Skipees
I want to try to find out some more Hybrid Theory show dates and another information, and I need all the possible info. Did they mentioned shows outside of California, Arizona, and Wisconsin? Ddid they mentioned places that we didn't have in the guide, like Mike talked about roxy 1998 before we had it? Just add everything that you know. Quote Link to comment https://lplive.net/forums/topic/10032-hybrid-theorys-shows/ Share on other sites
[AndOne]
Dropped the Annex Nightclub a message on twitter, let's see if they reply. If they really got as far as Wisconsin, they could have played in any of the states on the way. Skipees
Dropped the Annex Nightclub a message on twitter, let's see if they reply.great.. i have some idea... Hybrid Theory will soon release a five song EP and will be touring the US West Coast this May. IF they tured with another band/s maybe we can find more date through them, this is why i asked before a couple of days if they were signed somewhere as Hybrid Theory (i already tried the bands from Coconut Teaszer 25.05.2000). another thing that i'm wondering about, why they stopped (as far as we know of course) with the shows in the Whiskey a Go Go? we found 3 Xero shows from the whiskey without any help, but we can't find even one of Hybrid Theory there? [AndOne]
Maybe just coincidence or they just tried to play as many places outside the sunset strip as possible since they already made it there. It doesn't seem to be hard to play the Whisky. Going on tour with other bands is not that common when you are a small band. I'd guess most of the time local bands filled in (which is a lot cheaper). Another resource might be music magazines from the LA area but that's nothing you can find online I guess. LA is a big city maybe there is some special publication that specializes in shows of new bands / label showcases. Here is a list of some of the bands that have gone through the Cobalt throughout the years: AFI, The Hippo's, Jimmy Eat World, Less Than Jake, D.I., One Side Zero, Save Ferris, Eve 6, exit only, Reel Big Fish, Incubus, Strung Out, Union 13, Linkin Park (as Hybrid Theory), and more.they remember them, maybe they have another info. Skipees
i'm trying to find more shows, but i'm reducing from what we already have : 09.06.2000 | West Hollywood, CA | Coconut Teaszer Coconut Teaszer - 8117 Sunset Blvd., Hollywood - 213-654-4773 - Return to Rock City FRI, JUNE 9 PLUNGER STRAPT FOR THE DOGS LINKIN PARK SCARE TACTIC Source this is (probably the first) Linkin Park show, not Hybrid Theory show. so like i said in the shoutbox: now we know they changed the band name between 27.05.2000 to 09.06.2000. Edit: btw, Jonas, you said in the shoutbox that it was in hybridtheory.com as Hybrid Theory show, and you are right. but since the other source it's from the same day of the show itself, there's no way that someone knew the name "Linkin Park" unless the band told him. they probably announced the show before they changed the name. Skipees
I remember the first time I saw LP live was one of their first shows at Sierra @ Tahoe in South Lake during the late 90’s. Mike (Shinoda) told me that it was one of the only shows they’ve ever played on a mountain. Probably he's talking about the 2001 show, but who knows.. Source.
