  1. Well, LPA trying to say it's fake since the guy didnt mentioned them on twitter with the link.

    Posted Image

I can't blame LPA though for that. Tons of rumors come out all the time for the album, tours, etc. It's just your discretion what you post. We don't post a lot of it, but if we do think it looks abnormally legit (like this) we'll definitely post it with a disclaimer. Personally, I don't see why something from a Warner Bros website would be fake, but that's just me. I don't blame them for wanting a more official source. "We are being careful about posting that tracklisting until we can confirm or debunk it's legitimacy. We don't post unconfirmed info." That's their policy on unconfirmed rumors...LPL posts more rumors than they do, but with that you always run the risk of posting stuff that turns out to be fake (it's happened to us 100x lol). LPA wants their stuff to be all legit, which is perfectly fine.

We just like to post a wide variety of stuff :)

I clearly remember LPA being #1 fansite to post every sh*t that sounded remotely legit without even check the source back in LT cycle, "it makes hype" was the motto back those days.

Haha, me too. I'm sorry if any of LPA members over here feel offended.

They don't feel ashamed for taking fun of other fans/sites who are constantly mentioned over their "shoutbox" with the caption "haters gonna hate", don't feel sorry for people who doesn't feel sorry for their behavior.
  2. A report from a listening session hosted by Mike at MSR Studios in NYC:

I was at a listening session hosted by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park at MSR Studios over on West 48th Street in NYC.

He played 5 of the 12 songs that will be on The Hunting Party album, now with a TBA release date later this summer. The band is still in the mixing stages on all and final recording stages on the rest. (“Guilty All The Same” is the first single, and dare I say, tamer than what these tunes are like!) The 5 songs, “Keys To The Kingdom,” “The Wastelands,” “Until It’s Gone,” “All For Nothing” (featuring Paige Hamilton of Helmet!) and “Rebellion” (featuring Daron Malakian of System Of A Down) were all still unmixed, but every one sounded great! The band self-produced except for one of the tunes (I think it was “The Wastelands,” which was co-produced by Warner Bros Records president and A&R chief Rob Cavallo.)

I have to say, each song was better than the next, they are all extremely heavy, and as Mike said, some may even sound like prequels to their first album, Hybrid Theory. As I said to Mike, after all the “Rock Is Dead” critics and naysayers out there trying to forecast the death of active rock radio and its music, this album will totally pour cold water all over those notions and prove to the industry is it CLEARLY NOT DEAD! This record has BALLS! And now one of the world’s biggest & most popular bands is making a statement to support the music they love. The guitars are smoking, it was all recorded live to tape. (Well, there still are some electronic elements, but they are certainly only a condiment rather than a meal here.) I can not say enough about how the reaction is going to turn heads and I can not WAIT to hear them do some of these songs live in concert this summer! Mark my words, it will be one of your favorite albums of the year!

Special thanks to Jas at LPTimes for the awesome find!

  3. That's what i said :P

I never seen one with a jack plug, i am interested on how the connection works.

    Edit:

    It doesn't transfer data, it's a dongle.

What I'm more curious about, can you still access the data once plugair is unplugged cause it obviously prevents you from using headphones.

I hope this exclusive content could be saved, otherwise would be a huge fail
  4. The PlugAir is one of the newest items to be introduced to the LPU. The idea is that exclusive content can be "pushed" to LPU members "through the cloud" so that they are able to access cool stuff right from their phones. Hypothetically (I'm just guessing at the possibilities), perhaps Mike wants to give an update from the studio - he is able to do it instantly and have it sent right to peoples' phones via PlugAir. Or if the band wants to show a picture or two from the studio, that's all possible with the PlugAir. And it's just for LPU members.

I am curious on how a jack plug can actually transfer data..

Or could it be just an hardware key which the App looks for when launched?

The big questions here is "Why are Summits no longer included in the LPU package?" The reason that they are no longer included is because with Summits (depending on the city and venue), only a VERY small fraction of LPU members were able to take advantage of the Summits. Everyone was paying for Summits when only a small amount of members could actually attend. At the same time, this is why the digital membership is now $20 instead of $25 and the lanyard/laminate ($5) can be purchased separately. At festivals (which a lot of international LPU members can only attend due to how the band tours), early entry for LPU is not allowed. Even at some select headlining shows like in New York last summer, the early entry is pointless since the venue is all seated.

Now THIS is a valid point.
  5. When things are great they always find a way

Since it's a remix, it has obviously copyrighted campionated samples, and not every band, our beloved Linkin Park included, they think\act like the band you cited

That remix must be pretty shitty.

the hype for this remix is pretty stupid.

Following this argument, for you every unreleased\demo stuff is crap?

I declare that Pictureboard is shitty, i don't have to hear it for judge, i know because it was never released Posted Image

  6. Well sometimes movies/songs never get a release because they are so so so BAD that the creators are ashamed of the final product, like the movie 'The Day The Clown Cried'.

Well, i think just by the fact we know about its existence, means the product was already finished but last minute discarded.

Here it comes the reason "too dark for the album" and not some others, for a better Reanimation sound as meant by the band it didn't get into the album :)

Anyway, i also asked CrookOne to at least share a story behind the track, but he didn't reply (yet?)

This is a good chance for the man out there lurking hard to add something different in the next LPU CD ;)

    PS: Thanks for the shoutout!

  7. Get ready for the old fucked up LPU :)

Old GOOD LPU you mean? When it used to be a website with a proper forum filled with any kind of information and real interesting chats, where you really could ask to a band member useful questions for the fanbase.

  8. Previously posted on MSC:

Linkin Park were interviewed at the 2013 Echo Awards, while discussing several topics, Linkin Park were asked about tour since LIVING THINGS + will be released at the end of this month, and Mike said there are no plans for touring as of now because they are working on a lot of different things, such as LiNKIN PARK RECHARGE (Linkin Park’s facebook game, info here & trailer here), and the score/soundtrack for “Mall”, that’s directed by Linkin Park’s Joe Hahn, and as many of you know the score/soundtrack will be done by Linkin Park themselves.

No way this new HCT is gonna happen THIS year :P

  9. There was never a PR04 track released on a single.

    Partial shows released on singles:

+ other undated performances from Ozzfest 2001, Family Values Tour 2001, LP Underground Tour 2003 and Projekt Revolution 2004.

I was referring to PR04 live tracks posted on singles etc

Like Mark's, mine was an example, chill.

God, next time i'll remember to properly type my sentences because they can hurt infonazis.
