"Unshatter" Coming Friday, April 25

Included on Linkin Park's new From Zero (Deluxe Edition) release in May with Up From The Bottom are new songs Unshatter and Let You Fade.

 

Digital stores have started to update the track time for Unshatter, listing it at 3:16. Screenshot from Amazon Music below.

 

 

Usually this is a sign that a new track is on the way sometime in the next few weeks. It would not be surprising if the band released a second song from the Deluxe Edition as the release is still about three weeks away. Whatever the case, it looks like Unshatter could be coming soon.

 

So far, nothing is known about the song other than it was one of the earliest songs with Emily, with Linkin Park saying on their website, "Unshatter" was an early track we made while recording From Zero; Emily's huge vocal in the bridge was one of the moments that gave us an indication of what was possible together."

 

Qobuz also reports "Unshatter" at 3:16 length and "Let You Fade" at 3:28 length.

 

Let's see what happens!

 

April 21 edit: Linkin Park has confirmed the song will be released on Friday, April 25, less than one day before they take the stage in Austin, Texas.

Does LP have video on private at their Youtube channel?

Maybe that could be an indication for a music video.

There must be so many with how much time passed, and I'm sure a few gems like the Mike-only version of TEM or "the first thing Emily worked on with Mike" will be saved for years to come

great that they releasing this as single. if this is the marketing will be, "Let You Fade" will be the last single releases which will be drop together with the album. i wonder if this track have a music video or maybe some visualiser. stoked! few days left!

Really looking for this one, as it's a song that was pivotal in the build-up of the new lineup.

 

First song Emily sang on (excluding early 2019 session with Mike only, not LP related) if I'm not mistaken.

The song outro is basically a transition...I hope Let You Fade will beautifully concluded this era (album-wise) ❤️

I don't like the sound of deluxe edition. While songs like Cut The Bridge, Emptiness Machine, Good Things go have guitars more in the front, Up From The Bottom and Unshattered have really really loud deep low end bass, guitars hidden in the back giving just the rythm, i don't like that. I prefer sound like there is on OML album. OML was a masterpiece in production. Perfectly balanced instrumentals, perfectly mixed vocals, here the mix is good, but it lacks depth for me. Drums are very clear on From Zero, thats a good thing but with the cost of hidden guitars and very loud low end frequencies. I would rather aim for a sound between meteora and From Zero (more on a From Zero side), so basically clear guitars, a little hidden drums (not that much as on meteora), and vocals with depth.

I think i like the song, but it'll also need to grow on me a bit I guess.

 

Fun verses, nasty bridge, but the chorus didn't really hit me on first listen. It's really Dead Sara sounding, which is cool. Very alt-rock, as not-LP alt-rock. It's both a different vibe for the band, but also something i feel I've heard other bands do. 

 

Let's see how this one develop with time.

Better than UFB, it’s like if BIO and Inside of me by DBS had a baby, quite grungy and very raw. Would have put this one in place of Stained which I terrible

In similarity it sounds like BIO and kinda Stained and CTB but most likely it sounds like Dead Sara and not in a bad way. It sounds like Dead Sara feat Mike Shinoda

But I like it. I sounds like BIO in some ways But it also feels fresh and new in LP's discograghy

this one is better than UFTB, IMO.
