Does anyone think that this is actually a problem?

I think that its cool when as a fan the band gives the crowd their moment to sing a part of the song, like the In The End bridge which is really iconic.

I've been watching some  shows and its absurd the number of times in which she doesnt sing her parts... its way too much.

At my show i heard some fans complaining about it, i prefer not to quote them.

In my experience it kinda kills the vibe for me to not listen to the actual performer and having a karaoke party w bad singers (which i could hear very loud because of the low volume at the show)

Whats the matter? is she trying to save energy?

She should find a way to create a balance and do her job.

Didn't get that vibe at the Hamburg show. From the other performances I've watched, she reaches the threshold of "enough" singing as far as I'm concerned.

I also would prefer if she'd sing everything, but yeah.  To be fair, there are a couple of points to take into account here

  • They play 2 hours shows, which is longer than during any of the previous cycles
  • They're doing more shows this year than they have in a very long time
  • The current setlists are leaning towards the more agressive/heavier end for LP standards (Casualty-Keys-Given Up in rotation at every single show is a pretty intense spot alone)

The above is a big toll on its own, and we know that Chester performances circa 2014-2017 were pretty strained in spots, and 2009-2012 had already been a tad bit less legendary than 2007-2008. I'd prefer Emily to be a bit too cautious with her voice, than not enough. LP songs don't go easy on vocal chords.

@Qwerty18 I dont know man I dont buy, she shares vocals with Mike and they got a lot of time to rest (the interludes, Mike solo, Joe Solo)

If she's trying to save energy Mike should have more time for himself like more solo songs (Step Up, Its going down, his FM or solo songs) that would be better.

It would be awesome to have more songs w Mike doing lead.

Recently I watched a concert from this year and I came to the conclusion that the best solution for such a hard tour would be to come back with 3 vocalists (including Mike). Preferably one who plays the guitar. In songs where the other would sing, Emily would play the guitar and vice versa. The band wouldn't need Alex then. xD

Mike said that when he was figuring out the new band lineup that he didnt know if the band should have 3 vocalists.
