i'm hangin in san francisco, mixing some songs for MTV $2bill. we let MTV2 record our show in detroit so you guys who couldn't make it to the show can have a look. the tour has been a lot of fun, and we can't wait to get out there on PROJEKT REVOLUTION, and see more of you guys. it's our first big tour following the release of the album on the 25th here in the US. check for tickets now, they're going fast...
as you can imagine, the excitement we feel right now is inexplicable. the album is going to be in stores this week. and whatever happens, please know that the most exciting thing right now is for you to hear this new stuff. we hope that in listening to it you remember the best memories you've had with our older music, and are ready to make new memories listening to our new music.
we sincerely thank all of you for coming to the shows and doing so much to support the band. we have put a ton of work into the music and art for the album, and hope you enjoy it.
[...and we can't wait to play you the new songs live--see you on projekt rev...]

117cancelledshow, Yes,Cancelled Show020304050607080910111213141516171819202122232425- The day before the show, the band issued a release saying, "At present the LINKIN PARK crew has assembled in Reading, PA to complete rehearsals and as the day progresses it is becoming apparent that the members of the band and crew that are still due to arrive are not going to make it to either the rehearsal or to the Rochester show. Rather than risk health and well being of the entourage due to the inclement weather, we've decided to move the show. LINKIN PARK regrets the inconvenience to their fans and looks forward to seeing them on July 22nd. The next show will play as scheduled at The Bryce Jordan Center in State College, PA on April 9th."
- The show was rescheduled in the middle of the Summer Sanitarium Tour on July 22, 2003 at the same venue.

317cancelledshow, Yes,Cancelled Show020304050607080910111213141516171819202122232425- The afternoon of the show, an announcement was made on the band's website and on the Projekt Revolution website reading, "Regretfully Linkin Park must postpone tonight’s Projekt Revolution show in Evansville, IN due to Chester developing a very bad throat infection. Please be sure to check back here on projektrevolution.com for further updates for the next couple of shows as we will be reevaluating Chester’s condition daily." Chester recovered after this show and the next day, a post on the websites said that the rest of the tour was on.
- A fan who was at the venue said, "Even though this concert was cancelled at the last minute (we were in the parking lot before concert time when we found out), almost everybody in the various bands (except Chester of Linkin Park, who was the reason for the cancellation, being "sick" / later heard hungover) were signing autographs behind a barricade of folding tables outside. I was able to get the autographs of Mike Shinoda & Brad Delson."
- There is an LPTV episode from 2007 that covers Projekt Revolution 2003 and it shows a M&G that was allegedly from this show. We assume that the show and date listed on the LPTV is a mistake and it is really from another show on the tour.

1717cancelledshow0Cancelled Show020304050607080910111213141516171819202122232425- This show was originally announced on the band's website and the Projekt Revolution website along with the rest of the tour. However, when it was announced that the two shows before this one were being postponed, this show disappeared without a trace from the tour itinerary. No announcement was made about it being cancelled. The announcement for the two shows before it read, "Due to a scheduling conflict with Linkin Park’s video shoot for their second Meteora single, they had to postpone two of the Projekt Revolution tour dates- ValleyCenter, KS and Council Bluffs, IA. They plan to reschedule both these tour dates this summer- so stay tuned for more information." The music video for 'Faint' was shot on this day, the 30th, in Los Angeles, so we can assume that the shoot is the reason this show was cancelled.

112cancelledshow0Cancelled Show020304050607080910111213141516171819202122232425- On June 2, 2003, an announcement on the band's website stated, "Chester Bennington, vocalist for the rock band Linkin Park was admitted to a Los Angeles area hospital last Friday afternoon after an attack of severe back and abdominal pains. Bennington remains hospitalized as doctors are still trying to determine the cause of these ailments. All touring and video shoot plans in Europe have been put on hold this month as we make sure Chester fully recovers. We wish him the best, and will keep everyone posted as to his condition."
- Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, 3 Doors Down and Steve-0 (who was still in jail) all canceled their appearances at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park 2003. Placebo was the official replacement announced on the 4th before the festival. Pinkpop switched its schedule around (after being asked by Marek Lieberberg Konzertagentur) to make Placebo be able to play Rock am Ring and Rock im Park so that their gear is there in time.
First of all I'd like to thank everyone from fans & bands to my friends, and the hospital staff who have been very supportive and understanding of my situation. I finally got out of the hospital over the weekend after 9 days, and the doctor instructed me to rest for the next 2 - 3 weeks. Right now it seems like it was some bacteria or virus that spread throughout my intestines and body, putting me in intense pain. It also would not let me eat for a week. My doctors and nurses were amazing, and very helpful during my stay.
We are working on when we will be making up the missed European headline dates, and I am really bummed we had to miss the festivals. I plan on playing our warm up show in Las Vegas on June 27th, and ripping everyone's face off this summer on SUMMER SANITARIUM. I also wanted to say I truly appreciate the tens of thousands of get-well emails I got from fans. Our fans really are the best in the world.

- The band unfortunately had to cancel their 2008 appearance at the same festival, making it the only festival they have cancelled twice on. In 2008, it was due to Brad being sick.
- In Flames replaced Linkin Park on the bill. They wore self made "LINKIN FLAMES" shirts on stage since they are fans of the band. Xzibit also canceled.
- This was going to be Linkin Park's first show in Sweden, after a Stockholm show in 2001 was canceled. The band's first show in Sweden did not come until May 2007.
