So Waiting For The End on "Papercuts" CD contains no transition to Blackout which is happening for the first time, since the WFTE Promo CD single or the official CD single released in stores had the album version of the song.

Besides the lacks transition to Blackout, the song also contains different effects used on vocals. A different delay effect on the Papercuts version can be heard when you compare below two fragments:

    WFTE-album version
    WFTE-papercuts version

Another example with even more noticable difference is at the end when Chester sings the last word "got!":

    WFTE-album version
    WFTE-papercuts version

When you compare those fragments you will be able to hear those differences. Also, there might be something else which I'm not sure about it. I exctracted the acapella from both versions and I want you to compare and let know what you think about it. Here are two fragments of the acapella:

    WFTE (acapella)-album version
    WFTE (acapella)-papercuts version

When Chester sings "Flying at the speed of light" - it's about the last word "light" it sounds a bit different and the question is, is it sounds different because of the different effects on the vocals or it's different vocal take?

EDIT: sometimes try to listen to those fragments in the different order, it  can help to notice better the differences.

It's not a different vocal take as far as I can tell, but there's absolutely a different treatment on Chester's vocal when it comes to pitch correction on the Papercuts version. He kind of slides up into the word "light" on the original album version, on the Papercuts version the pitch jumps to the "final" note he lands on a lot more quickly.

We've got some kind of Shadow of the Day alternate mix crap going on with WFTE on this version, ladies and gentlemen. Bravo, Warner, bravo.

Jay Gordon :"With regards to this linkin park singer thing. I know nothing about any of that. People sure do love to take my words out of context. I love those guys and wish them the best. Wow I was like what in the actual f**k ? I said nothing about knowing any of that and never brought it up. I love Chester and there will never be another him ever. Strange that that dude said something to me about it not the other way around. get real dude. Not cool!"

Lol it seems like Jay Gordon realized that he messed up. What he said was pretty clear and the interviewer didn't even try to obtain info about the new singer.

In my mind he knows something and he realized that he said more than what was possible..

5 bucks says he got a call from the band's lawyers lol

Whatever Jeff, you're great, the band are a bunch of cunts. You won.

Whoever banned 'em, THANK YOU. I dunno if this dude was Jeff or just an insane meat rider but holy shit, he was obnoxious. "Everyone want Turn to Grey." I bet if you ask most Linkin Park fans, they won't know what the hell that is. Now, don't get me wrong, I do very much want to hear these things, but I simply refuse to get my hopes up because there's a much higher chance we don't get these things at all. We should just be happy with what we got. We got fucking PICTUREBOARD, man!

So FYI, this definitely wasn't Jeff. Same person has been repeatedly trying to contact him and being just as weird about it.

Quite simply, you see Brad picking the notes of the verse and playing individual strings. He is not playing a chord. But we are in the chorus right now.

Rob should be hitting the snare at this point, but he's not.

For me, this means that either two cameras are running asynchronously or something else is going on. If you want, I can send you a PM where you can see it. Of course this is not tragic in the first moment. But if this happens over the whole DVD I find it disturbing, because you think the DVD player or the DVD has an error. 🤔

This isn't any different from the way Live in Texas is edited, try and count how many times Brad's guitar changes during Somewhere I Belong, for instance. They don't always pick camera shots with regard to continuity with the audio.

Holy fuck, we are getting an another holy grail. Someone mentioned that Wizard Song sounds similar to Lost. That's why I thought that Resolution could be Lost demo.

Well, turns out it's...both. 😂 There's a bridge part in Resolution (a part we never heard in the clip of Wizard Song) that clearly ended up becoming the chorus to Lost. Not much else though, other than a couple random samples they share in common.

Kind of a Blue > Crawling or Holding Company > Lost in the Echo deal where they're basically different songs but they built the second one around a particular element from the first one.

because it literally has to be a demo of Lost lol. There’s nothing else it could be. Just likely a very early demo of it. Can’t be it’s own song because it was on the Meteora song board when the band cut down to 15 songs, which we know all of. Same key and tempo and even the lyrics in Resolution follow somewhat of the final lyrics.

At no point in the past 20 years has anyone come to the conclusion that Thoughts That Take Away My Pride and Wizard Song are the same song. Because they're not.

i've only mentioned the parts that they always ask, instead of just talking about the song bg and not getting furthur into MT20 itself.
(for example: like on the Discord Q&A... we asking about TTTAMP and etc and some other people asking which was Mike's favorite Transformer... geez)

actually that was one of my favorites parts of this interview, Don really deserve credits.
btw, i was going to ask here where he is been into.. he didn't show up for HT20 and either MT20 an he was the PRODUCER, lol.

Don was allegedly contacted about being part of HT20 and refused.

The preview sounds awesome. Interesting for the song to be in Drop D considering the year it was made

Drop D? I believe its in Drop B, just like Don´t Stay and Nobody´s Listening

    8 hours ago, HFL377 said:

It's in Drop C#, same tuning as the rest of Meteora besides Don't Stay, Somewhere I Belong, and Nobody's Listening.

It's in Drop C, the progression is D-F-C-G, the C powerchord isn't inverted, and there are no sliding noises between the chords that would indicate it's in B. Plenty of experimentation with tunings during the Meteora era, this must have just been another one that they used at some point.

Also not unprecedented, as it wouldn't have been that long after Meteora that Mike did Catharsis for the VMAs, and that was in Drop C.

So, whats interesting is I always thought of the "Thought that take away my pride" as the chorus but it seems like its either that every chorus in the song is slightly different or the part is the bridge.

Whats everyone theory on that. Just to kill the time till friday😅

It's seeming like that was a demo chorus that they ended up not using.

Funny how the people pissed at Mike are the ones that already didnt really like him at first.

Yeah, no. It takes about 30 seconds of going through his tweet replies to find LONGTIME members of the community who are vocally against this. Mike's always been my favorite member of the band, and I've stopped listening to all Linkin Park-adjacent projects for the first time in over 20 years solely because him turning into an NFT grifter has left such a bad taste in my mouth.

Is that the voice from the end of High Voltage (HT EP version)? Here's a demo of the voice for anyone curious about it:

I was looking into it and apparently Trinoids was introduced in MacinTalk 3 along with a similar voice called Zarvox:

Isn't Zarvox the same voice used on Mic?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQGNDTCRXKk

For additional comparison, here's a demo of MacOS voices:

The voice on High Voltage is some kind of vocoder effect on Mike's voice (the dry vocal is still partially audible in the mix as well). It's probably a MAM VF-11 or something similar to it.

  12. Shadow of the Day: Guitar that enters in the first chorus (absent from the previous "wrong" mix) is a different take, the tone is completely different and there are no sliding noises between the notes like there are on the original CD version. I'm not totally convinced it isn't a VST guitar sim replacing the original track. Other differences seem to be fixed.

*Edit* Haha, wow, this is 100% a re-recorded guitar part, it even plays a wrong note. On the "and the shadow of the day" lines in the choruses, it's supposed to follow the bass and go down to a G instead of going up to a D like it does on every other time through the progression, but it goes up to a D in that spot on this recording. I bet Mike re-recorded this recently because they couldn't find the original guitar track for whatever reason.

    No Roads Left: Fixed! Yay!

Across the Line: Not fixed! Boo! The synth bass line that's supposed to come in at 0:21 is still absent. As far as I can tell nothing changed on this one whatsoever.
