  1. I’d pay retail price just for the acoustic performances. Hoping I can grab a copy of this on Record Store Day, and that it’s on streaming services too!
  2. I like “Friendly Fire”, but as is the case with most LP studio tracks, I HATE the effects on Chester’s voice. It sounds more like AI than Chester himself. Thankful we get to hear unreleased music, though, and finally have QWERTY on streaming services. I hope the band never stop releasing material, especially if they want to open their live recording vault, which we know has hundreds of shows in it
  3. My "Meteora 20" wishlist had a DVD of the $2 Bill Detroit show (in full), or a full show from the US LPU Tour, but no complaints from me after seeing the contents! My favorite part has to be the Nottingham show. I was in my second year of college and stayed up all night to listen to the Webcast. I still remember hearing "Lying From You" for the first time, and playing the recording for my friend on our drive to see LP for the first time in Worcester, MA a week later on the LPU Tour. Can't wait to listen to a better quality recording of the FULL show!!!
  4. Not a fan of Chester's singing style during the, ahem, Grey Daze, but a cool project for fans that reminds me of those homemade acoustic/piano remixes of LP songs on YouTube.
  5. Just read the book over the last couple days, and loved every second of it. LP's interviews, like their music, always seem so rehearsed and overproduced. Not that this is a negative thing, but it leaves a lot of stones unturned. It was fascinating reading Jeff's recount of meeting Brad, discovering Xero, and hearing songs like "Blue" or "Rhinestone" for the first time. I was surprised by some of the details - like how long it took LP to offer Chester the lead singer role - and just flat out smiling ear to ear at other parts, like David Kahne going from hating the band to wanting to personally mix "Plaster." Great read, and I wish there was more to it, or a documentary made from it, with Jeff's archive of tapes, flyers, etc. Would also love to hear the band respond to it, but I assume they'll just dismiss everything or say they don't remember. Still doesn't make any sense to me why they had a falling out with Jeff, despite the details he gives in the book. I can see LP wanting to be in control of their career, and hurt/insulted over the "Replace Mike with Mad Lion" stuff, but I'd think they would trust Jeff and realize what he put on the line for them enough to be amicable.
  6. I can see how the PR:02 editing can bug completists and all that, but having great quality copies of these amazing songs/performances is blowing my mind as I watch the show again today. I can’t believe they’ve had this in the vaults for so long! Makes me excited for the Meteora anniversary, in hopes we get a full LPU tour show, with tracks like “Hit the Floor” and “Easier to Run” in great quality. Or a show from the Meteora world tour? The PR show was what I wanted most from the HT20 release and they didn’t let me down. Thankful to be an LP fan, and here talking about their music like I did back when LPU and this site launched so many years ago!
  7. Fingers still crossed that the DVD's are somehow available for purchase outside of the box set. They're the only thing I want, but I can't drop $200
  8. Super encouraging to see that people have not forgotten (no pun intended) about the "Hybrid Theory" set from Download. I think I have listened to that set more than anything else LP have ever released, in 20 years as a fan. Fingers crossed the full video is released!
  9. Me! But as Astat said on the LPlive Instagram review of the box set, including Docklands on this might mean we don't get one of the unreleased shows. At least we have the full Docklands show that LPlive released, even if it's not perfect quality. Maybe LP will put it out for the 25th anniversary
  10. They should have swapped out "Reanimation" for the Download Festival "Hybrid Theory" set. Makes no sense to me why they wouldn't include that in the box, unless they felt the DVD's satisfied the "live material" quota
  11. As of now, yes, but I'd be surprised if the DVD's are not available one way or another, whether it's for sale individually on Digital Platforms (itunes), or simply uploaded to YouTube like the DVD's for the International/Tour Editions of past releases (A Thousand Sunds+, Living Things+).
  12. Yeah, iTunes lists 80 tracks as part of the $49.99 deluxe edition. Looks like they have everything that the box set has, except the DVD content.
  13. So unless I missed something, the only thing truly exclusive to the box set is the 2 DVD's, with the unreleased concerts + Frat Party 2, right? Seems like everything else will be available on Spotify and other streaming services.
  14. I only want the DVD's. Hoping they do what A Perfect Circle did with their box set release, and make the DVD content available on iTunes as an individual purchase.
  15. What's on the DVDs? $200 is a major investment for someone who doesn't care about vinyl, but if the shows on the DVDs are worthwhile...
