Jackboot” and ”Jackboot Stone Cyn” as one track. * “Fois Gras”: Combined both versions of the demo, ”Fois Gras” and ”Fois Gras 2” as one track. * “Casino”: Combined both versions of the demo (a drum track and a synth track) into one track, by playing first the drum track, then the drums overlaid with the synths, then the synths on their own. * “Insect”: Repeated the drum part of the track over the first half of the melody part of the track, and the beeping part over the second half. * “PacmannyNew”: The most thorough edit, arranged and overlaid the various sound snippest of the track into moreorless of a song. * “Megatron”: Repeated the drum part of the track over the synth part of the track, and the keyboard part over that. Note on quality: Many tracks included on these albums were very soft to begin with. Sadly, on a few of them raising the volume distorted the sound on the heavier beats. I tried a few different ways of raising the volume and ended up with the same results. Unfortunately this was the best I could do at present, but I will attempt a better quality redo eventually, provided I find a way to do so. Note on transitions between volumes: Since the four volumes altogether only amount to one hour and ten minutes, I decided to treat it sort of as one long custom album, with flowing seamless transitions between each volume. ×=×=×=×=× One More Light Added: “Consequence” (combination of the tracks “Consequence A” and “Consequence B”), “Darker Than Blood”, “Dark Crystal”, “What Are You Worth”, “Can’t Hurt Me”, “TooLeGit”. Rearranged the latter half of the album (I really needed “One More Light” to be the closer). ×=×=×=×=× Sky of a Million Stars [OML Companion] Album title: Taken from the lyrics of the song “One More Light”. Album content: Consists of additional tracks from the One More Light era, as well as tracks from the Living Things and The Hunting Party eras that could not go on anywhere else (as the companion albums for both of those albums were remix albums, and too full for the couple of remixes that made it here). So really this is a companion album for those three albums. “Good Goodbye (Demo Edit)” is a great edit by The Soldier (on YouTube) of the leaked multitrack of the demo version of “Good Goodbye”. I chose this version over the demo as is, because most of the demo is essentially identical to the album version (I did include it on ­The Alternates, though). “Beat Making Demo” was made live and released by Mike on YouTube shortly after One More Light came out (it’s essentially the first “ShinodaJam”). “Dancer” is an instrumental song from Mall OST. The remaining instrumentals and demos are from LPU releases. The Glen Orpheus remixes are from Reliving Things. The rest of the remixes are by ZwieR.Z.. ×=×=×=×=× In Honor Of… [Chester Tribute Album] Album title: Derived from Linkin Park and Friends: Celebrate Life in Honor of Chester Bennington, the name of the tribute show for Chester. Album content: Three parts: a few live recordings from the Celebrate Life concert, a bunch of non-LP Chester collaborations (including all of Stone Temple Pilots' High Rise EP), and a bunch of later-era acoustic recordings, and two zwieR.Z. acoustic remixes to end it off. Steve Aoki’s tribute remix of “One More Light” isn’t included here because the style didn’t at all match. Also included: “Hunger Strike” (Chris Cornell ft. Chester), which should’ve been on a much earlier album, but there was no available (or at least no better) spot for it; “Cross Off” (Mark Morton ft. Chester). ×=×=×=×=× Mike Shinoda – Post Traumatic Nothing added here. Moved “About You” to after “Promises I Can’t Keep”, because something as sad as “Nothing Makes Sense Anymore” does not deserve to be followed immediately by something as goofy as “About You”. Also moved “World’s On Fire” to the very end because I thought it would make a better closing track than “Can’t Hear You Now”. ×=×=×=×=× One More Day [PT Companion] Album title: Taken from the lyrics to the song “Waiting for Tomorrow”, for how it echoes “One More Light”. Album content: all vocal Mike Shinoda solo songs released since 2015 to the present (besides those on Post Traumatic standard edition, and the most recent collab song), a bunch of Post Traumatic remixes, a bunch of more recent Zwie.R.Z. remixes, and Steve Aoki’s “One More Light” tribute remix (fits much better with these songs stylistically, than it would’ve on the Chester tribute album). I added “Open Door” to this album so that there wouldn't be one single lonely “proper” song inside a bunch of albums otherwise composed entirely of instrumentals (Dropped Frames). I added “Happy Endings” here, as there hasn’t been a good slot for it on later albums. ×=×=×=×=× The Alternates Quite simply a collection of alternate versions of Linkin Park songs (and one non-LP Chester collaboration) from across their discography, which didn’t make it onto other custom albums. Regrettably the available quality of some of these alternate versions was pretty poor. ×=×=×=×=× Grey Daze – Amends I added five “bonus” tracks to this album: first three acoustic versions that were released as bonus tracks on special editions of Amends, and two fan-made remixes predating Amends. ×=×=×=×=× Mike Shinoda – ShinodaJams These volumes are composed of the tonnes of “ShinodaJams” (formerly “CoronaJams”) made by Mike live on Twitch, and made available right here on LPLive. In many cases, a particular track would have two or three different versions – in all cases I always chose only the latest version. I have only included on these volumes the demo versions of Dropped Frames tracks that are noticeably different to their official album versions. The tracks were organised moreorless chronologically: Vol. 1 contains tracks from March to April 2020. Vol. 2 contains tracks from April to June 2020. Vol. 