Tribute bands dressing up and acting like the bands they're paying tribute to is nothing new. And there are plenty of tribute bands out there for other acts that are still touring and recording. Hybrid Theory is far more popular than any tribute band I've ever seen which is why I think it feels exploitative to many people. As long as they cover their bases on the legal side, I don't see any problem with them continuing to pay tribute to a band they obviously have a lot of passion for.

People in general tend to think the lead vocalist of the band is always the primary lyricist as well when it's actually extremely common for vocalists to sing words written by a different member of the band.
-
Does this stuff happen for other bands too? I swear Linkin Park is the only band I closely follow that has these kinds of mistakes continually pop up.
-
I'm excited about the possibility of Linkin Park returning in whatever fashion that may be. This seems like an odd thing to just make up so I'm assuming Jay heard something - even if it turns out he misinterpreted what he heard and is way off base here.

I wouldn’t say we’re devolving, we’re really just sharing what we think about the release. I wouldn’t complain personally but I’d like it if more songs had these, so we don’t have to rip the tracks with flawed AI that we pay for.
There are many free options available now. Nobody should be paying for AI vocal/instrumental separation at this point.

I am fairly confident that naming Pushing Me Away "The Cure For Mr. Hahn's Itch" was a misprint on the label.

Three Band Terror is just a demo for Until It Breaks though.
-
I'd love more Funko Pops based on the albums like the Hybrid Theory and Reanimation ones. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how they would do that for like A Thousand Suns or The Hunting Party.

I do make it for myself. I upload things because there's a chance that somebody else will like it too. But go off since you know more about my motivations than I do.

I literally could not care less about likes and views.

I think there is absolutely ZERO difference. You’re both taking advantage of someone who is dead. It’s trashy on both accounts. In what way am I "taking advantage of" anybody?

I think there's a gulf of difference between a fan tribute to the man and using his image for commercial gain in a battle royale game. I'm not saying AI voice clones are beyond moral scrutiny, but I don't think the fact I dabbled with that tech prevents me from calling out something like this.

Says the guy that uses Chester’s voice in AI tracks 🐸☕️I'm not profiting off a dead man or putting his image in a position to be repeatedly killed.

I guess my only thought when I saw Fortnite was the Battle Royale mode. He would be a pretty cool addition for the rhythm game.
-
That seems in poor taste.

When GATS dropped I was living in a hotel during a very rough period of my life. I remember it as one of few things that excited me at the time and I listened to it a lot. As dumb as it sounds, looking forward to THP was a big part of grounding me and pushing me forward for those few months.

I feel dumb. lol Oh well.

He can't have believed in his case too strongly if he was willing to drop everything for a box set. lol

Nine Inch Nails recently had a couple of songs added to this. The version of March of the Pigs even included a studio recording of the live outro they've been playing for years which was really cool to have.

With the exception of The Nothing, Korn has released b-sides for every album going back to SYOTOS. They release b-sides all the time!

There aren’t really any demos or b-sides for Collision Course. But we need that Roxy show from the vaults. Perfect chance to do it.
The only demos that might exist would be the original mashups that were made before they rerecorded vocals (and that one guitar part for Numb/Encore). Those would just be inferior versions of the songs we already have. I don't think we've ever heard of a mashup that was started and left unfinished. The whole thing came together in a couple of days, right? It's been a while since I watched the DVD.

Did they actually do anything to Blackbirds that late in the process? I know Not Alone and Pretend to Be were started during the MTM sessions and finished post-MTM, but I always thought Blackbirds was finished during the MTM sessions and just wasn't released until much later.

I think I would put What Are You Worth in front of Good Goodbye and Friendly Fire in front of Sharp Edges. Where would you put them? Would you omit something else in their favor? How would you shuffle the tracklist? Place to Start and Make It Up As I Go also had their origins in the OML era. Would you include either of them?

I really like the bridge of FF. Otherwise it doesn't really stand out from the rest of the One More Light sessions. It's a solid but unspectacular song like the rest of that batch.

Weird that they took the time to do some transitions here and there but didn't use the single versions as the bases, so we still have a couple moments where album transitions were just edited around instead.
