Carousel, and one and part of me appeared on the very last demo CD from February of 2000, they were part of the very last part of the process.
I guess that they had a real good chance to appear on the album.
Sorry for my music ignorance, but in the Jeff Blue book transcription, the "different" songs mentioned that drums were recorded were "And One", "Slip" and "Pictureboard". Due to those been in other level of development (live drums), wouldn't be those songs the discarded ones from HT?

Not in terms of being the best unreleased song of LP, but talking about the "rarity" of the song, I would say the "holy grail" is Ricochet (talking about studio tracks). I mean, Mike (and the band / label) were pretty upset about the leak of What Are You Worth and Mike genuinely thinks Brian Howes is directly involved with the leak, so releasing Ricochet would be giving credit to someone Mike don't want to (so, the only way to get Ricochet would be another leak, or wait if the things will clarify someday).
BTW, I remember at the time about a Reddit post and someone called Walter Daniel, which was "ripped from all the internet", which was the responsible for the leak in some manner (he had a CD with WAYW and other song from other artist). As LP management knew about this guy, this could prove the inocence of Howes? Really don't know...

Amazing job! Thanks for everyone involved in the project.
I can say for sure that I become more excited about "Echo in the Way". Since the Extended version of Making of Meteora showing in the Demo Names Board that had a "Session" version with vocals, I was anxious to hear some version with vocals. Maybe we never be able to hear the "original version", but I'm glad we have a great song as Echo in the Way to fill the void.

And maybe recording of songs we don't have (Ashes and Turn to Gray).

He said the short version of And One has a studio recording? The version LP played live?
And is it confirmed Harmonic Song is Pushing Me Away?
Actually LPLive itself confirmed all these info in the Hybrid Origins page, saying that Blue said all this (and a little more) as a side note:
-
With the info gave by Jeff Blue and the knowledgement we had from songs we didn't received, we could mount a tracklist like this:
CD1: Xero
01. Unknown (Xero Demo) - Dave Garett uploaded track
02. Deftest (Xero Demo)
03. Dreamer (Xero Demo)
04. Weight (Xero Demo)
05. Step Up (Xero Demo)
06. Carousel (Xero Demo)
07. Slip (Xero Demo)
08. Pointlism (Xero Demo)CD2: Hybrid Theory
01. Kids (Dedicated Demo)
02. Flower (She Couldn't Demo)
03. Turn to Grey (1999 Demo)
04. Ashes (1999 Demo)
05. Slip (2000 Demo)
06. Pictureboard (2000 Demo)
07. And One (2000 Demo)
08. Harmonic Song (Pushing Me Away Demo) -

Resolution?
The guy in the first video just rename it to Resolution because someone in the comments, and he didn't verified. The other 2 videos seems fanmade.

I still think is not Serpent, but still Shortcut, and is the demo name of Fighting Myself.

Just wondering, but if “Pictureboard” was the holy grail for Hybrid Theory, and “Lost” was the holy grail for Meteora, then what would be the holy grail for Minutes To Midnight?
The 17th MtM song (Mike said in a Q&A he doesn't know if the band released it (it could be The Last Line/Ammosick, for example), but he thinks that song remains unreleased.

The fact this thread has 29,000+ views and 625 replies before it's even officially announced is really... surprising in this era of the band. The hype on this is massive. More so than the Hybrid Theory box set, maybe.
Meteora was the first album I heard from LP (first in general, actually). And, as much I like HT, Meteora is my favorite album by the band and also has a lot more of content to be released than HT (I mean, a lot of internal CDs from HT sessions had leaked over the years, so we received "only" 5 brand new/unreleased demos in HT20: Dialate; Esaul w/ Mark; Pictureboard; Could Have Been and Stick N Move w/ Chester.) Of course the other tracks now are in Spotify and Apple Music, and we received an big improvement in She Couldn't quality, but we'll receive at least 14 new tracks (demos included) for Meteora 20! I can't wait for it!