  16. Still holding out hope for the pro-shot video of the Download Festival full-album performance. Or a vinyl with that on it. Even make it one of the discs, along with the BBC full album show from '01 or whenever? I'm so beyond excited for this, and hope LP give the rest of their albums the same anniversary treatment when they turn 20
  17. It would be cool if they are planning a few different versions of this release, one of which contains an actual cassette tape of Chester’s audition tracks or something similar. I’m also curious if there will be a “single” released, in the form of an unreleased track/demo. I know when bands like STP put out Anniversary editions, they released a couple songs in advance. Not necessarily for radio play or to blow up the Billboard charts, but still felt like the modern way of putting out the first track from an upcoming album.
  18. Are we finally getting "Live at Docklands" released? Not that the LPlive version isn't great, but I wouldn't mind a BluRay
  19. Assuming it won't be slanderous against LP, I can't wait for this!
  20. While the negativity surrounding OML sucks, and could easily be taken personally, I'm at least thankful Chester (and the band) got to do a little bit of touring in 2017. It's great to see the crowd embrace the new songs, jumping up and down for "Talking To Myself", or singing parts of "Heavy" and "Good Goodbye". That hopefully gave LP some assurance that despite what critics or the minority of internet trolls said, the fans paying money for tickets and traveling to shows enjoyed OML for what it was.
  21. I'm expecting a remastered version of the original album, and a second disc of "Hybrid Theory" demos that have previously been released through LPU. I think a big part of the fan base has not heard the demos, and even if we have, it's not the easiest to get physical copies nowadays, much less have them all remastered on one compilation. I'd be shocked if anything "new" is released, based on the most likely "curator" (Mike) still having a hard time listening to LP music. My perfect release would have the 14th Anniversary set from "Download Festival", but that may be a longshot. I think the tracklist will look like this: Disc 1: Original Album Remastered 1) Papercut 2) One Step Closer 3) With You 4) Points of Authority 5) Crawling 6) Runaway 7) By Myself 8 ) In the End 9 ) A Place For My Head 10) Forgotten 11 ) Cure For the Itch 12) Pushing Me Away Disc 2: B-Sides, Remixes & Demos 1) My December 2) High Voltage (remix) 3) Sad (By Myself Demo) 4) Stick & Move (Runaway Demo) 5) In The End (demo) 6) Esaul (A Place For My Head Demo) 7) Points of Authority (demo from LPU 12) 8 ) Forgotten (demo) 9 ) Crawling (demo) 10) And One* 11) Step Up* *not demos, but played often during "Hybrid Theory" era
  22. I know the expectations of the LPL Community are high for a "Hybrid Theory" anniversary release, but after reading Mike's quote ("I don't want to hear his voice"), I wouldn't be surprised if it's almost like a "Best of LPU" compilation. Meaning we get the original album "remastered", and then a bunch of demos that have appeared on LPU albums, along with the B-sides from that era (High Voltage, My December). Nothing "new", at least to us, but to the masses, this is the first time the "In the End" demo, for example, is on streaming services. I also seem to remember the listening party for "One More Light Live", and Mike not being able to listen to the whole album. Wouldn't be surprised if he or the band just let the label or someone else on the LP "team" select, edit and mix the tracks that made the cut. Same thing could easily happen here, where the only real involvement we get from LP is a generic letter from Brad or something as part of the "deluxe 20th anniversary release".
  23. I'm curious about what percentage of LP's live shows were recorded, knowing that so much of their performances are allegedly taped by the band. Between those archives and the likely hundreds of hard drives of studio demos, I can't even imagine how much we haven't heard over the years. Hopefully everyone will find a way for us to hear things. It would be a cool incentive to release an old show yearly (is monthly too greedy?) through the LPU if the plan is to keep that going in the future. Even if it's just streaming, like the LPU CD's, it's better than nothing!
  24. I'd like a vinyl release of this show, please Honestly I think I've listened to this at least 500 times since it came out. The HT Download set was/is my gym soundtrack and I still listen to it at least once a week. The mixing and performances are amazing, even if it's "heavily edited" as the LPL notes imply. I'm still stumped as to why LP gave this set such little attention, only releasing it as the pre-order bonus for THP.
  25. LP Live does it AGAIN! Thank you guys so much!
