Isn't that the song Owen Pallett from Arcade Fire played on? I don't hear strings in IBG anyway, or at least they don't stick out to me. Primo as a song is much better.

I think this is the last USA tour for The Hunting Party.
-
AXS TV said they'd be on site all weekend and broadcasting the whole event. I don't know if that means LP specifically but it probably does.
-
The only big market they are hitting on the tour is Brooklyn but no band would logically tour the USA and skip the NYC area. For whatever reason that's just something you don't do. But there are a good bit of shows CLOSE to big markets - an hour or so away. Orlando is super close to Tampa, Providence is close to Boston, Hershey is under 2 hours from Philly and is between Pittsburgh and Philly (even though they're playing Pittsburgh too), Atlantic City is 90 mins from Philly, etc. Some of them are in the absolute middle of nowhere. I'd put Nashville and Brooklyn on an A city tour and the rest seem to be legit B cities. Regardless I am excited for the tour, as always. I hope they change the set up a good bit but since they haven't even started rehearsing yet I guess they won't change anything, or maybe just add 1 new song like ALITS.
-
Yeah definitely add it. I am impressed with all of this new information!

I think that is only because it was the first album released in like 10 years by STP. It's probably in a different class of STP jams in Chester's mind/the band's mind. I think a lot of that album was recorded separately, like the band finished the music then sent it to Scott for vocals. I don't think they LOVED that album. Correct me if I'm wrong by all means but that is the overall impression that I got by that album. I saw some negative stuff said by Robert and Dean regarding that CD. I would love to see Between The Lines sung by Chester but I don't think it will happen, and that's fine with me.

Sorry guys, oversight on my part for the title. I understand completely. Nevertheless, this is a cool thing to release. Thanks again LPC.

Updated. Thanks.

Thanks for the heads up. What's that performance on Ryan's Facebook page of California Noir? Was it the performance at the college?
-
I can't see anything on the picture. The rumored date for May was fake?
-
I just put the songs on the show page for a placeholder. It's the same broadcast. That's what was originally reported but of course we now know that that list of songs is incorrect. We need to update it.

I disagree. I think they chose these for a "weaker" LPU CD (aka no full b-sides/completed songs) because of how much other stuff came out this year. I think that's a pretty good theory. The album was released and we also got Mall. LPU13 had Primo, etc. The band has a ton of stuff lying around. You don't think they have more Pretty Birdy-esque stuff from Meteora? Sitting on their last handful of demos? Surely they have 100 files+ of just stuff from ATS. Messenger with the choir, a million WTCFM demos, etc. I don't think they are running out at all. Let's see the next LPU CD before we jump to any conclusions. I highly doubt everything else is "seed stage" stuff. There are other full demos like Primo that exist, surely. Look at all of the stuff on LPU9 - demos of completed songs. We don't have a ton of that stuff....I bet they have quite a lot sitting around.
-
Aaaaaaaaaaand then they edit them out of the LPU demos.

There's no track commentary? Well fuck. Jesus.
-
I disagree completely. The Rock am Ring performance is fantastic. They need to play the full long intro and the full song. There's zero sense in dropping the lead single from the album on the second ever tour it was played on. Ridiculous. I couldn't even enjoy the song on Carnivores due to them shortening it and including it in a DISASTROUS encore with a striptease version of Crawling sped up to sound like a mouse is singing it, a joke of New Divide where Chester lets the crowd sing a substantial portion of it, and a Lost In The Echo that is about 17.2 seconds long. I would be completely fine with an encore of: Until It's Gone (w/ Long Intro) Lost In The Echo (2012 Intro) A Place For My Head What I've Done Bleed It Out Get rid of New Divide, Crawling, and all the other crap in the sets.

Linkin Park to Headline Milwaukee Summerfest on June 30

Rock On The Range now! But you never know. I will see -
DirecTV HD DVR HR24-100 I like the idea of sending something my way but let's see if we can get it without the monetary cost first. Surely it's possible to transfer the recording. Sorry guys, I don't have much time today or tomorrow to work on this. Sunday I will be back at it again. Keep posting recommendations, etc though
-
The first thing you mentioned doesn't work. USB is plugged in but no way to transfer it. However I do have a smart TV in another room (not the room with the DVR that recorded the episode). I'll try to access it on that TV (even if I have to move the DVR) and see what I can do. The Smart TV is a Vizio and lets you access content already on the USB but there doesn't seem to be a way to record TO it. Damn. I wonder if there is a way to use HDMI to get the feed from the receiver to show on a computer and record it that way.
-
I replied to your PM. Ok I recorded the whole 1.5 hour broadcast this morning on the DVR. Just watched it and it's great. Now I will try the USB thing you mentioned to try and get it off. Hmm.

I'd like to get Jonas's recording from Charlotte to analyze. I am the one that added that and I was 99% sure in Charlotte it was shortened. However, the LOUD sound of a live show can definitely make you think wrong sometimes. Thanks for the heads up on this. This is something we need to take a look at because some stuff changed after Set B debuted...they tweaked with it the next 3-4 Set B shows (specifically the trainwreck that was DOYS/LFY, and then the With You intro).
-
I will ask Brad in Orlando if you guys remind me....Astat text me a few days beforehand and I'll do it at the M&G. That's an easy way to get the answer because no one talks to Brad at the M&Gs anyway lol

2014.11.19 - Berlin, Germany (Live DVD + Broadcast)
hahninator replied to RogueSoul's topic in Previous Show Discussion
Thanks - these pictures are great and we'll add them to the show page. Still wanting to do a broadcast of the show. It sucks that we never got a version of the full show with good audio....the audio is messed up for the first 5 minutes. -
We will never get that footage sadly.
-
Oh of course - you don't have to thank me at all. So what is the best program to record it with? Screen capturing program. I tried one or two but they had like 10-12 minute limits on it. What is guaranteed is that we can get a good quality (NOT HD though) .avi of the full broadcast (meaning full audio too ripped from that) from my Internet Explorer stream of it. While you and Jonas are both trying to watch it, it seems to buffer badly/have glitches for non-USA users and that's a problem. I can definitely get it ripped in .avi quality so we at least have that, if someone recommends a really good program. I also am able to 100% get the full thing recorded tomorrow on my DirecTV DVR. The big problem (and I mean BIG) is that it seems extremely difficult to get it off of the DVR and to a hard drive. At the very least, the DVR will host the HD recording of the show (so we know it exists) until we can figure out how to get it off. And like you mentioned above, that LPA user, a guy on the LPLive Facebook, and our friend Natasha all also recorded it to their DVR. We can begin working on how to get it off and to a hard drive once we get the stream on directv.com recorded first. What do you all think? And I apologize about this stuff....I stupidly assumed we would be able to broadcast Berlin right away, not realizing the 4K stream would be problematic (lol so used to typing problematique...you Muse fans) and the only version that exists has fucked up audio for the first 5 minutes. We can still do it though. Then Guitar Center Sessions + KROQ AAC happened after that and it just got pushed to the back burner. Let me see what we can do. Thanks everyone for the countless PMs and emails about this Guitar Center show...we aren't giving up on it yet and I promise we'll get this HD version out somehow, someway, eventually to everyone. The good news is that we have a month before the USA tour starts so that we can devote all of our attention on this recording.
