Pretty sure they would include the album version of Pushing Me Away
It's like they're pushing more away their fanbase, literally.

Imagine next year would be WB releasing another compilation called LINKIN PARK: THE BALLAD COLLECTION
1. My December (Piano Version)
2. Pushing Me Away (Piano Version)
3. Shadow of the Day
4. The Messenger
5. Robot Boy
6. TINFOIL+POWERLESS
7. In Between
8. Final Masquerade (Acoustic)
9. Valentine's Day
10. I'LL BE GONE (Primo rework) - this could be their lead single
11. Burning in the Skies
12. ROADS UNTRAVELED
13. The Little Things Give You Away

I have a strong feeling that the band will have something in the future, which is not related to album anniversaries. maybe in 2025, they will back to touring (without any new album, it's possible, just like SOAD)
No album but EP would be plausible. Testing the waters with few new materials with Shinoda on vocals or sprinkled with BBB vocals too.
-
I think only streaming and digital versions are the only ones using the album versions. However, CDs and LPs are new altered cut of the album versions without the transitions in order to segue to the next track smoothly.

HT20 part 2
ha! now that you mentioned that. I haven't opened my HT20 since 2020. I don't even know what copies I have. What error does HT20 have? is there a misprint?
-
lemme check mine. I haven't opened my CD yet. I'm still waiting for the cassette and the splatter vinyl to arrive.

I do not rule out the possibility that the female singer will perform only new material. Except for a few LP songs. It is also possible that they will perform under a new name.
What is it? LINDSAY PARK?

Another shitty cashgrab by WB.

No one does it better than LINKIN PARK. They master that sound and no one will be able to replicate that sound other than LINKIN PARK themselves.

Why replicate the sound of 20 years ago ? That’s not what I would find exciting TBH
Because it's their true SIGNATURE sound? why pretend to be somebody else when you have the starpower of HT and Meteora. Heck, LP could've had been bigger than Coldplay or Taylor Swift today.

Exactly man
Everything on HT and M sound like they were recorded yesterday.
Even the synth sounds that they used they dont sound like something outdated, the drums and guitar sound really nice too.
I don't mind an old-school LP album with Shinoda as a lead singer as long it's in the style of Nobody's Listening, High Voltage (HTEP), etc. Give Joe Hahn something to do beside pressing the MIDI. Let him scratch like he used to.

I've always said it, people didn't wanted a "heavy" LP record, they wanted Meteors/HT all over again
Nailed it.
Those sounds defined LINKIN PARK. MTM, ATS were cool experimentations but HT/MET will always be their SIGNATURE SOUND. It's 2024 but it's still sound fresh and unique for a 20+ year old albums.

What about Mike Shinoda's Post Traumatic orange vinyl that was rumoured few months ago?

It happens. There are plenty of artists who got sued for not paying for the samples used in their songs. Black Eyed Peas, Jay-Z, Limp Bizkit, ...
There are plenty of so called "legacy acts" who haven't released an album in over 10 years but still tour on a regular basis. You really only need to want to play shows, which Mike has stated that it's off the table for Linkin Park at the moment. The way things are going, it seems more likely for them to release new songs than to tour. Basically what Mike has been doing with his solo career, releasing random singles but playing no shows at all.
Fair enough. Are bands supposed to comply their contracts? and part of that is that, every new song, you go on tour, promote the hell out of it. I know, we are currently living in a dystopian LP era because of what happened, so WB probably amended their contracts? or did I miss something?

Yes this would be nice. And anthems like Faint or In The End, Mike can do his parts and let the crowd sing Chester’s. Or if they have touring bands, maybe guest vocalist? Would be cool. There is a lot of stuff they could play with Mike as main frontman too. They also don’t need to do 2 hour + shows if they don’t want to.A tour is possible if only and ONLY if they make a comeback. A comeback tour means there should be a comeback album to promote. Unfortunately, for a comeback album, it needs to be a universal album where the music, the lyrics, the production should be catchy and anthemic with MS doing the lead vocals. It needs that familiarity of CLASSIC LP sound but also a bit of experimentation here and there.

I’ve never really seen this discussed but how would you guys feel about the band returning but to play shows only? As in no new music but as a touring band maybe with guest vocalists or just Mike and having the crowd sing Chester’s parts? Might be kind of cool. I feel like this way fans wouldn’t be upset that Chester was being replaced as they wouldn’t be doing new music but we could still get LP shows.
With LINKIN PARK shows moving forward, they will have every opportunity to dig deeper into their catalogs. Mike could revive the HIP-HOP medley, High Voltage in full, heck even majority of Reanimation because it's been re-imagined HT as hip-hop/electronica. Mr. Hahn can have 10 minutes of highlights with Rob Bourdon (probably Session). Bring Phoenix to showcase his cello skills or let him play the violin part of In Between. Each members have their own moment to shine.

I meant samples. Anyway, if you use something like the Moscow intro to open your show, believe me that if they were doing that without paying anything, Warner would have noticed. We're not talking about an small underground tribute band.
how did you know all about these information?

I dislike bands that dont have the approval of the actual band. the HT fake band is already playin in arenas and festivals, thats messed up.
i dont mind cover bands playing clubs.
Totally messed up. I can't believe that they are booked for Rock in Rio for festival show.

FF will debut #1 in the billboard rock and alternative airplay chart. LP still big as fuck
This is a sign that LINKIN PARK is still missed by many. A comeback album would be even bigger if the time is right.
P.S. - What will going to happen to the HYBRID THEORY band when the real, legit LINKIN PARK comes back?
-
1. Stopped working with Don Gilmore - With third release, they can go bigger than HT and Meteora combined. Could even bigger than Rick Rubin's Minutes to Midnight. If we got, let's say BRONTICUS as their third album with Don Gilmore, easy commercial success.
2. Worst decision for stating that, "We don't make albums like we used to, We check the list of collections of songs and release it as an album" - They should've had take risk after ATS. Go crazier with their sound. Releasing LT was a total regression from ATS and I was disappointed when it came out.
3. Self-producing THP - God, they couldn't even get someone to guide them with that album. They should hire an external producer.
4. Decision-making in choosing songs that ended up in OML (album) - FF is the pure definition of pure LP sound. The drums are crisps and articulated, the production is top-notched and no trap beat sounds quirking in the background.
5. Mike being avoidant with Hybrid Theory and Meteora sound - It's clear that they were exhausted with those sounds. But Mike should remember that they are on top above everyone else with that sound. No one can do better with that sound beside LINKIN PARK. He got cocky lately with his statements that revisiting that sound is not challenging anymore. He added that it's gonna take him 30 minutes to write an album with that CLASSIC LP sound.

Yeah the live version is 1000 times better, the studio version is cool but is kinda toned down in energy
That's why Rick Rubin sucks. He ruined the song. I miss Don Gilmore so bad. Everything he touches turns into instant CLASSIC.

Im reading all comments and you know what I think, stop crying. We all know OML was not the best album and from this time all songs sounds similar. I can bet if they make next album would be banger, but Chester not with us, so we never know how it could sounds. Im just happy to hear any old new song, because its someting extra, still hope we will get full songs from mtm/LT or AS which was not got through final cut.
We just want a new CLASSIC LP Record. No gimmick. just pure CLASSIC LINKIN PARK.

There will be a time that HT will be dissolved and that vocalist guy would want to audition for LINKIN PARK.