My guess for the CD of #Meteora20
01. Foreword (Take 18 of 80)
02. Sick (Don't Stay Demo)
03. Pretty Birdie (Somewhere I Belong Demo)
04. Cuidado (Lying from You Demo)
05. Plaster II (Hit the Floor Demo)
06. Husky (Easier to Run Demo)
07. Faint (Original Demo)
08. Figure.09 (Original Demo)
09. Drawing (Breaking the Habit Demo)
10. Serpent (From the Inside Demo)
11. Interrogation (Nobody's Listening Demo)
12. Session (Original Demo)
13. Resolution (Numb Demo)
14. Nocturnal (Bonus Track) - AKA Take Away My Pride
15. Shifter (Bonus Track) - Rock and Roll Chester Section in Full
16. Cumulus (Vocal Take)
17. A.06 (Vocal Take)18. Rob's Song (Instrumental)
19. Nondisclosure Agreement (Cookie)
20. The Wizard Song (Cookie)
-
My theory is:
We actually know 7 demo names from songs in Meteora:
Don't Stay - Sick
Somewhere I Belong - Pretty Birdie
Lying from You - Cuidado
Faint - Faint
Figure.09 - Figure.09
Breaking the Habit - Drawing
Session - Session
5 songs remained (Hit the Floor, Easier to Run, From the Inside, Nobody's Listening and Numb).
For me, Nocturnal and Shifter are two unreleased b-sides (the rumour of Mike saying about those two in Meteora times and the Spin article mentioning both is what made my point).
According with the note from Mike in LPU 13, about Cumulus, they "tried to work on it, but it sounded too poppy". It seems a similar case to A.06: They tried to give vocals to it (maybe even has a version with vocals), but didn't worked.
So, if we exclude the 7 names we already know their respective final songs; and removing Nocturnal, Shifter and Cumulus, we have 5 demo's name left.
IMO, that 5 names (Interrogation, Resolution, Serpent, Husky and Plaster II) are the demos from the other 5 final songs from Meteora.
And, about Numb being recorded in the end of the process: according with the Meteora booklet, the song was conceived one week before they start to work on studio. So, I believe that Numb is also on that board.
To finish, again, IMO, the only "newer" songs from Meteora, with vocals and all, are Nocturnal and Shifter and, probably, one of those is "Take Away My Pride".
-
I saw the LPL tweet about the demos on the Meteora board and my hype increased again!
But, now that we know the demo's name, I think its time to know what means the "horizontal line" on the top of the board. Probably it means the "stage" of each song. (guitar recording, vocals, etc.)
Interesting that "Nocturnal" section didn't have none of those notes (X or -), but it is a potential B-Side. Maybe is a instrumental one, or the Rob song... or they worked on it after that filmage.
Another thing: above "Pretty Birdie" there's a blank section. But this section has a note (X) as every other song in the first columm. In the first time the board is showed (behind Brad recording guitar for "Lying from You"), that section doesn't have any note. My theory is that section is from "A.06", and then they scrapped it in favor of shorten it.Unfortunately Joe's hands didn't allow to see in the board the last songs progress, but I tried (in a very unprofessional way, I know) to reproduce the board with those notes. The (:) indicates a blank space (all of the songs have it - maybe is the final process).
Cumulus X X X - : : \ :
Interrogation X X X X : : \ :
Cuidado X X X - \ \ \ :
BLANK SPACE X : : : : : : :
Pretty Birdie X X X X : : \ :
Shifter X X X X : : : :

Faint X X X

Plaster II X X
Husky X X

Figure.09 X X X -
This is a great find, for sure!
And Jeff says that the song is for a soundtrack. What about if is the "BGCues NBA Inside" song that had a BMI entry years ago? It's just a assumption, but is a possibility, isn't?

There's a chance that it simply doesn't exist. I doubt Chester re-recorded over every single Xero song they made with Mark.
Yeah, I can see songs as Dialate, Fuse and Fiends being examples of it

I would love to know about Rock and Roll. Chester's part sounds as was from some demo / LP descarted song and then worked on the track, it would be awesome if true.
-
Shifter and Nocturnal (If they are actually B-Sides confirmed from Meteora)
The 17th MtM song (if we don't have It yet)
ATS scrapped songs, like Primo
Some THP B-Side, if it has one
Friendly Fire / Out of Reach
My personal choices would be "Thoughts" from Meteora sessions and "Can We Go Back", both parts (it would be nice to see a 2-part song from LP)

Well, Adam just confirmed on twitter that there is a real password when asked "is there a real password or do we have to wait". So I'm guessing that it's something really hard, and that we'll need the hints that are to be released by the day to get it. And that they just happened to make the password acceptance work later as well.
Probably a silly thought, but if we have to change the username? It has "admin" on it, but could be another name or word.

I remember "Warrior" was the working title for War. But "Warriors" gotta be something new, I guess.
Warrior actually was in a fake tracklist for THP. As I remember, we never had a confirmation about this been the demo name of War.
-
I found weird the story behind "Debris". I mean, the song has gang vocals on it. The way as Mike said, gave me the impression that we wroted the whole demo by himself.

Yeah I agree, i dont think an OML song could be the new holy grail. Not that I dont like OML but usually holy grails are old songs, from bands beginnings, especially for a band like LP where most people are HT/Meteora era die hards. Μy no1 guess for the next holy grail would be Thoughts That Take Away My Pride as well. Other possible ones could be Grecian or Be Yourself since it was always speculated not to actually just a jam. Also if one of the HT Demos we recently saw in Mike's PC doesnt get released in the 20th aniversary edition, i aslo see that as a candidate.
I thought in Friendly Fire as number one since we have more info about the track than "Thoughts" (although we have like a "snippet" of the latter, we even don't know the real name of it (I still have my guess that is "Nocturnal", but even those and Shifter names IDK if are real demo names or not lol). But yes, I would be more excited for "Thoughts" or any Meteora demo with vocals / complete than FF or other OML track (a song / track I would love to hear more about in those sessions are "Can We Go Back", since seems like a two-part song and LP never did something like this intentionally).

If Pictureboard will really be released on HT 20-Year CD Edition, I can see "Friendly Fire" being the new "holy grail" of unreleased LP songs, at least for the hardcore fans lol

Add "Grecian" in the single CD along with the live version and everyone will be happy.
Yes, the dream can go even further.
