I'd never had the LP guys for greedy persons (which is very different from stand your ground when necessary), I'm glad they could put an ending to all of this in amicable terms.

It was never the band, Warner did some dirty things in the past.. they didn't let Chester do a reunion show w Grey Daze for a Fundraiser back in 2002, the lack of promotion for DBS and not letting Chester do a proper tour, throwing SOB like garbage and stopping the release of their album.

I guess that since C passed away they just want to keep the band away from any controversy, they basically paid for the silence of Kyle.

In a sense, I feel for Jay getting his ass beat over this because if it IS true, then he leaked enormous news about a band he's ostensibly close with and that feels bad, and if it ISN'T true then he either got too loose with speculation or heard something that he believed that was either misconstrued or not true at all. Tough spot to be in when nothing will get past people in interviews like this.

That said, the way he's backpedaled by being like "I NEVER said that" despite there being VIDEO EVIDENCE of him saying precisely what he said, and then attempting to blame everyone under the sun for "blowing it up" when he offered this information with no prompting whatsoever is ridiculous. Take the L and shut the fuck up, dude. If LP's lawyers have a gun to your head it's your own fault for being a loose-lipped moron.

I have no feelings either way about the actual rumor and I won't unless/until it it officially announced. I DO think it will go over extremely poorly literally no matter who the singer is among a significant portion of the fanbase, 1. because anyone who's not Chester is not Chester and therefore worthless in their eyes and 2. because woman. I think it would be a bold, fascinating move. It could also be extremely bad. Or this could all have been a waste of time. We'll see!

''But she caught me on the counter (It wasn't me)
Saw me bangin' on the sofa (It wasn't me)
I even had her in the shower (It wasn't me)'' -Jay Gordon

It might be included in the YouTube Afterparty. Let's see. :) Hope the live version is included somehow in the QWERTY celebration.

Looks like the same one we have, according to Martinez.

It really might go #1 anyway, Friendly Fire is #1. And QWERTY is really just a glorified demo.

    Glorifed demo hahaha, fantastic description!

  8. via Facebook / / Jay Gordon (Statement 2): ''I wish them nothing but the best since such a terrible & tragic loss. He was a friend. Such a legendary guy in so many ways. Still bummed about it. These are my own words. Not some bs hype story to get people to engage. I would never speak on another band’s behalf. They communicate just fine on their own. If something like that happens I would hope THEY would be the ones to drop the news. I sure as hell wouldn’t do that to them or anyone. Click conjuring has never been my strong suit so don’t take my words outta context ever again bro.''

Rockfeed used LPLive as a source! really cool!

I do not rule out the possibility that the female singer will perform only new material. Except for a few LP songs. It is also possible that they will perform under a new name.

LP is a really old band that needs to play their greatest hits at every show.. there are atleast 15 songs that must be part of their setlist.

There are a lot of women who can take the role of lead singer.

Someone like the girl from Spiritbox is the best shot, im not saying that it should be her its just someone who can do agressive, melodic singing and also the ability to scream which is something like Amy Lee cant do.

  9. Jay Gordon :"With regards to this linkin park singer thing. I know nothing about any of that. People sure do love to take my words out of context. I love those guys and wish them the best. Wow I was like what in the actual f**k ? I said nothing about knowing any of that and never brought it up. I love Chester and there will never be another him ever. Strange that that dude said something to me about it not the other way around. get real dude. Not cool!"

Lol it seems like Jay Gordon realized that he messed up. What he said was pretty clear and the interviewer didn't even try to obtain info about the new singer.

In my mind he knows something and he realized that he said more than what was possible..

i bet he heard someone talking about Mike's Already Over Sessions and got all mixed up.

The problem is that Jay Gordon  is someone who has been part of the music business since the 90s and has worked on some projects with the Linkin Park and I guess that he is or was close with the band members, specially Chester... also he seemed super serious on the video.

  11. When a guy like Jay Gordon says that he has heard rumours about LPs new vocalist this must be TRUE, he has a long career, even longer than LP.

-The band is doing auditions right now?

-5 piece band is discarded? (Mike has even said that there are some songs like OSC that would be impossible to perform)

If they want to move on with a female singer it should be someone who can do almost EVERYTHING, screaming is a must.

Someone like the girl from Spiritbox would be great or the girl who did APFMH w Mike.. i cant remember her name.

  12. What Did Jay Gordon Say About Linkin Park?

Gordon was speaking with KCAL 96.7's RadioActive Mike Z. for his Wired in the Empire weekend radio show as the pair were reminiscing about the singer's history with Linkin Park. Orgy took Linkin Park on their first tour and Gordon later remixed "Pts.OF.Athrty" for the band's Reanimation remix album.

In an interview with Wired In The Empire, Orgy frontman Jay Gordon made a comment about Linkin Park having a new vocalist.

"Very, very cool guys and obviously a great band. They've been around a long time and they're still going for it," said Gordon as captured by Loudwire. "It’s going to be tough without Chester [Bennington], but we'll see. I hear they got a girl singer now. That's what I heard.”

Gordon then walked back his comment, saying: "Don't quote me on that. I'm not sure who the singer is going to be, but I heard it was gonna be female. They might just try to move on like that. That ought to be interesting."

    8:30 MIN

Which is definitely a weird comment to make if there weren't rumblings of a Linkin Park return. Especially when Gordon was pressed by host RadioActive Mike Z. about his "I hear they got a girl singer now" – dude didn't just retract the whole thing and move on.

  13. The instrumentals + acappelas are a really weird situation with LP... they released the ones from the least popular albums and the ones that people needed remain unreleased.

specially the ones from HT and Meteora were the most needed... back then there was a huge remix community that needed those albums so bad.

I think ATS20 will blow our mind, they could have so many unreleased stuff we don't even know. Like, I bet there are at least a couple of finished songs we never heard and alternative versions of album songs like Robot Boy with almost entirely different lyrics we got on LPU

MTM is where the real stuff is at man!

theres going to be some other heavy songs that were abandoned, tons of amazing demos.

I honestly think it was a missed opportunity for Linkin Park to not make a Meteora Pop Funko to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Meteora last year. Then again, I remembered hearing something about the figures not being able to be in a kneeled position, though I swear I have seen some Pop Funkos in kneeled positions before (unless I'm just misremembering about the part that I have seen some in kneeled positions before).

OML live is what a live of OML should be, they cut some hits and that is weird but I love that they had the balls to put out a live album with 90% songs off that record

I wasnt talking about the album OML Live. I was talking about a possible new tour with Mike singing a lot of OML tracks, its going to be boring.
