  1. Received 1 set of replacements today! Two DVDs, Mikes litho and the laminate. While the first three items are an upgrade, the litho still looks bad in my opinion...but I won't brag about it longer than this sentence haha

Today I found one more light vinyl reissue, it looks like all records will be released again

A photo would be appreciated! And the # number on spine too  (if it's somehow different from the UPC which isn't for the all reissues so far)

i'm sure this is misunderstanding situation. 😅 not meant to be sassy or attitude. i'm really asking for help. I'm sorry if you think that way. maybe the way you read my posts makes you think that way. thanks a lot for the example. really appreciate it. gonna use that template/format.

thanks a lot man. :D  sometimes when we chat online, we didnt know the exact intonation of someone. it can be mad/happy with the same words. thank youu for you explanation. i'm in the same boat as your friend. clueless. haha. will send out an email later. :)

Alrighty, could have misunderstood. Send that email, sooner the better because it seems like warner won't send them this month (and sadly not in december but we'll see)

Well, I don't think @Stranger was acting sassy or having an attitude.

He was genuinely asking for help and a lot of people thought the same things.

All my friends who bought the box set asked me the same questions, "What did you write? Anything specific? Do I need to write what's wrong? Do they ask for a confirmation of the order?"
When I said like, "I sent just a generic e-mail and they later asked me for my address" everyone thought: "Oh, so they really send everything without asking for anything?"

It doesn't mean they wanted to take advantage of Warner, it's just a legitimate thought.

I also wondered the same thing, actually, I was sure they would have asked for a receipt or the order number, at least.
No problem for that, of course, I bought my box set.

The tweet didn't give any tips, so it's understandable that people want to be sure before sending anything, to not miss the opportunity of getting the replacements.

Imagine missing it because there was something you needed to do but you didn't, how could you know it?

Anyway, I got all my three answers before all of my friends who sent their e-mails hours or days after me, so I guess the answer also depends from that, not sure tho.
But that's just to reassure who still hasn't received anything.

When you'll get some updates, let us know, we're in the same boat!

My thoughts were based on Strangers "jumping into photos/invoice" sentence thus I said about people taking advantage. Nothing to be debated on futher I think. Also I gave him the exact email I have sent thus my question what else does he need. If you guys want I can send a screenshot it really did the thing haha or maybe all answers from warner are automated? Nevermind, of course I'll update you all if i hear back!

  5. 1 hour ago, Stranger said:

not my problem either. :)  just wondering what's the words should i use for the email. cant simple jump into the email with the photos/invoice or etc. it's okay. i only ask in here for assists cuz this is the first time bought from LP store. but seems like there's none. no worries.

I gave you the exact email I've sent and it's done deal. What else do you want? Someone to send it for you or what? Don't you sass young man :)

Also I was poining out people who I assume will try to get some free stuff, not you in particular so don't know why the attitude towards me? Photos/invoice is because I have purchased two boxsets so I thought "jumping into photo/email" would be fair and square in the terms of getting a replacement (again, I see no problem there, I see you might have some, even though you said you don't, because simply you've questioned the idea two times now so i don't know haha) When they replaced RTR vinyls they asked for some photos thus I also thought about it this time. Any other explanation you might need?

    Dear customer service,

My name is Stranger and I'm xx years old. I have been a fan of Linking Park for xx years in a row. I have purchased/not yet purchased (received/not yet received) the HT 20th anniversary boxset, and I also have seen your tweet mentioning some errors I might encounter after opening the box. While I am not aware how all the things down at your company work, I would politely ask for a replacement you are offering. Please consider my email a very, very kind question because I do not want to sound rude or something.

    Sincerely, Stranger

I believe this sums up sending an polite email and not jumping into photos/invoices. Please fill in the xx with accurate year count. you're welcome :)

thanks a lot man! :D wondering if you guys did a proper wording/sentences. they might ask a lot. since everyone can claim they buy it at the first place.

So? I have no problem providing an invoice and/or photos of items I actually own. If someone wants to trick warner into shipping free stuff it's their problem, not mine to be honest :)

hey guys. need some help. i just received my boxset and yeah, it's EU version. faulty on those items. just want to know, how to write an email to them regarding this issues?

    can someone guide me? thanks!

Please send a set of replacement items (if needed I can provide a photo/invoice as proof of purchase) to my address:

    your address here

    Regards, Stranger

  8. Got a reply yesterday, straight from the pressing company though!

    Dear customer,

The replacement of the faulty components will be sent out as soon as possible and should be with you in the near future.

    Apologises again for the inconveniences.

Kind regards and enjoy the music.

    WMG Customer Serviceteam @ optimal

Best part is the "near future" haha

  9. Can confirm that Reanimation reissue comes with what most of the times is digipack booklet however, this is new print! (check the catalog number on the inside page) And on chalk paper too. I assume someone screwed up during edit and instead of adding regular cover he added the one from the digipack booklet as 1st page. No other explanation..

Ok so the toolkit is on the cd! No info about it on the back though...

For those who don't know, last year Warner Bros. Records was rebranded as "Warner Records" after WMG's license to the "Warner Bros." name and shield logo expired (more about it here). Now LPCatalog reports Linkin Park's albums have been reissued under the new label name with the new logo. The current list of known reissues is:

    • Hybrid Theory (CD, Vinyl)
    • Reanimation (CD)
    • Meteora (CD, Vinyl)
    • Minutes To Midnight (CD, Vinyl)
    • Road To Revolution (CD/DVD)
    • Living Things (CD, Vinyl)
    • The Hunting Party (CD)
    • One More Light (CD)
    • One More Light Live (CD)

    Changes from previous releases:

    • New Warner Records logo.
    • New catalog number.
    • Warner website address has changed from "warnerbrosrecords.com" to "warnerrecords.com".
    • Label Code "LC 00392" has been removed from the credits.

