This has been Linkin Park the entire time.

    Hybrid Theory/Meteora - Rap Rock/Nu-Metal in the early 2000s

Minutes to Midnight - emo-tinged pop rock while bands like MCR and FOB were huge

    A Thousand Suns - electronica-infused rock music

Living Things - more electronic, dubstep elements

The Hunting Party - the only album that doesn't follow a current trend

One More Light - straight pop with a little bit of rock influence, though it did kinda feel like a pop album that hit two years too late

Don't get me wrong, I do absolutely love Linkin Park. But they've been trendchasers since the beginning. The big thing that sets LP apart from the trends they're chasing is that they usually put a unique spin on it or combine things in unique ways.

What I love about every album (except OML) is that they found a way to make it their very own sound.

3 seconds into Papercut or any other song and it sounds like themselves, they created a unique dna.

Blown away with this one, might be biased but so far, no complains, don't care if it wasn't an LP song, I dig IMH quite a bit so this was really fun. Interesting that the german verse on AO seems like complete new lyrics and not a translation, first time ever using a different language(?) Neat.

I'm 99,9% sure Mike doesn't care about the numbers and he's just having fun with those kids.

    He does

He dropped the idea of making another album because of the lack of success that the singles post PT had.

    If you think about it

There's a huge investment of money, time and planning to create these sessions.

Of course he's expecting millions of views.

Mike since 2017 is attracted to every trend. He forgot about down his own thing which was the one that made him who he is.

Here is the thing with this legendary show:

1 - MTV was there, not only them but a few others like UOL, Terra, RedeTV and BandTV.

2 - The rules during concerts like that is: You can record snippets from the first 3 songs max (some cases 30 secs of each song - first 3). So it is a waste of time trying to convince these channels to share what they have.

The MTV's team who attended to the concert recorded snippets of the first songs as I mentioned, then they got kicked from the press area and went to the crowd. The camera guy turned on his camera and taped a few more songs, 2 or 3 extras. (Without permission). They used snippets of Papercut I bet, but they couldn't 't keep it in the archives as it was recorded without permission and no licensing paper. I went to the MTV Brazil years ago and grabbed what they had.  (here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PTrlbonxDI). Thats ALL they have.

RedeTV must have some extra snippets of papercut and poa, but I wasn't able to obtain it YET.

Mark Fiore did record a few pieces as well as usual. But as far everyone knows, he didn't use to record the whole thing. (until 2012). I have talk to the event producer and he also doesn't have a copy and don't recall anyone recording it fully. Potentialy the band took the screen copy.

The band tried to look for this show as part of the Meteora20 release but they weren't able to locate it... So they don't even know if it really exists or not, but it is not in their archives. IF anyone else like Warner or whatever have a copy, it is not the band. Maybe it is lost in their HDD? Yes, but we will never know unless they find it.

The FULL show exists in AUDIO, a guy recorded it but he is a dickhead and I doubt he will ever trade/share/sell it.

Thats all about the show. It could be released someday, if it really exists, but for now, none can't confirm, including the band.

    End.

Wow very interesting info! so it seems highliy unlikely that the full show will be out according to what you said

probably it doesnt even exists damn..  i just checked out the track that its out from the AUD source it sounds like good quality thats probably the only thing that will ever come out

i guess that the taper asks for a lot of money.

Yeah their story is very weird. They recently claimed they never had the masters. Well what did they use to create and upload the video files in 2009 with? lol. Surely the full show exists somewhere in their possession. Would love to see the rest.

They claim that they created a SD DVD copy of the master, which is everything that they had.

I guess that if they had the full master of the show they could have sold it to the LP team for M20.

So I still believe that they are lost.

  5. It seems that they changed the story? when they uploaded BTH 10 days ago they said that the band team requested the HD footage to be deleted, now they say that:

'' The high quality HD masters of the entire Smoke Out event were taken from the site at the end of the night by the production producers. ''

So there's still a chance that someday this show will come out

It would be nice to see some other songs played in these sessions besides Already Over, but the point is the Already Over Sessions.

What could solve this is... some...live...concerts....

99 versions but another song ain't one.

  7. just watching right now

the sound quality of this session is fantastic.. Mike needs to go back on tour, he could take the best of the guys from the sessiosn and create an amazing band.

the black girl voice is like freaking annoying, probably she could only sound good as a backup singer.

    I hate this so much

The concept, the website, the price - people are seriously paying US$200 for a fucking JPEG with AI audio - it’s all just shit

Is this the actual price if you want to obtain every song?

Sounds pretty real can hear Chester's background vocals more, but what if this is the same case as Hands Held High? We never got the multitrack for that so we probably never will for this until they leak if not ever

That Acapella actually it's 10x better than the actual song, beautiful and haunting.

Yeah it’s almost borderline between ATS and THP, it anticipates what was to come

It's a mix of Blackout, A06 demo, Fine Victimized, NRL but still it sounds like its own thing.

It's probably the only LP song that has a Industrial vs Nu Metal sound

The other track that has some of that is By Myself Manson Remix but LP didn't work on that.

It's big shame LP did not finish Massive. That would be very big song if it was finished back then. I was just listening Deftones - Prince and that guitar riff sounds very similar to Massive. If you want to hear Massive's HQ guitars then listen to Prince by Deftones. I love it so much. Big song.

One of the most unique songs, i guess that it sounds way too complex for Meteora sound.

Would have been a great album closer.
