Doesn't track 14 have to be on this list somewhere? https://linkinpedia.com/?title=List_Of_Unreleased_Songs

Looking for an Answer, Out of Reach, or something never heard of, right? What else even is there?

Wasn't "My Horizon/Horizons" registerd on BMI in 2019?

Dave confirmed they were working on new music before the pandemic hit us.

Maybe they finally reworked it (or finished/polished it enough) to release it as a brand new single.

THP song is more than likely. There is no other THP song and Friendly Fire is soft song. If they want to balance it with heavy song and satisfy every fan, then they will add THP song as track 14.

But there's no reason for them to be so secretive about it if it's a THP song.

What I should do: manage expectations, Track 14 is probably just another demo they want to save for later in order to extend the marketing campaign of the GH.

What I will do: obsessing over the thought it might be an actually new track from the band.

    This! Exactly this.

It's actually making me cry out of excitement just thinking about it.

But we must keep expectations low ofcourse.

Mike is assembling his own Avengers. Sydney, LA, London, Berlin.. what else?

I thought Mike would jam with Matt Harris and Dan Mayo since I saw Dan posted in his social media that they met with Matt.

That's still possible if the "Mike Shinoda & Friends" rumours are true.

Maybe they are rehearsing and jamming for that.

I am confused by your comment. The context of the interview you mention was Linkin Park but what is happening now is very obvious something solo/non LP. I don't see the relation and I don't think anyone in this thread is expecting something LP-ish.

There's literally people above talking about LP being gone for good.

I'm just stating that Mike's thing doesn't mean that LP won't come back.

  6. Guys calm down, don't forget that during the KROQ M20 interview Mike said that touring at the moment wasn't really possible, but that alot of other things regarding Linkin Park is starting to be possible again.

Seconds later in that interview he even mentions how careful he has to be with saying stuff like that to the fans because of their imagination, so he wouldn't say something like that if it wasn't a real possibility to begin with.

Is there real hope for a new album?

Maybe not in the direct future, but that doesn't mean that there isn't a chance the guys are just cooking up at least some songs together, may it be for release or only for them to jam to.

I had hoped for "Linkin Park and friends" and this is pretty much the next best thing, assuming it's gonna be Mike playing a mix of his and LP songs with other artists. Bonus if any LP members join him

I wonder if any members, especially Brand and Rob given their absence from Meteora 20 appearances, may have mostly decided to hang their hat with LP. If they did, I imagine that's making it harder to pull off "LP and friends", but still not enough for Mike/Warner to want to put out any definitive words about LP

Tbh i have the feeling that Rob is the only one who's definitley isn't coming back.

  8. Mike Shinoda, if you ever read this: You are fucking awesome!
Damn i love massive so much.

If LP wants to bring out new music i don't necessarily need it to be as heavy as Massive, but the vocal skills are absolutely there to continue with him alone fronting this masterpiece of a band.
Yes Chester is irreplaceable, that's exactly why LP should go full-on experimenting with this type of shit, instead of finding someone to be the new fronting vocalist.

Find someone with a different kind of vocal style of both Chester and Mike, us him as AIC uses Duvall and write the history from there on out, and take back that place as the number one alternative band (post 2000) on this planet.
