Early entry / LPU Vs deluxe tickets.

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Trying to find an answer and so far I am not getting any so just wondering what you guys know.

I have a ticket to the o2 london date on the 24th. A standard ticket. I see on the Linkin Park website they are still selling a deluxe ticket package:

http://www.linkinpark.com/events/282433

Which includes: "Early Entry to the Venue (must arrive 30 minutes before doors to gain access)"

Last time I Went to the o2 arena, I just got there really early and waited for hours. I was happy to do that again, but seems a bit pointless if i do this and then loads of people with Early entry turn up and walk right past me.

Can I just join the LPU and get the laminate? Is that the same benefit as they Early entry that the deluxe tickets have? Or is this different? And how does it work normally?

I would have bought the deluxe ticket package if i had known this, perhaps I may even end up selling my normal ticket and getting one or finding someone with a Sunday ticket to trade with and then I will buy the deluxe and go both days! lol

You can just join and order the laminate. You won't receive the laminate in time but if you show them the order confirming that you bought works as well!

Usually the early entry and deluxe/premium stuff is at the same entrance. I was at the show yesterday where I was able to watch the whole situation for the first time. Premium gets in first (I assume Deluxe as well), then the normal LPU early entry. Both form lines that will be let into the floor.

I'd highly recommend the early entry in general even if you have a seat, you get in much earlier, you can go to the merch booth or whatever. And you don't have to get in when thousands of others so. No waiting in a huge pile of people.

I assume you already have a GA ticket and you are looking into the deluxe GA ticket right? I don't think there's really big a difference. When you are in front of the early entry line you will get a great spot, deluxe/premium makes it little easier though. But either way the whole early entry increases your chances MASSIVELY.

I think people didn't really form a line until shortly before it started. I guess it depends on where you go. It was a separate entrance next to the main entrance. I assume they started forming a proper line when the EE started and were then told them premium comes first, and while those were let in, a proper line for the rest formed.

I don't know how it is in England, and it differs from show to show, yesterday for example 2 hours before EE was easily enough. The people for the general entrance show up much much earlier.

Like I said it might be different in England (the queue country) but people don't always naturally form a line instantly, especially since no one really knew how it's going to happen and the premium people had no idea at all about their stuff.

The EE line is clearly marked and will work just fine. Only get there like an hour before doors IMO and you can find the EE spot very easily.

Easiest way to get in early? Join the LPU, print your confirmation of your order, show up in the EE line and show it to Lorenzo and bam you're in early. I recommend it like Jonas said to everyone in the LPU regardless of if you have floor or not. Merch booth is open, food/beer lines are open, etc.

Food and beer might not be open, I had the problem yesterday while they did the EE but it depends on the place too I guess but was also more than an hour away from the normal doors.

1 hour might be too short, that might be enough for amphitheaters but these are arena shows with a lot more people with GA tickets
