  1. I remember seeing some footage of when LP was recording THP, Chester jokingly said something along the lines of "All I do is sleep and they wake me up when they need me to sing". It makes me believe that he wasn't able to fully contribute to the writing process as much as he usually does since he was doing a lot of extensive touring with STP at that time.

Maybe this time around, Chester wants to contribute more to LP7 then he did to THP. I don't really see why there needs to be so much argument about it lol.

  2.

Are you trying to say that the album is further completed than people think? Because I'm pretty sure Mike or one of the guys mentioned that before. I think they are in more than just a songwriting stage at this point. In one of Mike's chats he said that it was a little too early to describe the sound of the record but he felt like they really had something big going.

If the collaboration was for a release on an LP album, I feel like we wouldn't be finding out about it until much later. LP has a reputation of keeping things like this a secret until the product is close to release. So since we know LP7 isn't coming until at least mid-2016, why would they be hinting towards the collaboration now?

I don't think this Martin Garrix thing is for LP7. I think its probably for a Martin Garrix release.

  3. Here's my theory... LP usually keeps things like collaborations a secret until around the official release time. I believe that this will be for Martin Garrix's next album rather than LP7. We all know that the LP writing process can change directions at any time. They wouldn't hint at a collaboration on their own album this early in the process.

  4. Why does Mike only play guitar on the ITE bridge for international shows? Furthermore, what's even the point?

Maybe its because there's nothing else for him to do, since the crowd is sitting in chairs for these shows. If I'm correct, he usually goes into the crowd for the second half of ITE.

  5. I don't think branding LP will take away anything musically from them, this is just an expansion of the name "Linkin Park". If anything, doing these kinds of things will bring more attention to the band in the future.

  6. I still believe that GATS, Rebellion, and Final Masquerade are some of the best tracks LP has released. The album is great structurally and musically, and I still find myself finding a new thing I like about each song after every listen. It would honestly be a contender against ATS in my book if UIG had stronger lyrics. I think that chorus kind of brings the whole album down a bit.

  7. I doubt that Numb, or even any of their material, is written on sheet music. There is no need for it because they write and record simultaneously into Pro Tools. The only time I think they would use sheet music would be for string arrangements. I don't think that this is the case for this picture.

The autographs are a different story though. I'm not sure about those.

  8.

    No, I don't think it's "over dramatic."

If I feel that such technologies are killing the definition of "performing," then I should be allowed to consider it exactly what I named it as.

What's next? Feeding your guitars and drums through a quantizing mechanism so that you are perfectly on time for your audience that is PAYING HARD EARNED MONEY to see a performance? There has to come a point when you're either willingly tossing your money at robots playing music, or wishing to capture traditional energy that is delivered from an organic atmosphere.

    I prefer the latter.

A "quantizing mechanism" doesn't make sense. If the musician was dragging behind the beat, how would it time correct their performance?

  9. in recent LPUTV episode another name from THP sessions discovered - "Thanksgiving"

if someone can take screenshot via LPU, that's be fair enough

Thanksgiving is Until It's Gone http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/jul14/articles/it-07-14.htm

Edit: also if you look at the PT session in the LPU TV, they have memory locations for each section of the song. If you count the measures its 100% UIG.
