    - Linkin Park and Jay-Z played a 50 minute set, opening for No Doubt.

    - After 'Runaway', Mike and Chester talked about the cause for the show. The intro to 'Frgt/10' was started but Mike wanted it stopped to finish talking. Chester said, "Fuck it let's play a song", the intro was restarted and Mike replied with "We've never played this song live". Chali 2na joined them for the song for his verse, exchanged shoutouts with Mike afterwards and then Mike played a keyboard piece over the end of the song. This is the only time the band has ever played 'Frgt/10' live.

    - On the 'Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying From You' intro after Mike's verse, the band completely stopped for about 10 seconds, the lights went down and Jay-Z came out before they continued the song.

    - 'Izzo/In The End' was performed like it was at The Roxy - after the 'In The End' verse, the band stopped to let the crowd sing the rest but they just screamed, prompting Mike to laugh.

    - During 'Jigga What/Faint', Mike had problems with his in ear monitors. He stopped the show for a minute after the song and went backstage, causing Brad to perform a short guitar intro to 'Numb/Encore'.

    - Jay-Z gave Music For Relief a shoutout on the 'Numb/Encore' intro.

    - Before the last song, Chester got the crowd to say "Hi Blink!" (since Blink 182 canceled their appearance at the show) and made a joke about them.

    Debut(s):

    - This was the first performance of 'Frgt/10'.

    Other Notes:

    - This was a benefit show that Linkin Park created for Music For Relief and its efforts in southeast Asia after the 2004 tsunami. LP invited their friends in other bands to play the show.

    - The evening also featured special educational video presentations about the disaster and relief efforts including a video documentary of Chester's recent visit to Phuket, Thailand and the outlying disaster area in Asia.

    - Ozzy Osbourne was scheduled to appear, but due to a reported family emergency, he was unable to make it. Blink-182 were also supposed to perform, but dropped out with no explanation and only a couple of hours' notice.

    - Guests: Alyssa Milano, Jared Leto, Davey Havok, Rob Zombie, Richard Patrick, Jason "Wee Man" Acuña, Gavin Rossdale, B-Real, Sen Dog. Some of them performed with Camp Freddy.

    - Clips of a cell phone recording exist by JonandBT from LPFuse.

    - A video exists on LPFuse.co.uk of FRGT/10.

    - Linkin Park and Jay-Z combined their allotted set times for the show to end up with a nine song setlist between both of them.

    - Mike extended the bridge of 'In The End' to get the crowd to clap their hands in unison.

    - The band learned a Jay-Z song that was new to them, 'Public Service Announcement', for the show so that they could give Jay-Z a proper introduction to the show.

    - Jay-Z accidentally messed up 'Big Pimpin/Papercut', singing the beginning of verse two when the first chorus begins.

    Other Notes:

    - Live 8 was a group of benefit concerts on July 2, 2005 that preceded the G8 Summit in Scotland a few days later. Shows were held in London, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Philadelphia, Barrie, Chiba City, Johannesburg, and Cornwall. Linkin Park was invited by Bono from U2, who called Mike to invite LP. U2 ended up performing at the London event.

    - The Philadelphia show was originally planned to be at New York City's Central Park, but organizers were convinced to move it to Philadelphia, where Live Aid was held in 1985. Over 700,000 people were at the Philadelphia event, with some estimates of over 1,000,000 people.

    - The entire event was broadcasted live on TV worldwide and the Internet via a webcast.

    - 'In The End' and 'Numb/Encore' from this show were released on the official 'Live 8' DVD.

    - 'Somewhere I Belong', 'Breaking The Habit', 'Public Service Announcement', 'Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying From You', 'Big Pimpin'/Papercut' and 'Jigga What/Faint' from this show were released on the 'LP Underground 5.0' CD. Jay-Z's lyrical mistake on 'Big Pimpin'/Papercut' was fixed up, as mentioned before. Chester's voice was edited with effects on "Trying to bend the truth, lying my way from you" before the 1st and 3rd choruses of 'Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying From You'. It's badly mastered for an official CD and sounds distorted.

    - Mike was set to collaborate with The Roots at Live 8 but the collaboration ended up not happening.

    - This is the largest crowd the band has ever played to at one single event.
