  1. I can guarantee you pit was available, it just goes SUPER fast for shows at that venue because the pit area is so tiny. I had the same problem for PR07, couldn't get pit for Houston during presale or the general onsale. Ended up paying double face value on StubHub but it was worth it.

I got a pit ticket for Dallas! Will you be there Numbrocker?

Yeah I must have just missed it. I might go to Dallas. Depends on where I'm working after graduation.

Where do I get the presale code? I'm in lpu but didn't get any email.

Check your LPU account on the website. It's in there right when you click into "Manage Account" when you scroll down to "External Codes."

  2. Eh got good seats for $70. I'm thinking pit wasn't even available in Houston because it was telling me sold out at 5:01.

I'm excited that I'm going with a bunch of friends. If you're going to Houston come say hi! ;)

Also hopingprayingwishing the summit is in Houston. After Chicago/New Jersey the south deserves one. Plus they have that free time right before it, and the Woodlands is a lovely venue.

  3. Anyone heard prices? I'm considering Charlotte. But I'm gonna have to consider pricing arrangements since I'll probably have to stay the night!

    Charlotte

    US $35.00 Ticket + US $10.50 Fees = US $45.50

    US $110.00 Ticket + US $19.25 Fees = US $129.25

I don't know if the LPU presale code will give a discount, but that's what I believe it'll be for the general public. Each show is a bit different, but those are the numbers for Charlotte.

  4. That's what's confusing to me - what happens after the third song? they just kick you out into the rest of the place? By the time the third song's over, the only places left would be shit

If you get the package that says 'Premium Reserved Ticket' instead of GA, then your ticket will be somewhere in the first 10 rows.

  5. FYI that Mars tour posted isn't for a legit show, that's just a template for a poster.

That's so uncool to use a city they aren't even going to as a template. I know people in Austin who'd be thrilled they didn't have to drive to Houston or Dallas for a show.

  6. Those aren't ticket prices. MARS offers special packages like that for Meet and Greets, Soundchecks, guaranteed on-stage pass during Up In The Air (MARS brings people from the crowd up on stage during the last song), etc.

That's what I meant. Obviously not that much for just the ticket. It was like 4am when I saw the leak so I don't remember much, but the PACKAGES were $300-$500. Might not be the same for LP. I assume we'll find out when they go on presale.

EDIT: Soul that Austin date was NOT on the tour. You guys think that's an extra date?

  7. There was a leak EARLY this morning about the 30 STM packages and prices were around $300-$500.

The way they are doing this I think 30STM and LP are coheadlining like the Linkin Park/Incubus Tour, but with Linkin Park ending the show.

  9. why dont you like 30stm?

Well I haven't heard good things from people who've been to recent show, and I'm not a huge fan of their music. I've listened casually, but I've never felt the need to listen to a whole album. Plus it's just annoying that because they're on the bill they'll be hiking up the ticket price.

  10. $60 lawn to $120 pit plus service fees seems like where they will be. I'm pretty sure I'll be going to the Houston show, which will be my first show in that area. Hope it's a special one.

The Woodlands is a phenomenal arena. Best outside venue I've been too. Only downside might be that it's really hot.

Those are not cheap prices, and I have others saying it'll be similar to that. Ugh I don't have that much. Might be getting seats if I get anything. :(

  11. This is all but confirmed, which I assume will happen this week.

Anyone wanna take a guess at ticket prices? I'm definitely going to Houston, but I have a feel the tickets are going to be too much for me to go to another show this year.

  12. It happens, a few dates always leak every year. I wonder when the band will announce the tour. This week or later in March?

Well the text under the FB page says tickets go on sale Friday. THIS Friday. So the whole smoke thing might be LP doing a huge announcement of Tour/Album/Single.

I wish it was later in March. I need more time to get money together. Probably just going to one show, if I can go at all. Seriously bummed by the 30stm being the supporting group. I would have loved for it to have been Rise Against or for them to do their OWN tour. Keep prices down and let us pay for the group we actually wanna see.

  13. Tour schedule looks like what they would do with maybe some surprises for the B Cities.

I REALLY hope that since Chicago and New York got the Summit, and West Coast just a lot of things in general, that the South will get some love. I doubt I'll be able to travel too far for the Summit this year. I honestly didn't think that they would have the album and tour put together this soon.

  14. You can click and drag parts of the cloud images around, looks like it's basically a layered series of animated .gif images (each cloud is its own image). Hmm...this might be a puzzle.

True but I think the pieces are too circular to be a puzzle. At least I hope not because that would be a pain in the butt to solve.

  15. Anyone surprised that while LP is finishing the album, Mike is going to be helping teach a class? :P Always amazed by Mike's work ethic.

Not even bothering with that article/interview after reading the comments.

"will be interesting to witness the crowd exodus after ‘Pushing Me Away’ to go catch other bands; Linkin Park will undoubtedly move straight into their less popular new material after playing Hybrid Theory."

    Seriously? This guy is clueless.

  16. I'm pretty excited! I'm actually really glad that Mike really didn't say anything about how the album would sound like, since they never really know until they're done. I feel like I can go into this without any preconceived notions.

I know Rick is supposed to be helping on this, but I think it would be cool to have Mike take the helm and maybe just consult a bit with Rick.

Summer was earlier than I thought, but that's cool. Gotta start saving for the eventual US Tour. :D

  17. I like LP as a band much more than STP but you are misleading yourself if you've seen both LP and STP in the past year and think Chester is having more fun with LP. Watch him play Faint. Then watch any STP song from the show. He is really jamming huge.

LP is phoning in songs like Faint, etc live right now and it's very obvious. If you disagree that's fine but I'm telling you Preston and I saw the band in Jacksonville and it was ridiculous.

Yeah I think Chester is having a lot of fun with STP. I honestly think it suites his voice more and I have 100x more plays of High Rise on my iPod right now than LIVING THINGS.

Also STP isn't a sideband, Chester is in two legitimate bands and from the videos the STP stuff just translates better live for Chester than the recent LP stuff IMO.I wasn't able to make it to a show, but the videos I've seen really make me wanna go.

I'd love to hear STP put out an explanation as to why this happened since the point of joining up with Chester was to prevent this from happening to begin with.

I'm probably one of the few on this site who's looking forward to both STP and LP's new albums. I can be a fan of both projects. :P