Additionally, the new issue of Reanimation comes with the digipak booklet in a jewel case packaging. This seems to be a mistake by the label.

Reanimation is on it's way to me so I'll make sure to open it and check everything. As for the other releases, I'll try to get at least MTM Also it looks like there is no enhanced content on the CD which is probably due the website toolkit not available anymore.

    how about A Thousand Suns?

Like said on the main post, at the moment we have the info for all of the above, I haven't seen ATS anywhere as of november 07. BUT it should be out with a new logo too, I'm 100% certain.

For anyone who has the new vinyl from HT20 - has anyone else noticed that the Hybrid Theory vinyl sounds like total garbage compared to the HTEP and Reanimation? It sounds like the mix is too "hot", like there is a lot of clipping in the vocals, drums and guitar. I also noticed on the inner ring of the vinyl that there is a "!" etched onto it. This is often a symbol used in the mixing and mastering process to indicate that a mix is too hot and should be reduced to -6dB before mastering. Are these two things possibly related?

I am also curious if anyone with an OG print of Hybrid Theory can weigh in and let me know if that vinyl sounds bad as well.

Can you send me a photo of the "!" please? I'll pass it to Warner with a question.

  12. 1. Be patient, we all are waiting for a reply from the label

    2. Yest they know and yes they have seen every single error/issue/damage along with a decription and photos so they ARE aware what's going on. I'm talkign about the core management responsible for the HT20 release, not local folks who have no idea and are just sending copy-paste answers "you have the right to refund/exchange". So really no point of asking detailed questions because other than a refund (after you send them your box) I believe there is nothing they can do at the moment - again I'm talking about local people working at warner/or stores you have purchased the box in.

I just hope this doesn't become a mess since you could buy the box set "anywhere". I remember I had a record that was faulty and then it was like "you didn't buy straight from the label so there is nothing I can do"

Not a chance they'd do that! I purchased RTR copies at locat polish store and there was no problem getting a replacement.

I totally agree with you here. Reality is different though. Probably not the best comparison, but in software development it is totally normal that you ignore bugs that just get a low amount of reports. If all clients complain you typically throw all your resources at it and you make sure to fix it as soon as possible.

At the end Warner is a business and I wouldn't be surprised if it comes down to a calculation of "how many people do we piss off to safe money", in which case the number of reports would make a difference (I am exaggerating here, I am sure most people there, like Adam for example, care about a delivering a high quality product without compromises).

Again, they replaced RTR and it was just an issue with censored tracks that should not have been censored! We have an issue here with two songs but the switched dvd's are much worse problem at the moment and I believe they will send replacements. We just have to wait.

  14. 4 minutes ago, Coizu said:

I don't doubt that they don't know. There is a difference if 10 people or 200 people complain about a problem though.

Also I am not saying that anyone should bitch around. It is totally possible to complain about the situation in a friendly way which should be the default anyway.

IMHO doesn't matter if it's 10 or 200 people wit hthe faulty item. They surely should do something about it because this isn't $20 but $200!! Not to mention it's 20th anniversary dammit!!! Don;t get me wrong, maybe I misread what you meant. Of course we can talk about the issues like you said, in a polite manner but again, imho we shouldn't spam them.

As I remember correctly, the Road To Revolution censored records issue was handled very proffesionally and as simple as they could handle such situation. However, people received a regular black issue, instead of splattered but this is still fine I'd say. MAYBE this thing could be handled in the same way? Send a proof of purchase and/or photos and you're done. Wait some time and receive a replacement items. Case closed. We will see!

  15. 5 minutes ago, Coizu said:

I would argue that everyone who is unsatisfied with the problems should contact them instead of relying on information from other people.

The more people make it clear that they are unhappy with the situation the higher the chances that they will do something.

Just believe me they know, can't say more  at this time but it would be better to just wait and see what can be done instead of bitching and escalating the anger further. They know and just let them decide what to do next. I don't think they will ignore this because at least switched DVDs are a big issue in such release.

And before anyone asks, I got two copies (one for collection and one for scans and play) and I have the same exact problem you all have.

I was about to say lol. Funny how you think they were going to do a live Q&A when:

    a) Mike did them for months before STOPPING them bc people asked so many insensitive/stupid questions

    b) Even during the pandemic we managed to get FOUR of em together, the task of getting them together for a Q&A in one place at one time I’m sure takes a lot scheduling. They didn’t HAVE to do this, especially since the DVD pretty much comes out the same day.

though i have to say “soy cuck move” is a new favorite line

    a) Not every fan watches Mike's streams. Also Mike isn't the band. People want to see the band live, even for something simple as q&a

    b) Again, they're doing nothing at this time (touring? new album?) and believe me, I laughed hard when i read "getting the band together takes a lot of scheduling" You serious? Don't get me wrong but this is really funny to say about millionaires that can't afford (time and decent internet) to host a LIVE event.

Also "they didn't have to do this" do what? Record a video and stream a show which is on the dvd while MAKING money out of it? Of course they didn't but this is easy money XD

  17. 19 minutes ago, Astat said:

Live Q&A's online are a terrible idea lol. Look at what a shitshow Mike's livestream chat turned into, that's why he mostly stopped taking questions.

Remember Paparoach anniversary stream? I expected something like this (with answers on questions they asked for earlier - which i had no idea about too) This could be done easily, also talking about weak internet? Really? A multi-million band with such label and no internet connection to host such event? I call this bullshit.