3 contains tracks from June to July 2020. Vol. 4 contains tracks from July to August 2020. Vol. 5 contains tracks from August to October 2020. Vol. 6 contains tracks from October 2020 to January 2021. Vol. 7 contains tracks from January to May 2021. Vol. 8 contains tracks from June to September 2021. Vol. 9 contains tracks from September 2021 to February 2022. ×=×=×=×=× Mike Shinoda – Dropped Frames As with Hunting of a Thousand Things, I broke from the 16-track rule for the custom albums of Mike Shinoda’s “Dropped Frames”, and arranged each of the three volumes to have 12 tracks each. Some additional rearranging of tracks was also done, particularly so each volume would have a good closing track. Vol. 1 This volume consists of all of the true Vol. 1 but “Open Door” (which went on “Post Traumatic”’s companion album) and “Booty Down” (which is omitted entirely by popular vote of the LP Subreddit), and two tracks from Vol. 2: “Dungeon Crawler” and “Isolation Bird”. Vol. 2 This volume consists of the remainder of the true Vol. 2, and two tracks from Vol. 3: “Dust Code” and “No Delete”. I felt that “No Delete” made a way better closer than “King Paprika”. Vol. 3 This volume consists of the remainder of the true Vol. 3. I felt that “Shoreline” would make the best closer. ×=×=×=×=× Mike Shinoda – Cognition I sped up this “album” ×2 (without changing pitch), to make it more listenable. I used, not the version of “Cognition” featured on the Calm app, but the earlier “Sleep For Students” version (which lacks the white noise of the Calm version). ×=×=×=×=× Mike Shinoda – Platonic Love This very short and mellow as heck album contains all tracks from the “Platonic Love” EPs, as well as Mike’s “Score Demo” Twitch jams. The version of “Icosa” used here is the extended mix released as “A Lot of Platonic Love”. ×=×=×=×=× Mike Shinoda – Ziggurats This custom album contains the main version of the “Ziggurats” EP, as well as most of Mike’s Twitch- and NFT-related official releases. Excluded are the sample tracks, and the abruptly incomplete snippet of “One Hundredth Stream”. ×=×=×=×=× Mike Shinoda – Ziggurats: Variations Of the thousands of versions of “Ziggurats”, I managed to pick 14 wherein together all stem mix variations for the individual multitrack layers are represented. Also added to these volumes (specifically Vols. 2 and 4) are four of the 81 versions of “Decasentry”: 3 official variations, and one additional stem mix (named “Version 5”) so that all variations of the individual multitrack layers are represented. As with “Hunting of a Thousand Things”, these four volumes are designed to be listened to all together in one sitting, as the ends and beginnings of the volumes transition into each other. ×=×=×=×=× Grey Daze – The Phoenix The intro of “Saturation (Strange Love)” was cut to be the album intro track, and the intro of “Hole” was cut to be an interlude track. Added as bonus tracks to this album are the tracks from “Amends… Stripped” (aside from the acoustic of “The Syndrome”, which is on the first custom album in this collection), which are slightly different to the acoustic versions on “Amends” as bonus tracks. ×=×=×=×=× ×=×=×=×=×

I’d like to share with you all a Linkin Park project I’ve been working on for almost a decade. So there’s this crazy neurodivergent thing I do with the music of many of my favourite artists, and that is to compile comprehensive collections of customised albums that 1. contain as many of the artists’ songs (including deep cuts as deeply as I can find) as possible (while omitting only the occasional songs that are either redundant or that I don’t have space for and don’t mind sacrificing), in (mostly) approximate chronological order, 2. have fluid seamless transitions between all tracks on every album (my favourite part), and 3. extend the albums to all have an equal number of tracks (thanks to a kind of OCD), except in special cases. Often, with enough non-album songs, I compile completely new/fake albums. In the case of Linkin Park, there are enough non-album tracks that every single main LP album (as well as most of the main albums of non-LP Mike and Chester projects) has a full “companion album” (in three cases, the companion is a remix album) – I settled on 16 tracks per album, except for the special cases “Hunting of a Thousand Things”, “Dropped Frames”, “Cognition”, and “Ziggurats: Variations”. This is the oldest of my custom discographies, which I have been working on since 2014 (specifically the editing of albums – I’ve been curating an as-extensive-as-possible Linkin Park collection since long before that), adding more material at least once a year, sometimes several times a year. Very nearly the entire collective discography of Linkin Park, Chester Bennington, and Mike Shinoda is represented (including Grey Daze, Xero, Fort Minor, mmm… Cookies, Dead By Sunrise, Stone Temple Pilots w/ Chester B., Mike Shinoda solo, and collaborations with other artists), including tonnes of unreleased tracks (most of which I found here!). The arrangement of tracks and albums is subject to change as new material becomes available, or as I encounter additional unreleased old material. Tracks were not omitted lightly, but at necessity and after careful practical and aesthetic consideration – many tracks once omitted did in fact make it onto additional albums of the collection at later dates. The collection currently stands at 58 albums, comprising 942 tracks across 43 hours 34 minutes. All albums are available for listening on Vimeo (links below and throughout). I will of course not be sharing download links openly, as almost all official material is included represented here. For those interested in messaging me privately, just note that the quality is not perfect, as I have shitty hardware and limited storage capacity.
