Show Notes:

- Chester joined The Doors 40th Anniversary celebration to perform a set of their songs with the surviving members of the band - Ray Manzarek & Robbie Krieger, as well as former Guns 'N Roses guitarist Slash and members of the band Satellite Party - Perry Farrell (vocals), Nuno Bettencourt (guitar), Carl Restivo (bass) and Kevin Figueiredo (drums).

- Even though the band's original drummer John Densmore participated in celebration hosting Jim Morrison's poetry reading in the bookstore called Book Soap before the show and signing music memorabilia for fans during the band's show at Whisky, he refused to perform, estranged from his former bandmates after a lawsuit over use of the group's name. Chester and Sattelite Party also participated in the poetry reading in Book Soap. The bookstore is situated just across the street from Whisky A Go Go, so after the event was finished, the party proceeded to Whisky to do the show.

- According to show attendee, the band did an impromptu acoustic jam in the dressing room, with everyone, including Chester, singing the songs by The Doors: "THAT was a once-in-a-lifetime experience to witness, and one I will NEVER forget for the rest of my life". Shirley Halperin of RollingStone.com also reported: "Before taking the stage, the guys — along with a dozen friends and family (including LINKIN PARK's Mike Shinoda, AUDIOSLAVE's Tom Morello and PUDDLE OF MUDD's Wes Scantlin) — staged a last-minute rehearsal/jam session in an upstairs dressing room. With Bennington taking the lead on "Light My Fire", Farrell guiding the sing-along through "L.A. Woman" and Slash ripping straight into THE ROLLING STONES' "Sympathy for the Devil" (on acoustic guitar no less), passersby — and even the city fire marshals who came to break up the hallway cluster-fuck — stood with mouths agape in awe". Chester likely contributed to all of the songs during the session, but we can't verify this.

- After 'Break On Through', Slash and Chester left the stage while Perry sang 'Touch Me'. Slash went home, and Chester came out to do the rest of the set. There were a few conflicting reports as to whether Chester performed with Perry during 'LA Woman' or not.

Other Notes:

- The show was sold out.

- Actor Val Kilmer, who played The Doors singer Jim Morrison in the 1991 movie "The Doors", reportedly rehearsed 'Break On Through' with the band earlier in the day to do a surprise appearance, but stormed out after learning that he would have to share the microphone with Bennington and Farrell.

- Mike Shinoda was in the audience.

- Two short videos shot from backstage exist for the first two songs and are on YouTube. There's also another video that features parts of the first two songs, but there is no recording of the last four songs.
